Checkers

Went to checkers yesterday. I think they hire only mute people. When I pulled up to the window no one spoke to me. They just handed me the food. When I say thank you he just looked at me. What a bunch of rude people. Never will be back. Should have never reopened. My chicken was full of gristle anyway.

This place is awful now. Other than Brian, the late manager, its a very unpleasant staff. As a former employee of this location back in the mid 90s, I was happy to see it was reopened, only to be let down by such poor service.

This Checkers recently re-​opened, after being closed for about 2 years. They celebrated the grand re-​opening this past Saturday with a giveaway of «Checkers for a year» vouchers for the first 100 in line.
Well, I wish I could say that my first visit was a good one, but not so. After waiting for 9 minutes at the speaker I was told «sorry for the wait» may I help you? I gave my order then another long wait at the window and a «sorry for the wait» when my food arrived. Once I got home I discovered a missing item. Oh, does that ever burn me up. Sure, I know I should have checked the bag before taking off. Later that evening I drove back to the drive thru and explained that I never got the missing item. They gave it to me without question with another «sorry». The manager asked if I would like a milk shake on him, which was nice. But, I declined.
I know that this is fast food. I also know that mistakes do happen. Yet, I also believe in first impressions too. Poor management will kill a brand. It’s probably why Checkers has had so many up and downs these past years.
So I give Checkers fries 4 stars!!! Everything else, Meh.
