This is a French restaurant in larchmont right across from the CVS. I personally love love love this restaurant! I guess I really love French food haha. They do get busy so reservations is encouraged especially for dinner. But we stopped by for lunch and it wasn’t busy at all which was great. I love coming to this restaurant for special events. It’s great for Valentine’s Day and more! I usually order the bone marrow for my appetizer which is delicious they top the bone marrow with a few bread crumbs and some seasoning! YUMMMMM! And it’s usually 3 large pieces but it goes quickly because it’s so good! The escargot is topped with parsley and butter! The escargot comes in 6 or 12 pieces. They sometimes have soup specials which they are all great! Check out their specials menu for that day you won’t regret it! For the main course this time I ordered the curry mussels that comes with French fries on the side. The mussels come in a mini pot and they are cooked in curry with tomatoes and more. I was never into mussels but after tasting this I absolutely love it! I have tried their«hanger» steak which is fantastic!!! It’s cooked to perfection and delicious! All the desserts are amazing and I recommend them! There is available street parking and you can park in the CVS lot but towards the back! I recommend this restaurant to everyone!

I walked by this place for years and never thought of eating here because French restaurants always seemed stuffy to me. What a mistake I was making! Encore has become our favorite place to eat in town. The escargot is delicious and, for those feeling adventurous the bone marrow is ridiculously good. For the main course I order the steak frite every time and I’m never disappointed!

Very good and very authentic French food. Nice dining room as well. Good specials nights during week — tartares, mussels etc. Not super-cheap(although good prix-fixe) at lunchtime, but consistently good and worth the money.

the escargots very tasty .it is cooked with butter and parsley and i would recommend having it .the trout almandine is very good. the salmon has a nice crispy skin, it is moist and the serell sauce is to die for. the mussels appetizer is great! however i would not recommend the hanger stake fritz it has more grizzle than it should. the décor is a very nice french décor. ambiance is a little too uptight SERVICEISAMAZING. the profiteroles were very tasty. profiteroles pastry, vinnila ice cream, almonds and chocolate sauce. price is very expensive. Tuesday is mussels night! If you love mussels and frites, this is the place to be and the night to be there. Old-world charm – great wine – and yummy pot of mussels with crispy frites. Can’t beat it! I’m addicted!

My family of five(including three little people) cherish Encore. We have been a «regular» since we moved to Larchmont from Brooklyn in 2006, looking for a go to restaurant that could satisfy the spoiled city taste buds while welcome a family with young children(several of those that didn’t are no longer operating in Larchmont). Over the pass ten years, Encore has served great food and offered warm service to my family that includes three growing children, Monday or Saturday night. Encore has become our family’s milestone celebration destination(winter/spring concerts at Chats/Hommocks, piano/dance recitals, birthdays, etc.) and parents sanity night out(after back to school nights, adults night out with friends or just because we could find a baby sitter). We love it that through Encore our kids have learned to love escargot and mussels while the adults could always count on having fresh and delicious tuna tartars and salad parisien!

I feel absolutely terrible writing a negative review about Encore as, for many years, it was one of my most favorite restaurants in Westchester. The food was always very good, the service was attentive and professional and I loved the warm atmosphere that transported me to a romantic night in Paris. However, during the past year and a half, I have been consistently disappointed by the food and service. I have gone five times during that time period for dinner, three times as a couple and twice with another couple. Every time, the food was just«off». Because of my long history of loving Encore, I kept suggesting another try. Last night I went, hoping everything would be like it used to be. Unfortunately, it was another was disappointing meal. It started with the bread. It was served cold with cold butter, not the crusty, fresh bread I used to love to sop up escargot butter or sauce from mussels. I shared the mussels, ordered the beef bourgonion and tasted the duck. The beef was a special but had too many pieces of fat, not much meat but lots of vegetables… the duck was ok… not special. I am sorry, David. I love the atmosphere. That hasn’t changed. But the food is no longer the same.

I made reservations for two at 830 on a Saturday night I was in the mood for French cuisine and saw this place had good reviews so I decided to give it a try. The setting of the place is really nice and it is very laid back which is always a plus. Me and my wife decided to start off with the escargot 6 pieces and the mussels in white wine. The escargot was cooked perfectly but I did not like the amount of butter that was used on it and if they had put salt and pepper for seasoning it would have been superb. The mussels in white wine sauce was amazing I highly recommend this I could not stop dipping bread into the sauce and eating from it highly addictive. The bread they brought us was fresh and tasted great. I was in the mood for fois gras but it was not on the menu unfortunately. I had the hanger steak and my wife had the half roasted duck. My steak was perfectly cooked to a medium rare it was very tender I am a steak eater and the steak just had to much fat on the inside of it which made it tough to chew. This is no fault of the restaurant it is just the cut of meat. They cooked it perfectly my wife had the duck and I had some of it and it was amazing!!! I highly recommend that. For dessert we had the ice cream filled puff pastry which was to die for. My wife also had the signature martini named after the place and that was great also. Very nice place I highly suggest going there I can get loud at times especially if your sitting next to loud people which was our case it is a small place but has a lot of class to it.

My husband and I love this place and it has become«our restaurant» for romantic birthday and anniversary dinners when we’re visiting my in-laws and have the rare occasion for a babysitter. It’s our favorite splurge of the year and we’ve been going for 3 – 4 years now. The food is always delicious– the mussels, the cheese plate, the steaks, scallops, specials– we’ve never had a dish we didn’t savor fully. Great French food that’s not too heavy. And dessert is always a must. The servers are always courteous and patient, the atmosphere cozy and intimate. The Larchmont independent movie theater is nearby, if you wish to make it a full evening outing. We usually make a reservations not hour or so ahead.

Great food. Authentic bistro in the middle of the suburbs. Onion soup is not to be missed. Kids love the moules. Monday night is crepes night– super options like chicken or duck confit or chorizo. Roast chicken is simple and very good, served with pomme frites and haricots verts. We had to return the Crème brûlée twice. The glazed top was rubbery twice. An unfortunate misstep.

Standard French bistro food. Old school, Consistent. The escargot or great(but very garlicky). The steak frites are great, nice steak and awesome fries. The entrees come with a classic stuffed tomatoe side which very good but is super garlicky. Nice wine selections, including some good by the glass options. It’s the kinda place you start with a basic martini. I like it a lot, but it’s not cheap.

We have been to Encore several times and it never disappoints! Last night was another great ENCORE performance. We had a wonderful dinner and sat outside to enjoy the beautiful evening. Great choices on the menu, polite and efficient service. We will be going back for sure!

Love this place. Paula I Think it is the closest to a bistro in Paris. trout is delicious, hanger steak is a favorite. there are two on the menu. ask the waiter or waitress which to order. frites are great. tarte tartin is good as are their other desserts. profiteroles are easy to share but so ordinary for me. Oui Oui! Found a very nice French bistro that is decorated with French poster art in a happy yellow small restaurant! The food is very nice with lunch specials and dinner menu. We started off with French onion soup and my favorite, escargot! Both were exceptional! Our main entrees were the quiche of the day of a personal Swiss and bacon quiche with a perfect crust and a Fettucine dish with peppers, basil in an Olive, garlic and white wine sauce! Very nice presentation and made perfectly! The desert was Profiteroles which was vanilla ice cream in a puff pastry topped with warm chocolate sauce and whip cream! Simple but delicious! Je vous remercie et je serai de retour !

Delicious. Consistent. Warm. Have been coming here for years and will continue. Everything about this restaurant is charming. The staff is kind, informative and helpful when I have been here with people with serious glutton allergies. It’s the type of place for any occasion. From big time birthday dinners– to casual late night weekdays when looking to get out of the house. The steak frites, roasted chicken and branzino are frequently ordered by my family but will always have a special place in my heart for their to die for profiteroles … Save room for dessert. Love everything about this place and can not be more thankful for your restaurant!

Nice deal, old world ambience, and good food! My Dos Saumon had crisp skin, some sautéed spinach, couscous and turnips. The slices of baguette when heated up is crisp outside and light inside. I asked for more. Really good! The salmon was not over cooked which was great! They don’t take reservations for less than 5.
