The service was really good and the place was clean. The sushi was very good for a buffett. Good selection and reasonably priced. They also had homeade apple pie to go along with the ice cream! The manager was visible and things were well organized. I will go back when in this area.

It wasn’t bad but not out of this world spectacular. Buffet price was 10.39 for an adult. It’s cheaper than other places around. I would go back again.

It only cost $ 6.99 compared to the $ 12 to $ 15 many buffets charge. They have take out at $ 4.59 a pound which is a steal. Some of items are really good and some are not that great. I eat there once a week because they are between my house and Wal-mart and like I said they are cheap. Like most Chinese buffets the desserts suck and the calories are better spent elsewhere. I love the peanut butter chicken, better than anyplace else. They have little custard torts that are great. The Chinese donuts are awesome. There are about 100 dishes so there is plenty to choose from. They have sushi but I generally do not eat sushi because it seems like the chefs always forget to cook it. The restaurant is very big and there are lots of booths and tables so it never feels crowded. The owners eyes always light up when we walk in. Which some how makes this not too fancy place feel like going home. Great for kids not recommnded for first dates.

What a good place! Both the beef and chicken here is NOT rubber! You can actually chew it. That’s my biggest pet peeves with these places but this one gets an A+ in my book. The flavors are good too. This place is clean and well kept, a little old but who cares? It’s a cheap buffet with good food. I can’t comment on the seafoods or sushi because I hate that stuff with a passion. But this place for normal food, gets all stars from me. I will be dining here again and again in the near future.

Came here after seeing the reviews on Unilocal overall not impressed the only reason I’m giving 3 is because of the décor, home town ambience, comfortability, and service which was all exceptional. I felt very comfortable walking in and service was great However the food was sub-par which is what I would expect however these Unilocal reviews had my hopes up the food I tried was all very disappointing. The sushi was ok but not what I consider«professional». The desserts were all old I could tell from the staleness of the crème puffs and red velvet cake they had sat for awhile. The tea was not fresh. For 6.99 you get what u pay for food is 2 stars comfortablilty/service/ambience is 4. Same food as hibachi defintaley if your looking for a cheaper alternative there almost identical in food options and quality is a lil lower. I like this resteraunt but might only come here 1 or 2 more times this year max. I’ll get my sushi from Public and Jewels haha(jewels sushi is phenomenal, best I’ve had)

Did the lunch buffet this afternoon. The cashier is squarely in front of you as you enter, and she immediately asked if I was alone, then led me to one of the comfortable padded seats along the wall. A waitress was right behind me and asked what I wanted to drink. Just water, thank you, which was refilled. Did not try the sushi or salad bar or dessert, as I got too stuffed with their delicious General Tso Chicken, vegetable rice and sliced potato. The egg drop soup is quite good. They also have a white-greenish pizza. Their string noodles have no taste. They have oriental artwork on the walls, including a gigantic Chinese fan fully opened. A rooster sculpture sits above the sushi bar. Several people of all ages were there, and kept coming and going while I dined, seems like the go-to place along Missouri Avenue. It’s so easy to overeat here, so don’t come too often. The place is not overly fancy, and at 6.99 it’s the typical Chinese buffet price these days. They bring your check to your table, then pay the cashier when leaving.

My work buddies and I traveled out of our way for lunch based on the reviews here and were looking for something different. The chicken was soggy, the shrimp smelled old and the unsweet tea was just not fresh at all. There were tons of choices however, which is surprising for lunch, but I’m not sure they have the regular crowd coming through to support all this food just sitting there. One of the redeeming qualities of this place was the sushi station which was pretty impressive for a lunch buffet. They had more than I expected. and by that I mean not just a bagel roll and a california roll… but actually some tempura rolls and some really good looking fish wrapped in them. Oh, also had a bug of some sort crawl across our booth-length against the wall we were sitting at.

This is a very good little Chinese buffet restaurant. As good as any other, good selection, sushi rolls are fresh made and delicious. Every dish I tried was excellent. Fast friendly service. I even liked the pizza.

I agree that this is probably the best Chinese buffet in the area. There are a lot of choices and the food is always fresh.

Even if you’re not very hungry, it makes no sense to order from the a la carte menu here, since most entrees are priced higher than the buffet, which is the primary draw. Aside from a few bizarre options, such as an American-style salad bar and an odd-tasting, underbaked pizza, the selections are typical of what one expects to find in a venue like this. Considering the reasonable price, the surprising addition is a well-stocked fresh seafood and sushi bar. There’s a wide assortment of appetizers — including stuffed mushrooms, crispy egg rolls, and fried wontons filled with cream cheese — and three different soups. In addition to the usual chicken, pork, beef, and seafood entrees(the lemon shrimp is particularly outstanding, and there’s an interesting hot crab with mayonnaise dish worth trying), there’s a roast loin of pork on a carving board. There’s fried and white rice and lo mein for those who crave carbs. A wide array of desserts include several fresh fruit selections, rice pudding, pastries, and ice cream. Service is perfunctory, and waitresses tend to bring the check long before diners are finished eating. We simply ignored it and continued to plow through the items we hadn’t yet sampled. Dinner prices are higher, without any additions to the buffet selections, a common practice that’s one of my pet peeves. Still, considering the high quality of the food, this is a bargain even at the higher cost. Definitely the best Chinese buffet in an area that has several; in fact, it’s the only one that merits a return visit.
