Off the Grid has an amazingly curated group of food trucks in the region. All of the most interesting trucks tend to show up to their events. Even better than that, Off the Grid in Larkspur accommodates more than 7 trucks, so the diversity is amazing. The setting of the Marin Country Mart makes this a must-visit if you’re in the north bay on the weekend; there’s a lovely outdoor sitting area, there’s usually live music, and the space is family-friendly with a nice pond and climbing structure for the kids.

Off the grid features some amazing choices. My favorite truck is The Chairman. It is so delicious and I hope it is there forever.

Got here before OTG started taking orders, it had the best food trucks! It seemed that the food trucks were all asian cuisines. Chairman Bao is my favorite! The food trucks are situated in a beautiful plaza. Enjoyed the setting and the crowd. Friendly people. Will be returning here again!

waaaaaay too loud! The piped in music was unbearably loud & made for a very frenetic lunch… we couldn’t wait to get out of there! The food itself(lemon grass chicken skewers over garlic rice & deep fried chicken spring rolls) was just okay, a skimpy skewer & a little heavy on the noodles…

I want to be a skeptic. I get to be a skeptic, living in Marin for 40 years — I want to reserve the right to STILL call it Larkspur Landing. Why change it to «Marin Country Mart»? But, then, I have to say — all of the changes they have made here over the last five years have been great. Off The Grid Sundays from 11am — 3pm may be the best one of all — this is truly one of those things that makes Marin special! Where can you, on one particular Sunday, get a BLT Taco — and then maybe Vietnamese Garlic Noodles with Chicken the next? Or perhaps you want them on the same week?(Try out the Dancing Fries if you see the Vietnamese Food Truck. If you have ‘special’ friends that like to play with their food they call them ‘pole dancing fries’ — a separate story that won’t be discussed further here!) Soak in the beautiful scenery of Mt. Tam, the Ferry Terminal, live music and good company while you are there. You can grab a beer at Marin Brewing Company or a Bloody Mary at Farmshop before or after — so this particular Off The Grid venue compliments Larkspur Lan— uh, eh — Marin Country Mart itself. Ok Marin Country Mart — you have converted me!

My boyfriend and I decided to go on a day trip over the weekend and drove allll the way to Larkspur(from San Mateo) to check out Off the Grid. We were planning to go hiking in the area afterward so we were fine with the drive. It was a foggy day(surprise, surprise) but not super cold. Off the Grid was located in a plaza parking lot with yogaworks, Soul Cycle, Bed Bath & Beyond, Three Twins organic ice cream, a few restaurants, and high-end clothing stores(e.g., Intermix, Unionmade). There was definitely an upscale hipstery vibe going on. Everything is situated around a small pond with a few ducks and a turtle. It’s a nice place to walk around and window shop. There were about 6 – 7 different food trucks there, with most of them serving lunch food rather than just sweets/desserts. My boyfriend got a sandwich($ 9) from Sanguchon and I got a banh mi($ 7) with chicken from Little Green Cyclo. The sandwiches are enough to fill us up, and they didn’t skimp out on any ingredients. I loved the crispiness of the French baguette and the chicken was flavorful and juicy. Not cheap, but all things considering, a decent and reasonably-priced meal. We wrapped up our lunch with a San Francisgold crème brûlée from the Crème Brulee truck — vanilla crème brûlée with dark chocolate cookie bits and caramel sauce. Sounds crazy sweet, but it surprisingly wasn’t! And it was really good. Definitely lots of seating around, and the music they play makes for a lively atmosphere. The plaza is also very dog-friendly!

Although the number of trucks was much smaller than I had expected, we ran into a dilemma that’s called: too-much-great-food and not-enough-stomach-space! So best go in a group of at least four people and share the food or come back every Sunday: o) The food was tasty, the mood was great and there is even a tented area where you can sit down to eat. Close by restrooms and drinking fountains are a plus. Definitely a fun experience!

This is a perfect finish at the end of a bike ride in Marin! Many choices for food, but I went straight for the Vietnamese. Who doesn’t love Bánh mì!? I got the cilantro tofu sandwich– yummmmm! My friend got the Dancing Fries and thankfully shared with me. I loved the spiciness of the siracha sauce on the fries– my tongue was dancing with the flavors! I can’t wait to return to taste food from the other trucks. Oh, I forgot to mention the divine cream puffs from Pacific Puffs– tdf!

This is one of Off The Grid’s best. Great location, great surroundings, good mix of trucks, and theres usually live music. It’s Sunday so Larkspur is not too crowded. Plus its right next to Marin Brewing Company, so if you’d like a beer, its right there.

This is probably my favorite Off the Grid location. I love that location. There’s a nice view of the waterfront. There’s plenty of parking.

Soooo good and so many trucks. The lines moved fast and it seemed like alot of people came out for the event. I guess this is a weekly think. Whenever we go up to Marin on Sundays i always make Joe take me. Worth it. Especially the Chairman Truck. Yum yum yum!

I’ve always loved this little market center and it just keeps getting better! Every Sunday that I’m farting around Marin I find an excuse to drop by for some awesome food trucks. Whether its after a morning bike ride, or on my way into the city I will find some great excuse to drag everyone along with me. Its very peaceful, good selection, and sometimes decent entertainment all around the place. If you want something other than food trucks you can always hit up some of shops and cafes in the market!

There are six or so trucks every Sunday. I have passed this place multiple times and never gone in because I was always going hiking somewhere. Well, I was going hiking somewhere this time too, but on my own schedule and stopped. There is a line of trucks you can see from the road. When you get up top, it’s still that same line of trucks. I was expecting more I guess. Six trucks is a decent variety, and as an added bonus there are real bathrooms in the shopping center, but still… Also, the prices are very expensive, it’s to the point you may as well just go to a fast casual or restaurant. I ended up looking at all the trucks, deciding nothing caught my eye enough to buy at their prices, and leaving. If this is what off the grid is usually like it’s not worth it.

Well, guess my luck ran out here. I recently moved to Larkspur with my wife and have been enjoying the food trucks each week. I usually would get a Lamb Burger from Fins on the Hoof or a Vegiwich from the European and Jewish Soulfood truck. Unfortunately this last week I had the«Sloppy Jew» sandwich(no really that’s the name). and about two hours later I began feeling sick, then spent all night puking with severe bowel issues and the shakes. These lasted well past midnight and into the following morning, all while I tried to stay hydrated. While this hasn’t been the norm for me eating at these places, I’d recommend some more inspections of these food trucks. I’m giving it three stars instead of lower as of the last five visits I’ve never had an issue and this is the first time it’s ever happened.

My husband and I try to go to the one on Sundays at the larkspur landing location. Our favorite truck is Koja Kitchen!!! We always order the Kamakazie combo, which comes with a sandwich, fries, and drink. Our second favorite truck is The Chairman. These two trucks are never here at the same time, which is good because we wouldn’t be able to eat everything we wanted from them. There are always benches and chairs laid out for people to eat and live music to listen to. Plenty of parking since it’s in a shopping center parking lot. There’s always around 6 – 8 trucks that show up on Sundays. They have a Facebook page and if you sign up for their newsletter they let you know their locations and which trucks are coming. Their Facebook page has that info too. Love that they are able to offer food trucks in Marin County.

This is the first Off The Grid I have attended and I really enjoyed it. I’m actually a stranger to the area, and I only knew there was an OTG here because my boyfriend mentioned it to me. Well, I have heard of OTG before and I used my boyfriend bringing it up as an excuse to have a little food truck adventure, aha. I would first like to say that the location is nice. Very chill and a good view of the water, with being close to the ferry after all. It’s a good place to walk a dog, walk yourself, ride a bike, or eat some yummy food. There are tables and chairs scattered around for you to eat, or to watch other people eat, if you’re into that. A live band plays from 12:30 to 2:30(?) and they’re pleasant to listen to while you’re munching on whatever goodies you decided to get. In case a specific truck doesn’t allow card, there are convenient ATM machines a couple feet away. Also, if you don’t find any trucks that interests you to eat from, there is a Togo’s nearby. There are signs throughout the area that says to keep dogs at least 10 feet away from the trucks. I didn’t notice anyone really adhering to these rules, but I also didn’t notice anyone really enforcing them either. Overall, my first OTG experience was A+. I will be coming again :)

I am so thankful that I live only five minutes away from here! This is the place to come for lunch on Sunday afternoons! There are a limited amount of food trucks here but they are usually the best(i.e. Koja Kitchen, Chairman Bao, Curry Up Now, Arki Truck). I know that some trucks only come certain Sundays, so check the Off The Grid Facebook page to be sure your favorites are going to be there! This location is so much different than other OTG venues, but I love it the most. There is tons of seating under a huge outdoor tent and there is usually live entertainment. Another thing I love about this spot is that they have a free water station with cups included! I know it may sound silly, but buying bottled water can be expensive! What’s better than unique eats and a beautiful view of Mt Tam and the ocean?!
