This is a great space for events! It is affordable, clean, and the owner is a pleasure to work with. I recommend this space if you are looking for something in the Lansing area.

Salsa dancing in Lansing! Every other Friday, Salsa Capital comes to AA Creative Corridor. Beginner lesson followed by DJ music and people who KNOW how to dance. $ 5 entry. So glad I found this little gem… otherwise, the only other option are undergrad bars or places that only play techno/​top 40.

This review is for Salsa Capital, a salsa dancing social/​event that takes place usually on the 2^nd and 4^th Fridays of each month, from 8 PM to midnight. We start with lessons, at 8 PM, and the cost is $ 5 cash. There are usually light snacks but no drinks, so bring your own water bottle as it’ll get hot in there!
Salsa Capital recently celebrated their one-​year anniversary. It’s been exciting to see this event and venue develop and grow in the community. There are some really good salsa dancers here, but we also welcome newcomers. We need to keep salsa dancing alive in Lansing!
Oh, and I do notice the art – it changes every time. The venue has distressed brick walls, which is kind of cool and adds to the character of the place. Parking is free on the street.
