I love Glenn Lehrer jewelry! He is world renowned for his outstanding gemstone craftsmanship and it is his patented Torus cut that attracted me to purchase several pieces of his jewelry. They are truly works of art!

Rude staff and ugly jewelry! My fiancé and I were riding out bikes to Rustic Bakery. We are in the market for rings, but as we stopped out bikes and looked n the window, a woman rudely came out and said we were being rude by parking out bikes and obstructing other views! Seriously? We are your customers. Of course we left.
We didn’t see anything compelling in the window — jewelry was ordinary to ugly. Will not return. We’ll just go to Tiffany’s!

I’ve never been in this store and never will. I was moving my stroller from the sidewalk in front of the store and a saleswoman came out to tell me my stroller prevented people outside to see the jewelry in the window. Which it wasn’t. To be treated like that made it worth my time to write a review of how these people behave and does reflect upon my impressions of whether to shop there or not. I have had jewelry custom made for me and have a wonderful husband who has spoiled me with gems for the past 12 years, so I take some joy in knowing they have lost a potential customer with this employee’s treatment towards me. I honestly wouldn’t have been upset in the least had she been polite (I had FOUR kids with just me, one of which is my 9 month old). She was so rude. Last time I checked, sidewalks are open to use for things like strollers!

I’ve been here before for repairs and was never very impressed. They take a long time and are expensive. I’m local, so it’s fairly convenient to support neighborhood businesses. I brought a bracelet to be repaired and was quoted $ 55-​$ 155. OK, I get it that it might take some workmanship to repair properly. Might even be pricey. What I wasn’t expecting was the FULL $ 155 plus tax to repair something that probably took under an hour to fix. The man was surly and rude when I arrived, abruptly asking «You got an appointment?» Uh. no, just picking something up was my timid reply. Only to be completely broke for a week after paying their completely overpriced repair work. Won’t be back.

I brought in my diamond wedding and engagement rings, which had some unusual carbon deposits baked onto the platinum (a long story…). A friend of mine said that Lehrer was the place to take a ring that needed someone up for a challenge and she was right: after doing an initial cleaning, they researched the specific solvents that would remove the rest. My ring looked better than new by the time they were finished. I really appreciated the extra assistance, and the price was very fair.
As other reviewers have said, just be sure to call to check on their hours, as they change on different days.

I couldn’t disagree with the other reviews more. I brought in a bracelet that needed a guard chain replaced. They gave me a written cost of repair then charged me much more than they had originally said they would when I went to pick up my bracelet. When I showed them my paper with the charge on it, this man was incredibly rude and still charged me more. I gave him my watch that needed a new battery and they charged me more that I have ever been charged in New York or San Francisco on Sacramento Street. I do not want to give them any stars at all, oh and by the way the bracelet was not ready when they said it would be and I had to come in three times before I could pick it up at the inflated charge. I find I have to rate a star but I don’t feel they even deserve that.

We have been friends and customers of Glen & Sharon for around 20 years. They have repaired jewelry, re sized and reset rings, diamonds, and created custom pieces for gifts. Our latest was my 30^th anniversary present. We went to see Glen about creating a custom ring and I though it would be the first of many visits. Glen understood exactly what I was talking about and wanted. My husband, Glen & I came up with a design in one visit. I have to say Glen was more excited to see the finished ring than me! Their work is outstanding, they are master craftsmen, take pride in their work and are reasonable. We love to support our local businesses and Glen, Sharon & Stef couldn’t be friendlier. Highly recommend Lehrer Designs.

I have had to bring several pieces in to Lehrer Designs for repair, including one very finicky Claddagh ring. Every time I come in, I am greeted very pleasantly, and my ring always comes out beautifully intact! The goldsmiths are wonderful and I have never been anything less than impressed with the quality of work and the extraordinary care they put into it.
