I waited over 2HOURS! Called the place, they said they had no idea where it was. They then told me it would be there it 10 minutes, it took another 20 minutes. Deliver guy finally got here, he gave me the completely wrong order and no drink. I ended up having to call-in to work the next day because of how ill this food made me. Never again.

My search for a shredded wet burrito fails me at Taco E Mas. They DO have shredded beef, but once again, being allergic to Green Bell Pepper, I couldn’t have it because it’s cooked with Green Pepper. Ordered the Ground Beef with White Gravy Burrito. The Ground Beef could use some seasoning and I’m not quite sure what«White Gravy» is, but it wasn’t bad. Chips & Salsa with all dinners as well as rice & beans — not bad but not anything to brag about. All in all — typical — but better than Taco Bell.

It was ok. I had the hot burro burrito with chicken and it was good. My husband however got the chimichanga which was burnt, we requested no sour cream and it had sour cream, it was supposed to have a red sauce and it didn’t. We got my son a kids burrito with cinna stix and it didn’t have an option for beans or chicken or anything and it was beans which was ok thank god he likes beans. The cinnastix were basically fried tortillas with cinnamon and sugar which was ok but not anything to scream about. All in all it was pretty dismal. I think if you want good Mexican in Lansing you are out of luck.

It’s okay. Order a giant burrito covered in spicy cheese, get all the chips and salsa you want, and free refills. What’s not to love? The food is mostly okay, and the shredded beef is above average. That cheese sauce does taste a whole lot like Velveeta if I’m honest, and that gives you a good idea what you’re looking at here. Inexpensive, filling, and get something with shredded(but without cheese sauce) beef if you want flavor.

Best shredded beef tacos on the planet! I’ve never had anything else that wasn’t remotely terrific here. LOVE this place. I always leave happy, full and it doesn’t cost a lot of money. What’s not to like? Service is good, I wish they had larger dishes of salsa with their chips, but then I’d eat more. So it’s best they not do that.

While visiting the area, a colleague and I were told about this great Mexican food that was provided by this restaurant. We were truly disappointed. We were impressed with the fact that they delivered and that they worked with us in allowing us to combine our delivery charge rather than both paying separately for our food to be brought to the same location. We did tip up front which could be good or bad depending. Tipping the person for being courteous and timely in delivering is good but the food itself left a lot to be desired. The taco dinner I got came with rice and beans that I could not eat. The beans had a sharp taste to them and all mashed up. The taco itself had a nice taco wrap but there was mounds of cheese on this thing. It had chicken that was not seasoned/flavored at all. It was white shredded up meat that was sooo pale with little to no flavor. Basically from this whole meal I ate the lettuce and tomatoes and the taco wrap. The rest of the meal was thrown away. y colleague had the same impression too-sad to say. Don’t think we’ll be returning here.

We just moved into Holt from renting in Lansing for years and with a house full of boxes take out dinners have become normal for the past week and a half. Sick of pizza, I branched out to try this little mexican food place I hadn’t really heard much about. What a gem! I’m so glad we took this chance tonight. My daughter(now 3 yrs old) devoured a taco kids meal which came with a hearty taco, chips and salsa. She’s also a huge food critic when it comes to refried beans and rice and she cleared a side serving of each. My family also had the tacos, chimichanga, and tostado de frijoles. Some highlights: Neither the tortilla chips or shells were greasy, but they were most likely made in house. And the tacos were very full and not skimping on any ingredients. I thought it had a good balance of flavor and could taste every element. The mild salsa had a surprise heat that came about only after eating it a bit. Everything was very abundant and flavorful(authentic flavor, not americanized over spiced). It was a quick delivery and food was still warm and well packaged when it came. We are definitely keeping this on our list of go to places.

I’m starting to wonder if Tacos e Mas has truly gone downhill recently, or if I was blinded by hunger the first time I ate there. I still enjoy the salsa, but the only flavoring in every other dish is salt. Salt, salt, salt. There’s nothing authentic about an enchilada smothered in turkey gravy.

Really tasty authentic Mexican food. My favorite item is the chicken tacos. You get your choice of hot or mild salsa and I recommend the hot. The mild just tastes like onions. The hot is more flavorful, but does have some heat so beware. It’s a bit pricy but the do run specials so look out for that. The service has been mostly good. I think they will deliver too.

I love this place. I was born and raised in Holt but have since moved on to the Metro DC area. Anytime I am back in town this is up towards the top of my list of places to stop by. I have been known to eater here 2 – 4 times a weekend when in town. The food is great, standard taco’s and burritos with home made chips and salsa. The salsa is different day by day, hot is hot some days and mild others, let’s you know it’s home made. Prices are fair and the chicken properly seasoned and cooked and is my favorite of the meats. Highly recommend stopping by if you drive by this place often. Also the party platters are AMAZING! I bought two of them for a party not to long ago and they were just plain awesome. Huge, tons of food, and the presentation was also great.
