3 stars for the tech guy. The wait was longer than I had expected, much longer. I probably could have activated it from home.

Sprint has the worst cell service. Dropped and missed calls. It can take up to 20 minutes to get a text. So if you considering what cell service to get get anyone but sprint. In addition sprint requires for your service to be less than 93 percent to allow you to cancel without paying Huge cancelation fees.

I have written complaint to corp. management in past yrs about slowness, inefficiency, rude personnel, etc and spoke with store management. Slight improvements were made after. BUT… This store is plagued with many issues corp should alleviate: Overwhelming customerbase due to only Sprint store in the community on this side of town [Calumet City/Lansing, IL areas]. Inefficient, under skilled personnel whom are equally less skilled at interpersonal communication/professional business cmmctn skill. Hdqtrs MUST do something to correct how this store operates.

I went to this store and had a horrible experience. I’ve been a Sprint customer and went to upgrade my phone. Every associate in the store informed me that I MUST upgrade to a family plan in order to upgrade. When I showed that I had no interest in changed, I was completely ignored by ALL store associates and left to call national Sprint customer service. Even the store manager ignored what was happening. Sprint customer service told me this wasn’t the case and a product of overzealous employees, I gave my cell phone to the store associate to speak to customer service and the store associated argued with their own corporate personnel. Eventually the store’s employees told me they couldn’t not help me if I wasn’t willing to upgrade to the«Framily» plan and that if I wanted to upgrade I should go to a third party such as Radio Shack or Best Buy to upgrade. The whole time, Sprint national customer service stayed on the line with me saying that wasn’t true and the store would not budge. Eventually, I left and went to the Homewood Store who completed my request with great customer service.

deplorable customer service, rude associates and gm, web says they have phones in stock that they say they don’t, AND you’ll grow a beard waiting to be helped(even the women!). I think I covered all the bases in that run-on, fragment of a sentence, but if you want to read more I will elaborate(semi-briefly). It was time for the BF and I to re-up the phones/contract– being a Sprint Premier member for the past 10+ years(as in sprint was my first and only cellphone provider EVER) naturally you re-up with what you know right? I find the phones I want online, and see that there are 7 in stock at this store and that I can reserve them online and make an appt online for the next day to pick-up/activate etc. I even called the store earlier in the day to make sure I had the appt/phones. Half Hour, in and out –on with life right? WRONG! I skate out of work early to get over to the appt on time on a Tuesday night and that’s where our trouble starts(and with enough time for the BF to make it to work). I bring my paperwork and tell the girl(because she CERTAINLY didn’t ACT like a lady, which is annoying since she was CONSIDERABLYMUCH older than a teen) that I have an appt to pick up my phones. She barked at me that I had to wait my turn and my appt«means shit, because there were other people here before y’all.» I said we reserved the phones online and have an appointment and start to hand her the paperwork and she retorts with, «and if we sell the phone to someone else while you’re waiting that’s not my problem.» My mouth stayed closed but my brain screamed a certain 5 letter word that starts with a «B». long story short we waited, and waited, and waited, and… they called us. no… and waited… after TWOHOURS of seething waiting for our«it doesn’t matter appointment» the store manager who was with ONECUSTOMER the entire time to activate 4 phones looked over and said«thank you for waiting patiently» Before I could catch it my mouth decided to declare«oh it’s not at all patiently!» All he did was frown. The Bf was surprisingly calm and stepped outside to make a phone call, little did I know he called Sprint. They called the store. The store STILL didn’t help us. Approaching the 3 hour mark now, the GM finally decided to stop taking care of the ONEGUY and go «look in back» for our phones that we had on reserve– can you guess where this is going? «Oh I was just informed that we haven’t had those phones in about 2 weeks.» REALLY?! I stormed out of the store, called customer service AGAIN and had to have them send me my new phones — and then THAT was a-whole-nother snafu! I am SOSORRY that I re-upped with them again, and I’m now stuck in a 2 yr contract that I CANNOTWAIT to get out of! While I’m waiting for time to run out I will be looking into finding a new carrier, which is a shame because before September and my dealings with sprint were pleasant and I would’ve recommended Sprint to anyone.
