Firehouse subs always hit the spot for me. My only complaint is it’s pretty cold in there… but their sandwiches and staff are always great!

We love firehouse subs much better than Publix, Subway, or Jimmy Johns. I have tried most of their subs. My favorites are the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket and the Firehouse Meatball. You can get the meatball Sweet and Spicy — gives it a great kick. My son prefers the Engineer — he loves the sautéed mushrooms. The salads and chili are also very good.

Tasty food and friendly staff. Why only 3 stars you ask? The sandwiches have shrunk in size, but the prices remain the same. Today I figured I would try their online ordering feature. I ordered at work and it said my sub would be ready at 12:10. I showed up at 12:10 and my order was still sitting on the printer. Luckily I was paying cash or they may have never noticed my order. It took another 15 minutes to get my sandwich through the lunch rush. I lost half of my lunch break. Publix it is from now on. They have never missed a time frame no matter how busy they are. The New York Steamer was tasty, but there were several parts of the corned beef that were tough and fatty. I would still eat at Firehouse, but not often or when I am restricted for time(still better than Subway!)

Newly opened in Largo, I tried the smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket sandwich and it was flippin awesome! Supposedly 10+ hours of cook time, it was delicious! I would go back just for that! Only problem is that it wasn’t big enough! I also tried a bunch of BBQ and hot sauces which were all great! Staff was very friendly!
