I stopped at the deli side of the restaurant for lunch because a lot of kids were downtown and everywhere else had long waiting lines. Specials are written on a dry eraser board outside. Prices were decent for wraps, a few hot dishes, and you can make your own salad, sold by the pound, however they do not have any type of menu inside. Odd. I had to go back outside to review the board and then come back in to order. Only a few items on the menu. Turkey wrap was good. Nothing special. I ate inside so I witnessed several other customers come in and ask about a menu. All told the same thing. Go outside to look. The menu at the counter is for the restaurant next door. It became humorous watching confused customers, most just leaving. Such an easy thing to correct. Get a menu at the counter for the deli! Owners seemed real nice but they seem to not have a clue what they are doing.

We just tried this new place. I went for dinner, I had the mango talapia, my daughter tried the chicken with sweet potatos… both were very good. The service was fast and friendly. Also the beer list is decent too. I think this place has will do well.

I held a retirement party for 75 people during happy hour at the Crafty Palate… great Michigan craft beers, yummy appetizers — spicy deep fried cottage cheese balls, asparagus roll ups and Asian meatballs. Servers were helpful and hostess Colleen was very accommodating. I’ll be back for lunch and dinner!

I’ve only been to the crafty palate once, but I had a super pleasant experience. I ordered their breakfast(eggs, toast and home fries), and was really satisfied with the quality and taste of their food, especially considering how incredibly cheap their menu is.(This place is like a college kid’s dream) My favorite food item would have to be their home fries; Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Our server was delightful, and the manager was really kind to us. She even sent us home with some coffee to-go! I definitely recommend trying the Crafty Palate. I hear they have a killer beer/wine selection, so I’ll have to come back for their happy hour!

I tried out this new local establishment on my lunch break yesterday. The salad, Mum’s Favorite, was delicious and came out to the table quickly. The server and manager working were both friendly and helpful. I am excited to hear that they will be starting a Happy Hour food and drink menu next week. I will definitely be back again.

I am happy to see the entrepreneurial spirit in downtown Lansing. The owners of this new establishment are eager and happy to serve. However, the best thing about this place is the fun little logo and catchy name. The Crafty Palate name is a misnomer unfortunately. There is absolutely nothing crafty about the menu or their presentation. Given the name, I thought unique sandwiches, a signature menu item, anything. Nope. I ordered the chicken salad wrap, which was on the outside«special» menu board @12:15. But nope. Apparently it had just been sold out… at 12:15. And this is a lunch special. So I ordered, upon recommendation, the herb turkey wrap. The woman helper behind the counter walks around to the cooler where the beverages are and grabs my wrap out if the cooler and puts it on the counter. Crafty indeed. The wrap was half filled and completely bland. Totally unmemorable… which is what this place will be unless they step up their game significantly.

I had the veggie sandwich and broccoli cheese soup. Homemade soup was excellent, the sandwich was good. However, they have a very limited menu for breakfast and for lunch. Four sandwiches offered, four or five salads and two homemade soups. Also some healthy sides. My concern is it won’t last very long with such limited offerings.
