So I need a root canal and struggled to find someone that was in-​network with my insurance company that does root canals. I found Dr. Kamboh’s office online, and after reading the reviews on here, scheduled a consultation. Dr. Kamboh, his assistant, and his receptionist were both friendly and professional. His assistant took a few xrays, then Dr. Kamboh looked in my mouth for a while and took pictures using a little camera the size of a dental tool. He showed me the pictures and the xrays on the screen above my chair and thoroughly explained everything he saw. He pointed out multiple problems and recommended treatment. However, he was not pushy at all, just very thorough in his exam and with his suggestions. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the problem with my tooth, he referred me to an endodontist (root canal specialist). So at this point, I’ll be seeing someone else for a root canal. Also, I discovered that my dental insurance doesn’t even cover crowns, so I probably won’t be back to him for that either. In the event that my financial or insurance situation changes, I would definitely return to his office though.

I have to say Dr. Kamboh has been the best dentist I’ve been to so far. He is very personable and comforting and great at explaining any concerns or problems along with your options and what-​if situations. Although, I have always felt the reception experience to be a bit dry, but that’s not to be unexpected. But after my last visit I will not be returning. After learning of the «possibility» of my insurance not covering a future cavity filling procedure, they asked me to pay in full with the possibility of getting a refund should my insurance claim go through. Why would they not file the claim and bill me if it was denied? A «tentative» appointment was scheduled but then cancelled without any contact from them. I certainly don’t think this is how an office should be run and am very disappointed to say I will not be returning.

Let me start by saying that I absolutely dread going to the dentist… you never know what they will find, its uncomfortable getting poked in the mouth and all the procedures are not fun. This all changed when I went to see Dr. Kamboh. You go see him and his office, and everyone is so pleasant, nothing is uncomfortable and very gentle. When I have kids, I would take them to Dr. Kamboh as well. The best part is that Dr. Kamboh takes the time to explain everything rather than treat you like a number and just rush you through and move on. If you are looking for a dentist, look no further!

I’ve been going to Dr. Bala for several years now, and couldn’t be more pleased with my experiences. The office is comfortable, the staff is great and he utilizes cutting edge technology to improve the dental experience. For example, he has a device that takes a picture of each of my teeth. He can put the pictures up on the screen above the chair, and show me exactly where problem areas are, and then display x-​rays for an alternate view. Dr. Bala has replaced two of my fillings, and it’s been a smooth experience everytime — and it’s nice to be able to watch movies on the screen while they do their work. Another nice convenience is their appointment reminder system. I get text message reminders that let me confirm my appointments… a very handy feature. I highly recommend Dr. Bala and his staff at Lansdowne Dental Associates.
