I do not recommend anyone shop or purchase big items from The Home Depot. My husband and I had two toilets that were purchased at home depot installed into our home and both of them broke within two weeks of being professionally installed. Instead of working with my husband and I to have a technician come over to repair the broken parts, their solution is for us to rip out the toilets bring them back to the store and trust that two new replacements that we will need to install ourselves will work without issue. This is after we waited over ½ hour at the store to talk with a manager(after realizing the individual we spoke with didn’t actually call the correct manager) and then I called the corporate headquarters where the woman compared taking out and returning toilets to returning a tee-shirt at the store. Save yourself the money, time and hassle and find a store that values their customers.

This was originally a Facebook post a couple months ago I wrote on Home Depots reviews. So. I had a dishwasher delivery scheduled 4:00 pm — 8:00 pm. At 8:30 pm I called the delivery phone number, was told I’ll get a call any minute now. 9:00 pm rolls around I call again, I was told I should get a call any minute now. 9:30 pm rolls around around we call again we are told no deliveries past 10:00pm. Do NOT rely on their delivery service. Even with my wife’s and my schedule, we can’t be available for delivery after today for a couple weeks, we already scheduled time for this and paid someone to be install it for less then than Home Depot. So now we have to pay more to have them come back again. So now we are paying more than than Home Depots original installation fee. So I paid someone for nothing, to be here for no reason. When we called again at 9:30, they didn’t care what an inconvenience it was. They didn’t care we wouldn’t be available for delivery the next day. Simply put, Home Depot doesn’t care about the customer. Next day: After calling the delivery number several times and going into the store, nobody cares. Even though we were busy, I made arrangements to be home today in the early evening. They said they could still deliver, but on the 23rd, over a week later. How anyone can think that is ok is beyond me. Missed commitments should take top priority! So my last visit to the store I got a full refund and I’ll be taking my business to Lowe’s. I’ll be telling everyone I can about this terrible experience. My folks were going to buy a dishwasher too, certainly won’t be at Home Depot after this. I will never shop there again, nor will my folks or any other of my extended family or friends.

I shop at this store often. I would not recommend flooring instillation. I purchased carpet and padding here. The padding was installed incorrectly. I have been waiting for this to be addressed for months. They have a lifetime warranty but I can tell that they are dragging their feet on this. It’s disappointing and I hope they fix this partly because we have spent so much money here.

Love the Home Depot and have shopped there for years. I was in the store shopping around for 15 minutes today. In that time period I was asked«how are you today sir?», «can I help you find anything?» by 9 different employees. As soon as I said«NO» and walked 10 feet I was stopped again and asked the same question by another employee. I believe that customer service is important but this was a little bit overboard. I am the type of person who likes to take my time and look around and if I need help I will ask for it. I don’t like being approached and bothered every 10 feet. Perhaps you can give your employees little stickers so once they have already ask a customer if they need help and they say«NO» you can stick a sticker on them and other employees will know not to keep bothering them. Also, when I am left alone and walk around looking at things I tend to buy more than I had planned too. I have shopped this store regularly since it first opened and believe me, I know what you have and where everything is located. I hurried today so that I could just get out of there. This is why I stopped shopping a lot of stores that I used to, you step in the door and you have 15 sales people jumping on you and they wont let up till you leave.

previously reviewed home depot with a 3 star rating and some thoughts about the staff. Recently just got a compliment from the store manager stating he appreciated my review and if I ever needed anything I could give him a call on his cell phone. With a management team like that I feel inclined to revisit my review and up my rating to a 5 star. Have always been very happy with home depot and all my purchases from the wavery store.
