Good food and friendly staff. Food took awhile to come out but at least it was hot and freshly prepared.

First the good part the décor is cool and good service. Now the bad part the meal, my appetizer was the boneless wings which was really heavily breaded chicken nuggets with very little wings sauce, yuck. Next was the main dish lake perch dinner. The fish skin under the batter was slimy and the batter was the worst I have tasted. The coleslaw was tasteless and the tartar sauce was loaded with dill, not good. My wife’s starter was a salad that was tiny and not many things in it but lettuce. Her main course was crab stuffed shrimp and I think described as large shrimp. The five large shrimp were each the size of my thumb and the crab stuffing was a fish flavored bread with no crab that I could see or taste with very little garlic butter sauce served on really dry Rice. Worst 46 dollars ever spent and I will never return. If I was allowed it would get ¼ star.

Love this bar and grill located just a short distance from downtown. Let me just say, huge beer! And great brews on tap, which they rotate to throughout the year both local brews and popular domestics. Burgers are delicious, beef or venison. Smelt baskets or as a side are a must. They have a crab soup that is very tasty.

We were visiting from Indy and stopped in to this little gem on Pennsylvania Ave. We all had great sandwiches, fish and entrée salads. The cocktails were OK, with a decent choice of beer. We were going to stop in again on the way out of town on Sunday for a quick sandwich, but they didn’t open til noon. Service was a little slow, but we really weren’t in a hurry anyway! –give ‘em a try!

I’m here quite a bit and I’m never disappointed. Whether you sit at the bar or in the dining area, the service is always top notch, the beer is always cold and the food is some of the best bar food you’ll ever eat. They have great pizzas, which are BOGO on Sunday. Deep dish and traditional crust are both winners. The cheese bread is the best I’ve ever had too. Their burger selection is quite extensive, with most stander burger combos like black & blue, bacon cheeseburgers, and olive burgers. They also have some interesting meat choices like bison and venison. If I only had one more meal here thought it would be the nachos. The large order comes served on home make tortilla chips with all of the fixings. Fully loaded with extra guac and you’re looking at $ 14 for a pizza pan sized platter that can feed your whole family.

Leo’s never fail. Very typical bar food… we usually order sandwich/fries kind of thing. Reuben’s and fish & chips are fantastic. What I love the most are the servers… these ladies know how to work! You never have an empty soda glass. Lunch cost under $ 20 for 2.

I really enjoyed the outpost… I think its the best leos of all three! My son had the fish sandwhich and it was killer. I tried the toasted club, and it was great. hot food, coldbeer, and great service… The big three. Try it!

If I’m out and I’m craving a brew with my meal then Leo’s is where I go. They have ridiculously tall mugs, somewhere around 32 oz. for a very decent price(varies on the brew). I usually come here for wings, fries and beer. The basket of fries is a good size for sharing and they’re so good. They have around 6 different sauces for the wings. It’s not Buffalo Wild Wings level of variety but it’s better than other places. I go for the boneless wings and what stops me from giving 5 stars is that it seems that sometimes you’ll get a piece that’s more of a nugget than a wing and shouldn’t count as one of your 12 wings. Let’s be real here though, that’s fat guy problems. It has a cabin motif and they play on that with log walls and wooden tables and chairs, a long wooden bar and animals on the wall. It’s cozy.

We never think to come here because all of their three locations are far from home but it never disappoints! We ordered a bowl of the Pepper Jack Crab Soup and the flavor was perfect although it was a little cold. Considering it was about 60 degrees in there(apparently A/C is free here) I wanted some hot soup but it was not hot. I ordered a bison burger with grilled jalapeños and it was amazing! I was craving a burger all day and it was the best thing I’ve eaten in awhile! The fries were okay, they were actually cold but I didn’t plan on eating them anyway. I love the décor! It’s log cabin style is very cozy! We keep wondering why we don’t come here more often. I like this place!

Went here last night for the first time. The place has the atmosphere of a hunting lodge, with animal heads decorating the walls. There is a small bar, and lots of TVs for watching the big game. We started by ordering the cheese bread, which was delicious. I then had the grilled chicken sandwich and my girlfriend had seafood nachos. Both dishes were very good. For the price, this place was pretty good. It was a cozy place to grab a bite to eat on a cold winter’s night.

Oh Leo’s Outpost. It is a hole in the wall bar/restaurant located off the beaten path in Lansing. It is a great place to go if you just want a big and hearty meal and a beer. The prices are also quite affordable and the crab soup is basically to die for. The service is rather slow so be patient– they are typically very nice staff but the place is huge so they can get busy quite quickly.

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to get good draft beer on a game night but not have to deal with a rowdy/super busy place. Leo’s Outpost was just what we were looking for! We had the salmon burger and seafood nachos — both very good — and got three seasonal draft beers. Yum. We got extra sweet potato fries — they were perfectly cooked and our very helpful waitress brought us extra dipping sauces. We’ll definitely be here again!

I gave this place great remarks in my first review last year but their service has gone spectacularly downhill and I have to regrade them accordingly. Still a great place for make your own Bloody Marys. It’s probably a better idea to make your own anyway as it would probably take at least an extra 15 minutes if they made it for you. Service is slow, slow, slow. Don’t come hungry because you will wait an eternity. It seems like a problem both with the kitchen and the wait staff. Even when it isn’t so busy, the wait times for service are astonishing.

Leo’s Outpost is a great little spot in Lansing. $ 332 oz drafts — seems like they are always on special. They also have other drink specials usually every day– last night was $ 3 vodka drinks. They have Excellent fish and chips; burgers; pizza etc. I usually sit at the bar, the bartenders are always friendly and service is good. In the summer I like to sit on their covered patio.

Leo’s Outpost is pretty good. I eat here off and on(maybe once or twice a month). Their pizza is the best and on Sunday nights you can get two for the price of one. The only thing that beats that is making your own. Yes yes, making your own pizza takes work, however this past summer I starting asking for Leo’s dough. At first it was a hassle to get them to sell it, but now, it seems pretty standard and costs just $ 3-$ 4. Give it a try, you won’t be sorry.

I’m told the pizza is amazing, but I always get the taco salad, because it’s delicious. Also, they serve beers in one of the largest glasses I’ve ever had the joy to experience. The prices are right, and sometimes they have karaōke. When you hear a train go by, you can partake in the«Train shot Special», which is not always tasty, but you gotta love the novelty.
