Ordered an hour and a half before close and they never delivered our order. Attempted to call multiple times and nobody picked up. Looks like they closed and decided not fulfill our order. Terrible customer service. Stay away!

This is my all time favorite spot in Lansing to go for to Asian food. I would have to say this is one of Lansing’s best kept secrets. They have a delicious lunch buffet, although I will say that it’s location makes lunch time a bit crazy due to the Capitol and all the business that lunch in that area. Best egg rolls and crab ragoons around. Beef and broccoli is a must, sweet n sour chicken, general tso all are amazing! Staff does not speak the best English but they are friendly and professional!

The food, customer service, and delivery times are all excellent! This is the only place we order from in Lansing. Highly recommend it.

Really great, great customer services are always so busy. Really really really busy but always manage to keep up run everything smoothly. And even thought their buffet isn’t really that big the items in the buffet are good and nice :)

The décor is your standard inexpensive Chinese buffet, clean and basic. I came during lunch with the intention of ordering from the menu. At noon during the week they were packed, every seat taken and a few people giving up on waiting on tables and taking a to go box up to the buffet. As they were so busy, they were not taking orders. I am not a fan of buffets, but I was already there and had limited time. I’m giving a higher rating because it was probably the best buffet I’ve had. Since the restaurant was so busy, the turn over for the food was quick so dishes were not sitting on the buffet. The food itself was standard-good. My only major issue was that I ordered hot tea and despite being in a pot, was luke warm.

The chicken mei fun is disgusting, tastes like pure onions and the crab rangoon has little to no filling. General Tso’s is terrible at best… Oh, and don’t order online because even if you add a tip they will write an additional tip on the receipt, cover it, and when you sign run for their car. Enjoy your $ 8 tip, you thieves.

I don’t live in Lansing, and was only in the area for an event at Lansing Center just a few blocks away. It’s usually pretty difficult fort to eat out because I’m vegetarian, but my partner and I had hopes that a Chinese restaurant would have something we could eat! Man, am I glad we stopped in here. On our first visit, we both order General Tso’s Tofu and an order of Spring Rolls. I’ve definitely had better Spring Rolls(these were much too hot to eat when they came out, and were a greasy), and I was seriously surprised by the tofu. I was expecting veggies and tofu with tons of sauce, but what I got was a huge plate of large fried tofu cubes covered in General Tsa’s sauce with a few pieces of broccoli on the side and a bowl of rice. Whoa, looks hearty. I tackled to tofu mountain fully expecting to be disappointed, but I was so very wrong. The tofu was cooked/fried/magically summoned to perfection with just enough sauce. It was so good, Unilocal. So good! And much too much food for one person, but I tried to eat it all anyway. Nope. Still had tons of leftovers after stuffing myself silly. On our second visit, we ordered the same thing, but this time with only one order of tofu. They were pretty busy this time, and were trying to convince people to get the buffet. It hadn’t been open when we’d come before because it was too late in the day, but I glanced it over. The assortment was pretty good, but I wasn’t interested; I knew what I wanted. The tofu was just as good as the last time, and the spring rolls were mostly the same, just not as hot. The service was alright, though nothing to write home about. The staff is Chinese, and doesn’t speak the most fluent English, but I never had a problem ordering anything. Most of the other customer’s seemed pretty pleased with their meals as well. I highly recommend Empire Szechuan, and I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the area!

Being a vegetarian, it’s difficult finding Chinese restaurants willing to tailor menu options for takeout or delivery. Recently, I was CRAVING sweet and sour chicken but not one restaurant would let me order sweet n sour tofu(it tastes way better than it sounds) except this place. Even though every Chinese restaurant I called had tofu in their menu, ONLY this place said they’d fry tofu and put sweet n sour on the side. Now, I ONLY order from here and haven’t been disappointed once… Well one time they forgot my chopsticks :(

This is no frills«Americanized» Chinese fare and the quality always meets or exceeds expectations. Their lunch buffet is an amazing bargain in the area, but come hungry! This is not the place to go for a business lunch but if you want great food at a terrific price don’t count Empire Szechuan out!

I typically order carry out and have never had a complaint. The food is always ready when they say it will be, and the lunch-sized portions are huge and only cost ~$ 5. You get either the white rice or pork-fried rice with your lunch entrée and an egg roll. I get pretty picky about my Chinese chicken, and sometimes that over-chewiness throws me off, but I’ve yet to encounter that at Empire Szechuan. Probably their big calling to people in the area is the buffet option, which I’ve tried once and I was surprisingly pleased with. Everything stayed stock while I was there and they had a pretty big variety given at how the space is on the small side. Definitely my favorite Chinese place in Lansing.

Dad and I went back again after several months of dining elsewhere. We found all the dishes were cooked through and nothing was cold or undercooked. The ladies who work there remembered us, one asked after my dad’s health, which was nice of her, as he has lost weight. Attentive service, hot food, filling. They’re back on my list!

Pretty decent food. Cheap buffet weekdays. Food prepared quickly for pickup during all times. The best Chinese food I’ve had in Lansing.
