Mario’s Pizza

Inexpensive and delicious! Got my food quickly and the restaurant was very clean and put together, definitely a great lunch spot if youre in the area, I plan on going back for sure.

I went here with my family and had pizza and the Jerk chicken wings. The wings were spicy and had great flavor. We all enjoyed the New York style pizza! We have been on the hunt for a local pizza place we can head to often.

I have gotten pizza here several times and it has always been good (maybe not the absolute best, but I have never had a bad pizza here and I have had plenty of bad pizzas from really good places). They also have a drive through which is really nice. I have always had friendly service here when I dine in too.

We arrived at 5:28 (I know this from a text I sent a friend tellng them we were there). We presented our Groupon before ordering a beer and a glass of wine that were on happy hour. After we were already drinking our cocktails, we were told that we could either take advantage of Happy Hour price for the drinks, or the groupon for the pizza — though the fine print on the Groupon only said good toward «Food and drinks for a party of two or more.» Nonetheless, we said fine, we would pay for full price for the drinks and then ordered an extra large pizza. We were the only ones in the dining area. We waited. And waited. 15 – 20 minutes later two other tables came in. They ordered. Their food came. 10 minutes later out came a pizza to our table that was not ours. She took it off our table and gave it to the boys next to us. 20 minutes later — STILL waiting. After close to an hour, we finally said cancel our order. The help was argumentive and told us we had just gotten there. Sigh… an hour of our lives we will never get back and still hungry. Sorry, Groupon peeps. We use these coupons to seek out new venues. We are generous and not afraid to throw down money where we frequent. Mario’s has no concept of building a customer base through the Groupon offer.

Went to this place today after driving by it for a few years. I’ve read some of the reviews on here and I see some people said it was «great pizza». Of course, there are a lot of people who eat Hungry Howies and dominoes and they probably think that is good pizza also. I worked in great pizza places on and off while in college so I’m a tough person to blow away. This pizza is very average at best. the crust was ok, the sauce crap, and they use cheaper brand of mozzarella. The toppings were sloppily applied. The place was very dirty, under my table was a nightmare, and the rude Mexican gentleman that took my order was unfriendly. There are far better choices in the area — - Slyce in IRB is very good, Christinos in Clearwater, and Pajanos is good„ most of the time. It’s not that Marios is awful, if you are in a pinch, it will do. Judging by the sparse crowd it won’t be there too much longer. I will enjoy their closing, when you serve mediocre food you don’t deserve to stay open.

I came in to order a pizza and asked what was on the special since it wasn’t listed on the menu. The guy taking my order said some toppings that he thought was on it, didn’t even bother to ask anyone what was on it. Horrible customer service on this occasion. Sad because the pizza is yummy.

Really good pizza for a great price and nice service!

Pizza is great, all types and flavors. Not too sure about their wings. I had to wait for them to finish making then when I came to pick up my carry out. One would think they would have just have been finishing up on them but when I went to eat them they were b over cooked and the Buffalo tasted not the best. Order pizza stay away from the wings.

Pizza wasn’t that great. I tried the pepperoni and the special pizza, which had onions, mushrooms, peppers, sausage and pepperoni. I went at 5:30, and the pizza tasted old, like it was left over from the night before. There was nobody there. I also got a fountain drink, which was completely flat and lacked any flavor or syrup. While I was waiting about 10 or 15 minutes for them to heat up my pizza, I was looking at the soda machine and noticed there was about 6 inches of black mold in the drain on the floor. Gross…

Three strikes and your out. So I gave Mario’s quite a few more chances to redeem themselves because they made the best calzone I have ever tasted. However, the little things started to add up a molded tiramiso delivered, when I called they told me to bring it to them. The next calzone was half the size of the first. The next time I ordered pasta (plane with cheese — no sauce) for my daughter then someone called me back and said they don’t make it like that normally but they would do it this time — huh? The last time — I called at 3:30 ish and was told they didn’t deliver until 4pm — end of conversation. So I called back at 4:15 anticipating the chef’s salad and they picked up the phone — told me to hold on and then hung up after 10 minutes (yes I counted). So Mario’s — You’ve striked out!
