Old Stove has a homey feel too it. Which is nice in homey Lapeer. It’s ran by two ladies. One is the master-mind-cook-from-scratch-Lady. And the other is the one who runs back and forth and checks you out, I think her name is Rosie. Both ladies are super duper friendly. What I came here for is the Chocolate Cake is a tea cup. How freakin cute is that? The cake– OMG. Best cake in Lapeer, hands down. Fridays is Cabbage roll day. They are really delicious. And I come from a Polish family, so I’m a Cabbage roll snob. Hot Ham and Cheese is good. They are my favorites. Mac and Cheese is to die for. They don’t have a fryer. So everything is more on the healthier side. If you’re like me, and greasy foods kill your tummy, I never ever have had a problem with this place. Ok– and I’ll admit, I have a thing for bathrooms. With IBS, my life is centered around them. Their bathroom is so cool. The walls are chalkboard. They said they figured people where gunna write in them anyway. My only gripe, is it can be hot during the summer. Awesome place. Will return. Also they have a Facebook that they post their menus too!

homeade food similar to what your grandmother makes-with this comes the need to add a little flavoring(even if just salt and pepper) but overall good quality food. You can tell it is made with love, but they coud use some more variety

Good cafeteria style food at a very fair price. The women make homemade pie and cookies and are always there. The place has a great small town feeling and its a great alternative to the same old places that are already downtown.
