Hosted aN event for roughly 50 people and used the upstairs dining rooms. Service was great at the event, but communication beforehand needed some work. Several different people promised different things and they weren’t in agreement. Contract needed to have a little more detail and be more specific, especially when it comes to drinks.(even non-alcoholic drinks. Apparently guests of events still have to pay for tea with dinner, even when that was all that was available, with the exception of water.). The upstairs private dining rooms are gorgeous in their antique uniqueness, but are extremely warm. The AC definitely needs an overhaul. We had almost 50 people in there and it was about 80 degrees, even though the thermostat was set at 65! Not the fault of the staff, it just needs work and should be done ASAP. Some outdoor fans might be nice on the patio area for overflow of the rooms. On the plus side, the servers, managers, and other staff members were great the day of. They accommodated us well and were quick to assist with anything needed. Food was delicious and all of our guests enjoyed the experience. I was told event planning will be done differently now, so with that said, Siete Banderas is a lovely place in downtown Laredo to host a small event.

This restaurant knows how to make someone’s special night pure magic! I set up my parents for their 33rd year anniversary date and they were treated like royalty. I have this restaurant to thank for giving them a romantic special getaway from their daily routine. Everyone was so kind to them and my parents could not stop telling me every detail. Thank you so much for surprising them with such a fun dining experience. They loved the food, music, and atmosphere. We will definitely be back for more.

Incredible food! Lovely dinning room and the wait staff was impeccable. The venue is top tier. Wonderful escape from the harsh heat of Laredo. I would highly recommend this restaurant to even my ‘foodie’ friends. A job well done from the moment I walked in to the time I left. Bravo

Went for brunch on a busy Father’s Day. Good service, great food and gorgeous presentation. Highlights were the choriqueso, guacamole, crispy taquitos and the lasagna. Tortilla soup and chilaquiles were good but very spicy. Their breadbaskets were full of sweetbread, a nice unique touch. Oh, and the restaurant is gorgeous with the nicest outdoor bar in town.

Thought this place would be different from all the other laredo places, based on other reviews & newspaper write ups. Was there on 4⁄15 just to hear ARNOLD play… ordered mussels, 30 min later, server told us the kitchen had run out of them. Also ordered Muscow mule drinks, bar ran out of ginger beer. HOWDOES A RESTAURANT /BAR run out of stock on a FRIDAYNIGHT… POORPLANNINGONMGMTPART. Ordered Other food dishes, waited 45 min, no bread, no chips, or water on table, asked servers & hostesses, ALL walked around, lost in space, oblivious to their surroundings & customers. Chicken was raw, we all got sick later that evening and for the rest of the week. Super expensive for bad service & bad food. Only consolation was sandia drink was good, beer was cold, & Arnold’s EXCELLENTPERFORMANCE, despite him having a cold. ZERO stars for 7 banderas… NEVERAGAIN… we will follow Arnold elsewhere.

Very nice restaurant and setup. The service was average and one of our table’s steaks was undercooked. Otherwise the food was good too. Pricey, intentionally for upscale customers. But not commensurate with the overall food and service.

This is exactly what Laredo needed! Even before we’ve taken our first bite, we’ve enjoyed the experience. The food is amazing, the drinks are delicious, the service is personable, so much seating, room for all your friends and family or just the two of u.

first. our reservation was honored got a great table on valentines day! drinks were great and helped time fly by. fish tacos awesome! tenderloin was spot on! cooked precisely medium-rare with the perfect seared crust. which is rare for laredo. the humble grilled chicken cesar salad was also excelent, fresh crisp romano lettuce great parmesian cheese and the chicken breast was moist and grilled perfectly. for dessert the benigets au chocolate where so fantastic! the fine powdery sugar and great crispy benigets practically melt in your wife and i spent two and a half hours for our valentines lunch. which in comparison to other local restaurants i consider acceptable, considering the special day. i did see a few tables with grins, but we had a great time. to my knowledge this is the only place in town to use Unilocal seatme which came in handy for this special day. this was my 5th visit to siete banderas since they opened. i can see the this place getting better by the minute as far as service and quality of food go. the music and venue were also great! keep up the good work! i only see this place geating better. Salud, Salud, Salud!!!

A group of us are here for lunch recently and we left with mixed feelings. I had the ciabatta chicken sandwich and it could have been good, but the chicken was dry and bland. The only flavor the sandwich had was the avocado. The high point of the dish was the French fries, which were seasoned with parsley and Parmesan cheese. Some of the other party had salads, which were very disappointing. The salads were very small, not even up to par with most restaurants’ side salads. The ambiance was very nice and surprising for the downtown area and it does look like a nice place for drinks at night.

The positive reviews about this place have been written by people that have clearly never had good food and a positive dining experience. The House Cabernet was below satisfying, the beer was moderately cold, the Cosmo was overly sweet and nearly alcohol-less, and when we asked about the«Conquistador» the response we received was«I don’t know what’s in it, but you can try it!»… No thanks, I’ll have to pass. Our dinner consisted of the Mussel’s Ceviche, which had a rich flavor of supermarket bought, smoked and canned mussels, previously preserved peppers, and some other bs they decided to add in it to hike the price up. The«Catch of the Day Ceviche» contained such rancid fish, my dad nearly threw up, and when we returned the dish to the manager, his response was, «Our dish is perfect, it’s the spices you don’t like»… Probably not the spices chief. The other dishes we shared such as the Molcajete, Risotto Lorraine, Seafood Soup, and the Fettuccine Alfredo did share some consistency though… They were all consistently bad. With all of the fancy renovations, odd and disturbing lighting, and the seemingly massive amount of money that was invested into the restaurant, you would think they’d at least taste their food before it is served. Please don’t waste any of your time or money at this pretentious establishment.

Skip the place. Sure, a different scene for Laredo and I know Money was spent renovating the place… But the food is over priced and just not good. Ordered 1) the Mussels Ceviche and what we got was canned smoked mussels with some added peppers. 2) Alfredo Fettuccini is salty, fishy, and greasy. 3) The fish soup is Bland 4) the molcajete… Is made up very fancy but did not have a molcajete. 5) Daily catch ceviche was awful and promptly returned Overall… Disappointing. Hope they taste their food before they serve it. 4 person check including drinks before tip: 198 $. It was like a kick in the balls. Not going back.

I cannot say enough good things about Siete Banderas. The atmosphere was great and the place was packed. I had the 7 oz. Conquistador, a Prime Tenderloin cooked exactly how I like it. It was flavorful and tender. My wife had the 901, a large Prime Tenderloin topped with a cheese blend and served over a mole sauce. She loved it. Our friends had the rack of lamb and The Alamo, a tender halibut served with vegetables and a red pepper sauce. Everything was good and we had a great time.
