Me and hubby went for lunch. We probably should have stuck with the lunch specials but instead got a meal that was supposed to come with chicken wings a half slab of ribs and bbq chicken breast for $ 15. What we got was about 5 inches long of what they called ribs, 3 chicken wings, and a chicken breast that had been sliced so thin that there was hardly 1⁄12th inch thickness and was about 3 inches wide and 4 inches long. This normally would ave cost no more then $ 6 at any other restaurant as they pretty much gave us a child’s sized meal. Also my husband said that the «ribs» had hardly any meat and was just covered by bbq to cover up that fact… So we will not be returning.

If I could give zero stars I would. I watched the GFS truck unload when we were walking out to the car and I don’t think think this place even cooks its own food everything was pre made. Very dirty.

This place use to be my breakfast/​omelette spot. Last time I was there it was just to dirty. Sitting at the booth there was food under your feet. The Place is usually a little grubby. But forgivable because their food is pretty decent. Good broasted chicken as well. But after that last time I couldn’t get myself to go back. I had carry out a few times. But stopped that as well. Now use Brian’s for my omelette needs. Service and prices are very good!

Where do I start? Driving up the first thing I notice is how dirty it looks in the parking lot, but it’s the first time I’ve been there so I enter. Wow, has the carpet EVER been cleaned? The menu looks good, but that’s where it ended. I ordered the protein platter. The grilled chicken was bland, greasy and over cooked. The cottage cheese was OK. On to the salad bar that was included. Very boring selections and very limited as well. The slaw was good, the chicken noodle soup was not. The soup had a really strange taste and consistency. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. Good thing I didn’t need to use the facilities. It was disgusting! On the way back to my table I witnessed one of the waitresses, in the serving area, using her fingers to eat! REALLY? No food is to be eaten there. Major violation! Needless to say, I will not be returning. My suggestion, clean it up or shut it down!

Other people’s reviews are spot on. It’s a gamble. I’ve been about 4 times and only one time was good. Service was mediocre and table lacked cleaning before we got there. Good was actually ok

Wow I was shocked by the reviews
Went there for the first time on Saturday night, we had the buffet the cold salads were good the cream of cauliflower soup was excellent most the food on the hot bar was flavorful also. I was quite surprised for looking at the outside.
The place was very busy and the buffet was busy.

This place is gross!
Our menu, condiments and table were covered in grease and other food bits. The server was slow and forgetful on our order. 2 simple breakfast orders that came out wrong & cold. Can’t get over the smell of the pace too, unbelievably dirty. Wouldn’t consider ever returning.

I’m watching for the closing announcement in the paper.
We visited and found the place to be lacking in everything that you expect in a modern diner. Things like variety in the salad bar, variety in the menu, clean dishes and silverware, but mostly good tasting food just weren’t there.
Don’t bother, stay away.
Oh, the bathrooms? I don’t think they have been cleaned since this place was a Big Boy 25 years ago.

Not sure how they’re still open. Food is bland never had anything that I thought I liked in particular. There are too many coney type restaurants in Lapeer

Well i’m writing this review from the Sonic down the street if that says anything. I walked in and was seated for 20 minutes and no one took my order so I walked out. It was 7pm so it was not really busy.
I don’t get it as there were 6 – 7 employees around but half were futzing with the salad bar and no amount of eye contact with anyone seemed to bring anyone over.
I could have tried getting up and talking to someone but at that point I had already burned through most of my lunch break with no food and no order in so I bailed.

You honestly get what you pay for, and with cheap prices, you get cheap food. Which is gross, and cold.
Service is nice though.
