Tori at studio 109 is a great stylist– i went to her for a year when i was living in lansing and she did a great job cutting my hair(i don’t get color so i can’t comment on her skills there). her cuts are well priced(i cant remember exactly but somewhere between $ 25 – 35 sounds right, maybe more now). Tori listens to what you want and provides input as necessary; she quickly establishes a rapport as to what you’re looking for in a cut(LAYERS?! conservative? edgy?) and makes sure to deliver on just those things. i have since moved away and long for the days of $ 25 haircuts and getting exactly what i wanted. i still refer to pictures of my younger self rocking one of Tori’s cuts to try and replicate with my new stylist(its just not the same!) i also went to studio 109 monthly to get an eyebrow wax, i saw Tori and Sunshine on different occasions and they both did a fine job– the waxing there is very straightforward, done right at the shampoo bowl(this isn’t a spa after all!) and got me in and out in 10 minutes or less. also, very affordable at $ 10

I was a little weary at first when I walked in. It was clean but a little bare bones. However, my stylist Sunshine made up for all that lacked. I can be a bit of a pain when your cutting my hair as I have to sisters that are cosmetologist and expect perfection but, she did awesome. Sunshine listened to everything that I wanted and did exactly that. When she was done she asked if I liked it or wanted anything different and I felt as though I could tell her anything and she wouldn’t have minded. The price was just right. I had two highlights and cut for $ 80! I will go back to her.
