I’m an addict… A Shabby Attic Addict! I recently noticed a friend«liked» something on Facebook and I just had to check it out for myself. I immediately noticed something I thought I would like and took the 30 minute drive to check it out and bought it on the spot but was not prepared to take it home. I did pay for it and returned 2 days later to pick it up. I didn’t even get into the front door to pick up my find and noticed a piece that she was just bringing in herself and bought it on the spot. She didn’t even have it in the store! Now I have even more things to put into the SUV. The owner was so kind enough to help me load and even secure the load(I will return her bungee cords just so I have a new excuse to shop). These pieces are different and brings back a nostalgia feeling for me that reminds me of being in my Aunt’s house when I was a child. Those pieces are now recycled, redesigned/repurposed and have a great eclectic design with paint, new hardware, or just repurposed. I found the pieces to be cool vintage — but not«shabby chic» of 10 years ago. You can even bring your old furniture and she will custom redesign it for you. There were pieces that had pieces added/removed and it looked like a new product with a new purpose. A museum of eccentric shabby chic AND reasonably priced. It’s art.

I have several pieces from the shabby attic. The owner does an amazing job at upcycling and refinishing furniture. The store is very boutique.

Very cool vintage décor, artsy and creative! Good selection of unique items, repourposed, all different kinds. Definately a store with«soul» unlike almost every furniture chain in the area… and half the price. Basically if you want to add character or history to a room you’d find the peice here, not in a chain store. Plus you can custom order the finish or have your own peices done. Pretty awesome!

Love this store. Creative pieces and wonderful owner. It is so hard to find people who care about their work and customers. The Shabby Attic does!

The Shabby Attic might be my favorite place to shop and favorite Facebook to stalk. The transformations are amazing. I have bought some amazing pieces there including a custom buffet for my dining room. I saw a new piece posted on the Shabby Attic Facebook page that had just come in and and they were still deciding on what color to paint it. So… I grabbed a door off of one of my kitchen cabinets and ran over there. They were able to paint it to match my cabinet perfectly for next to nothing. It is just amazing. I have not had one person walk into my dining room yet that hasn’t complimented that buffet. That being said, they are great place to shop for one of a kind pieces that are heavy and well made. They are not the place to go if you are looking for cheap IKEA type –modern furniture. Just look at the Facebook page and you will be blown away by the transformations. Oh and by the way. I like the cat that wonders around the shop :)

The review by «Olivia» with 1 star is a competator, THAT’S LOW. rating 1 star so you can direct business to yourself, how greedy do people get? This store has a lot of character, if you want to add something to your home that is a focus peice, antiqued, different, vintage or custom colors you can get it here for way less than you’d expect. the fact that you can bring a peice in and have it antiqued and customized is really cool.
