Ordered breakfast takeout this morning. My family likes this place, this was my first time here and can say that today was just not the day for Round the Clock. When calling, the waitress had to check with the cook to see if he could make an omelet with egg whites instead of five whole eggs because he was busy and she didn’t know if he had time to. The request was not THAT absurd. When I picked up the food fifteen minutes after ordering it was all ice cold leading me to believe that items are precooked and the most of the food is microwaved. Overall, the food quality is extremely low. I could taste some type of chemical or plastic from the biscuits and gravy… those went in the trash. It was all EXTREMELY over-salted as well, even the bacon… which went in the trash as well. We also had two sides that were ordered and charged for, yet they failed to include them with our order. I wasn’t aware that breakfast food is that easy to botch, but Round the Clock certainly achieved the job.

Good food, extensive menu, and reasonable prices. I have visited several times. Pleasant music always sets the ambiance. Courteous wait staff. Open 24 hours.

Had breakfast this morning wanted use the $ 5 coupon I received in email but RTC wouldn’t honor it because it wasn’t a print out copy. News flash RTC if you’re so worried of repeated coupon use how about joining the 21st century by including a coupon code on the email offer or a scan code(no one is carrying paper anymore just like having cash). Think I was removed from the email list haven’t received any coupon offers since posting my last review, before than I received daily offers… Hummm, wonder why.

I’ll start by saying that our server was okay she brought our food in a reasonable amount of time, that’s about it. Once she handed everyone their order, we immediately noticed that she forgot 2 orders of fries that went with orders of hot wings. Both orders of hot wings were luke warm and not fresh. We asked her to come to the table and remake the hot wing because they were damn near cold, she agreed and took them back to the cook. So we looked up about 12minutes and she still had not come back with the missing fries nor the wings, So I asked to speak with a manager to express my dissatisfaction and she was actual nice and explained that they were short of cooks this night and that she apologized. The food that was sent back with the fries that ended up coming as we were preparing to leave we removed from the bill. I probably wont be back the food isn’t worth it.

When a smile is approached at the eggs Benedict I can imagine only a flow. This place rolls in the dough that left and right. Get down for some local entertainments but it does stand true.

The breakfast food is still pretty good. I used to really enjoy going to old location in Hammond because the love and kindness was palpable. You could feel the kindness. Something has changed since they moved to Lansing on Torrence. The employees at register seemed very somber. There wasn’t any happiness in this place anymore. Thats why I liked coming here :(

«thanks for voting us the best family restaurant for 20 years» Where did those votes come from? Nwi times? WHO? ummm okay… Although I wouldn’t vote the best. I basically came as a family and did enjoyed myself. Slightly reminded me of Denny’s &IHOP but better décor and more friendly staff. They are similar as those two chain restaurants in the fact they have an extensive menu, but are better known as laid back breakfast spots. I feel like that is the same here. I came for dinner around 6pm. greeted seated given menus and waiter was friendly and even when I tried to chug down my water so I’ll have something to complain about. Our waiter seemed to have notice 10 yards away despite talking and had a cold pitcher of ice water in front of me a few seconds after getting the last drop down. Well done. Based on the menu, they have a variety of burgers, Panini, salads soup and special dinner entry’s Most come with soup or salad and your choose of dessert. priced around $ 9-$ 15 not bad but not great if you don’t want the app/dessert. $ 3-$ 4 isn’t much when you want these things but a waste of money if just wanted the main dish. Worth a 15 min drive but after that… *shrugs*

Let me start by saying I didnt even have this app when I decided to write this! It is like they hired a bunch of kids to play restaurant! I’m currently staring at 7 of them standing behind counter laughing at each other and with the cooks. maybe if they actually did something and stopped distracting the cooks they wouldn’t have burnt the toast on a chicken salad sandwich! I only come here when I’m to lazy to go to the one on 41. but everytime I’ve been here(4 times) they are always standing around talking. food is ALWAYS below avg. I ordered orange chicken stir fry my second time there and they literally had every item seperated on the plate. Chicken, rice, and vegetables! IT’S STIRFRYYOUIDIOTS. THEWORDSTIRISINTHENAME! Nobody is properly trained! Every waiter I’ve had was about 17 and awkward or spoke 12,000 mph like the girl I had tonight(Brittany).and she decided to put a big normal spoon in our soups tonight? Wth. it isn’t the end of the world, but correct me if I’m wrong. the soup spoon is made for SOUP! Staying on the top of soup. I got cream of broccoli and it was more like broth of broccoli! Get some damn experienced staff in here its a joke. i would have put 0 stars, but that isn’t an option!

I have been to this restaurant a good couple times before, and have always loved their service and food. Before my experience tonight, I would have given them four stars. Tonight, however, unfortunately made me take one off. I tried their fettuccine Alfredo pasta for the first time, and it was bland. And not the«Oh, I’ll just add salt/pepper/parmesan(sp?) cheese to it» bland. It was«how is this still bland after I’ve added –enter spice here– to it?» bland. The wait staff was very friendly in making sure I’m happy, so they offered to switch out my meal. I agreed and asked for a menu. Since I’m mostly vegetarian my options were limited, and the wait staff suggested not to go with the spaghetti because its not usually good and made in a meat sauce. So after talking to the hostess, she suggest the veggie teriyaki. I requested extra cheese on it and ordered the dessert that came with it and took it to go. After arriving home, I find my meal with no cheese at all. They did toss in an extra slice of cheesecake though. So, overall, they were very friendly but it wasn’t the best experience. I usually get their breakfast or just come in for their lemon rice soup, so I’m normally more then happy with their service. I’m sad to have to take off a star just for one visit, but it did make quite an impact.

The only thing good this place has is it’s clean. I went there with my girlfriend for dinner and the experience was bad. The restaurant was dead with the exception of a few other patrons. We were waited on a moment after we sat down and got drinks. We said we needed a couple more minutes to think about our order. The waitress came back 8 minutes later. I ordered a chicken fettucini alfredo. It was an extremely large portion with little chicken. The chicken was cut into strips instead of bite-sized pieces as is standard. The chicken was also dry. Over the course of our 1hr 45min visit i saw the waitress 7 times. 4 times in the beginning to take our drink order, give us our drinks, to take our order, and give us our food. Twice in the middle to get our glasses and bring us refilles. Last when I walked up to the counter by the kitchen pass to ask her for our bill. The manager was at the register and cashed us out. Never asked how our meal was. I will not be returning to this location in the foreseeable future.

Slow service, rarely smiled, drinks were neglected for quite some time, and it took forever to get the check. Food was dry, I do not recommend the biscuits, the fried chicken, or the fish. Even their sandwiches are dry. The pie is stabilized with gelatin. So much so that I can taste it. Breakfast items tend to be what they do best. I would look somewhere else if you are not going for breakfast. Also, the rt. 41 and rt 30 establishments are better service.

Food is ok, not a number one pick but for lansing, IL you really can’t beat it. Wish they had a better variety to choose from but it will do.

Went with my parents and Grandma to Round The Clock for Sunday afternoon lunch. The space is very clean and new with more current family dining décor than most similar Family restaurants. The staff was friendly and our server was young and eager to please. They have great senior specials and a wide variety of standard American options. I went with the lemon pepper grilled chicken breast. It came with soup or salad, a veggie, choice of potato and dessert. The flavor of the chicken was very good, the veggie was carrots and I didn’t eat them(should have asked what the daily veg was), my baked potato was good and for dessert I had a small slice of coconut crème pie which was tasty. I did try a bite of my Grandma’s fish and chips(perch) and they were great! Light and crispy breading and the fish was fresh. It is the fish & chips that put me at 4 stars. I expect this location will get a TON of traffic soon as they are building a Super Wal-mart in the complex. Overall, this is a very affordable choice for families and seniors with a friendly staff and a wide variety of menu options.
