If you don’t mind waiting a long time for your fried chicken and if you don’t mind getting something different than what you ordered then this is the right place to spend your money! I have given this place plenty of tries and each time is a joke. The manager must be not doing his or her job and the staff is lazy and not concerned with what needs to be done. My children ordered mild chicken and got spicy. One daughter threw up in my car because it was spicy, the fries are always cold. Not worth wrestling the traffic to eat at a place that serves cold food that is made by unfriendly people.

It’s ok. Typical fried chicken. A little too greasy. I personally liked publix fried chicken much more. The cashier that took my order was very nice and sweet. Had a smile on her face and seemed to enjoy her job. She deserves a 5 star.

I ordered my food at 713 pm got it at 753 pm this place has the worst service one of their associates told me to get my money back and the manger declined. I waited over 40 minutes for FAST food? Get real worst service ever other customers agreed with me. I will forever love Popeyes but this locations blows

What a joke. I have only had their chicken a couple of times prior to this location opening because I didn’t have one near me. This location in Largo just opened up near my house maybe a couple of years ago and I swing buy there quite a bit now. Tonight we pull up to the drive thru at no later than 9:45 and asked for help in the speaker several times with no response. They close at 10pm. We sat there waiting for 5 minutes, still nothing. We decided to pull to the window. We even thought they might be getting robbed. A big black guy(so you know who you are) yells through the window at 9:50 «we are closed» We look in and in fact, him and two white girls were trying to figure out what leftovers they were taking with them. It was obvious that they liked their own cinnamon and apple pies and were dividing them up way before closing time with no regard to customer service. I will never go back. I would highly recommend the Baconator next door at Wendy’s. I have a receipt with only a time of 10:06 on it. The Wendy’s girl was very polite and the stores deserves your business way before these mismanaged idiots do. Never again and I will be spreading the word. I had just left a restaurant/bar with more than 200 locals. I know them all.

I was feeling hungry and drove by this location and decided to pull in since it has been years since I had Popeye’s. I could eat those biscuits with a house, a mouse, in the rain, on the train, I could eat them here or there or anywhere. Dang those were good. The chicken fingers were A-Ok but not great. Will def go there again.

Food was not hot at all, was barely warm. 2 of the 3 Cajun fish pieces were very small. Some of the butterfly shrimp were also small. Almost like scrap trimmings. Both shrimp and fish apparently sat awhile before being served and seemed like they were overcooked. My order looked nothing at all like what is pictured on TV or on their menu. Very disappointed !! I’ve had some really good meals at various Popeyes before but this meal wasn’t one of them. For the most part, I felt like I wasted my money. The side orders of red beans and rice was great as usual.

I have heard so much about Popeye’s from coworkers, I couldn’t wait to try it. This is a new location now close to me. I waited a few weeks after opening before visiting. I found a lot of parking available. Very clean restaurant. I was unsure of what I wanted to eat, there were plenty of choices. I couldn’t decide so I ordered 2 meals. I tried the Cajun chicken tenders and the spicy chicken tenders. I found the Cajun tenders were made fresh. They were juicy and tender. The spicy reveals a good flavor, however seem to have been sitting a bit. Both have a great taste. The spicy tenders have a nice crunchy breading with a slight hint of spice and slow burn while you continue to eat them. The sides were also pretty tasty. I tried the Cajun fries, Cajun rice, red beans and rice, and mashed potatoes. Service was very friendly and fast as expected from fast food. All in all a great visit, and I will return. Can’t wait to try something else from the menu.

I love Popeyes Chicken. The one on Ulmerton Rd in Largo is by far THEWORST! The staff is horrible. They are unprofessional, lazy. Some are just dumb and I hate to say that. But when you go place an order they fumble around with cash reg and take for ever putting an order together. The back they sit back their doing I don’t know what certainly not cooking. We have been there three times. First time staff barely got order right. Took for ever for chicken to be ready. The rice was nasty. The second time the girl was fine taking order and food took forever to be ready. Last time was a wk ago on a Friday night. We went in placed order with a werd guy who didn’t look like he should work near food. Three people were their waiting for their food told us they’ve been waiting 15 and 20 min for their food and they still didn’t have it. You can see people in back sitting still not cooking chicken. Man up front starts arguing with them to cook the food. Yeah we left not going back again. When you hire incompetent people that’s what you get. Its hard to find good employees who will work for the small pay but people who Really Need the job and what ever money they can get are ones you need to find.

My Popeye’s review(in comparison to Church’s and KFC), in Haiku form Church’s is okay KFC’s seen better days Popeye’s is the best Past my Church’s phase Corn nuggets discontinued Red beans, rice — no more Church’s is too bland And the portions get smaller Dining room dirty Alas, KFC! Whatever happened to you? You’re not my first choice Not a good value Your ‘crispy’ isn’t crispy Buffet just scares me No catchy slogans Like ‘How Do You KFC?‘ Can save this franchise When I want great food With a unique cajun ‘zing’ Popeye’s fills that void Do I want ‘spicy’? Truly a silly question That’s why I’m here, dude When it comes to ads And company spokespersons I trust that ‘Annie’ Her confident air And Louisiana ‘sass’ Simply melt my heart Turning to the food The blackened ranch dipping sauce Truly sets the mood The sides, ‘Oh the sides’ My mouth waters just typing Beads of sweat appear The mashed potatoes Heavenly cajun gravy Drawn in, I succumb The biscuits. Who cares? By then, I’m already full And craving deep sleep Please heed my advice I implore you to embrace Popeye’s in your life

Who doesn’t like fried chicken? At this spot you can get fried chicken spicy or mild! There is so much more here too. Fried shrimp, butterfly or popcorn, fried fish, chicken tenders all come with the Louisiana seasoning that makes Popeye’s so good. Whether you get the dinners(1 side item + biscuit), combos(1 side item + biscuit + drink), or family sized meals(up to 3 sides + 9 biscuits), Sandwiches, or wraps, there is something for everyone. Side items include: Cajun fries, mashed potatoes w/gravy, cole slaw, red beans and rice, green beans, and Cajun rice. They have a good variety of dipping sauces too. Bayou Buffalo, Sweet Heat, Barbeque, Blackened Ranch, Buttermilk Ranch, Cocktail, and Mardi Gras Mustard. For desserts they serve Cinnamon Apple Pie, Sweet Potato Pie, and Cheesecake. Good eat’n, Louisiana style.
