the date bars were delicious… the cakes, MEH, i’ve had better. they weren’t bad, nor great. the reason i wouldn’t return is the nice long piece of hair i found in my beautifully decorated mini carrot cake… that did it for me. would never go back again, even if the date bar was so good. had i eaten the carrot cake first, before the other desserts we purchased, it all would have been in the trash. the carrot cake was the last dessert we ate, sadly. who knows what other extras were in the other items. very disappointed!!!

Frida’s has sooo many things to offer from delicious foods to pastries and excellent coffee. Portobello sandwich is delicious and you can’t go wrong with any of their pastries and cookies. Try it!

From the moment you enter, you can tell that this place is loved by many. It was busy and smelled like fresh bread. I ordered the combo meal which came with half a sandwich and soup. I really enjoyed the French Onion Soup because it was full of flavor and the most wonderful bread pieces. I ordered a turkey Panini and I didn’t much care for it; however, I thoroughly enjoyed my free donut!

Blueberry donut was pretty good but def lacking on the service. Place was pretty empty and when I finally got help she was very curt and seemed dismayed that I only ordered a couple pastries uhhh… Thanks but no thanks

Great breakfast, donuts are delish. Want to go back and try their breakfast sandwiches. Coffee is yummy, price is fair. Extremely busy all the time even at 11 am on a Sunday. Crazy! Good for them though.

Any place with GF options makes me happy. The service was very southern decadence, like the food. I want to go back, this time with a bigger party.

At Frida’s in Largo, Fl. there’s a huge display of donuts, cakes, breads and other baked goodies that are picture perfect! The assortment of baked goods offered is incredible! There isn’t a donut sold anywhere else that compares to the recent donut from Frida’s that I enjoyed. The taste and consistency of the donut was divine! I highly recommend going to Frida’s!!!

Excellent soup, sandwiches, and salads. You can’t beat their baked goods(Chinese tea cookies are the heat). One of the best portobello sandwiches I’ve had. Don’t expect it to be fast, but do expect good food. Be aware: Sometimes a bus will come by from the old folks home. If you are here right after they do it won’t be a quick endeavor

Received two pastries from a coworker. A tiramisu and a cappuccino cake. Both were excellent even though they were about three days old. I loved how the tiramisu is nestled inside a cup that is made of chocolate ganache. The cappuccino cake was fluffy, but not too sweet. I would get this again on my own.

I LOVE this place. Amber that works there is such a sweet young lady and the cheesecakes are awesome. They make it fresh I actually ate lunch there and it was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place. I am a loyal customer there. Prices are not bad as well, everything there is FRESH. The building is clean and the associates are great being friendly.

Frida’s Café is an incredible European style café and bakery. When you walk in you are literally overwhelmed by the choices and different pastries, cakes, donuts, breads. Also great sandwiches and coffee. Everything is made fresh on the premises. After drooling over the desserts pastries for a few minutes, I ordered the egg and cheese crêpe which was delicious. The overall quality of their baked goods are amazing. They have a small area indoors to sit and eat as well as a nice size outdoors section. There is only counter service but they always have sufficient staff so they move people in and out in a very timely manner. Definitely worth the trip.

Never again your cakes taste old and dry they do not taste fresh at all, my husband bought the one in the display for my birthday 3÷2÷2016 they probably been sitting there for wks because the side of the velvet cake cream cheese with coconut came off it was hard and dry was not edible, and it still sitting in the fridge, never again better of going to Publix

Yay finally tried Frida’s Bakery! My first impression was that it was in a weird spot, but I really loved this place! It reminded me of Panera, but non chain of course. There were a lot of options of coffees, hot chocolate, and teas. There are also quite a bit of sandwiches. And the bakery part of it, that’s on another level. Endless desserts that I don’t know how anyone couldn’t find something they liked. They also make cakes that you can customize. At this time, they have king cakes for Mardi Gras. They have quite a bit of inside and outside seating! We ordered a tiramisu which was fabulous. We also got a Boston Cream donut for free with Unilocal Check in. Lastly we had a hot chocolate! All were divine and quite memorable. 4 stars because I’m not super fond of the location off of busy 19.

THERE’S SOMANYCAKESANDBABYCAKES! There’s really something for everyone here. From sweets to savory items and drinks of all kinds. It’s very overwhelming at first, but just take your time and look at all the pretty treats inside the case. They are all very reasonably priced as well and here I am with 5 more than needed treats on the way home to be eaten. I thought the baked goods were yummy and loved that I could small little cakes of so many different flavors from fruit tarts, chocolate, tiramisu, and so on. It’s perfect for me since I love taking a bite of each one!

You will be amazed when you walk in the door and see all the delicious pastries! I got a panini and it was absolutely amazing. Fresh baked ciabatta with bacon, Yukon gold potatoes, and some type of cheese sauce. What a great way to start the day! The staff was very friendly and informative and I will definitely be back(maybe tomorrow ;-))

After driving past many times I convinced a friend to check it out for our Saturday«breakfast club». Let’s just start with the parking. There’s a lot of it. A lot more than you see from the road. Tell all your friends to meet you there. Inside was much wider open than I initially thought it would be. Clean place and friendly staff jumping at the chance to help you find something you like. And believe me, if you can’t find something you like here, just stop eating. Forever. Breakfast offerings consist of paninis, sandwiches, doughnuts and every pastry, cookie, or cake known to man. All the important ones anyway. Sandwich choices include the traditional breakfast meats and eggs, to include an organic egg option and gluten free bead options. Put together however you’d like or try one of the creative menu items. We’d already ordered when we realized there were fresh doughnuts and fritters around the corner. Lucky for us, our sandwiches came with a small pastry on the side. After polishing off my plate I went back to the counter for take home items to include the gluten free chocolate chip cookies and a sample bag of pastries. That was yesterday morning and I’ve eaten cookies or pastries with every meal since. What I’m trying to say is.. .I think I love this place. It was getting busy as we left around 9:45am but I still didn’t see a lot of waiting happening. The service was excellent. The location is easy to get to and clean worth indoor and dog friendly outdoor seating. The food was quite good(though I’ll need to sample lunch next time I think) and the pastries were simply amazing.

This is a place you must stop in when close to this part of Largo. The cake donuts are soft and fluffy inside while being crunchy outside. My favorite is the plain cinnamon donut with their great coffee. Try the almond horns and the cinnamon buns. Lunch special-chicken salad is good too. Breads and pastry will not disappoint.

Fridas seems to have a following. Some of the folks seem to linger as they just like being there. Don’t blame them. It is a pleasant place. I was there twice this week. One day I got the chicken sandwich special. Just the sandwich was 7.99. It wasn’t large in size. The chicken was organic and it tasted very different than the normal gmo, antibiotic, growth hormone type chicken you get elsewhere. It was more like a consistency of veal. It was good, but rather small and not fancy in presentation. Photo loaded. Another day I got the cronut and beignet. I’ve had better there. The cronut didn’t seem to have ever been a croissant. The shape was square. I have had them many places where they take a regular buttery croissant, and then put it through a glaze like a glazed donut and then its served warm. This was probably cut from croissant dough but it didn’t seem so buttery, then glazed, then served room temperature. For 2.99 each, its really not much more if any more than a donut. The beignets were round. More like big donut holes. Im used to the more square or rectangle ones there. This dough seemed like donut dough. It had little if any powdered sugar dusting. I would give what I ate 3 stars but adding a star as they believe in serving healthy food(if it isn’t bakery that is), the help works hard, and the place is bright and cheerful.
Next time I go I will order a salad. Those looked really good and presented in an artsy bowl. I like that you can order as you walk in and then get it yourself. No wait staff. That probably moves the tables faster and all benefit. The tip you put in a jar if you wish. They don’t automatically add a blank line for you to fill out. The tables and chairs move. I like that as you can get more comfortable and have some flexability. I don’t like it when you walk in and if someone is reading the menu they hand you a laminated menu. I hate handling menus and if it can be avoided all the better. I never feel those are clean and think of all the germs over them and here you are ready to eat, sandwiches, donuts, and other things with your hands. Sometimes its unavoidable, but when the menu is posted up above and on menu holders one can read without having to touch, Id rather wait and not have to touch something that everyone else has been touching before eating. Yes you can go wash, but last time there one of the kitchen helpers was in the toilet forever so id rather not have to run to and wash just to see a menu faster. They have 2 bathrooms, one marked women and one either men or women. That’s a first for me. I guess though women wait longer so its fair, as long as the guy from the kitchen doesn’t come back!
