Amazing sushi soooo fresh yummy … A little pricey but I didn’t think twice because it was amazing in flavor and in cleanliness

Had lunch here and ordered the Deluxe Sushi Combo, which came with 10 pieces of assorted sashimi. I also had an order of toro on the side. The fish was really fresh and had great flavor. Service was quick. Looking forward to going back while I’m in town for work.

We love this place, and return often. It has good atmosphere, super fresh sashimi, some good options for those not into raw fish — I love the sautéed mushroom appetizer and the unagi don. Service is attentive with good attention to detail.

I tried this cute place on a Wednesday evening. Definitely did a good job. I didn’t like that they brought out all the rolls on one plate but the flavor of the rolls were perfect and they use really fresh food quality fish. Pricing is a little higher than most sushi places but they’re quite tasty with great customer service.

Sushi Ko is located at the Larkspur shopping center next to Marin brewing company. Has lunch here with a friend on 11⁄12 along with 4 of his coworkers. Ordered their beef teriyaki/tempura combo lunch special. I was going to order off their main sushi menu but nothing I saw grabbed me. I can tell the menu is catered to the«area». The beef teriyaki was pretty good, beef was nice and tender. The tempura was ok, just a bit oily. I ended up killing the entire plate except a half eaten tempura broccoli. Overall food and service was just ok for me.

Fresh fish. Love dragon roll, futomaki and thin slices halibut with hot oil. Good deal for lunch. If you’re not a raw fish lover, there are many delicious hot foods, for example tempura, mushrooms salad, grilled scallops, etc. Pricey but never disappointed with the food.

One of our favorite places in the Larkspur/Corte Madera area to grab lunch or dinner! Our favorite rolls are the Alaskan roll(simple & tasty), the Dragon roll(full & sweet), and the Dynamite roll(fresh & spicy). We usually love«the Philadelphia roll», however we weren’t too fond of the smoked salmon. I have never ordered the edamame, but when it goes by it is a very generous portion. If you want to drink, they have a good selection of beer – Sapporo is always my favorite – and sake. The downside is parking, but that isn’t the restaurant’s fault. Larkspur Landing needs to work on better parking for all of their restaurants. Don’t try going right after work or during the lunch rush, due to traffic going to and from the East Bay as well as people getting off the ferry.

The worst service ever. Long wait time, overcharging, messed up orders. Don’t bother!!!

Been coming here for 10 years. It is our go-to sushi restaurant. Always fresh and tasty. We always sit at the bar. The chefs are great

Food here is fresh, overpriced, and nothing special. The restaurant gets rather noisy and crowded. Really tight and packed. The nice place about this place is there is a parking lot with other shops and restaurants near by.

This place is wonderful! I came here with one other couple and we sat at the bar. Tai treated us so well. He made some special rolls for us due to the fact we eat only certain things. The owner is very nice and welcoming. It’s a small and fine place! Like a family! I will come here again for sure! Yummy!

It took us more than half an hour to be seated then another half an hour to get our order. The service was terrible. They never refilled our tea and it took them too long to fetch some ginger and Wasabi that they forgot to bring with the sushi in the first place. Unless the menu says«raw» when ordering Maki rolls you’ll get some type of cooked fish. It’s more American than Japanese. Everything was drenched in sweet sause. Soy sauce at the table was almost gone and we had to finish our rolls dry. We got dragon, volcano, caterpillar and one more that i forgot the name of. Disliked all of them.

We’ve been coming to Sushi Ko for many years. Tonight we ordered our dinner to go. They forgot the tempura sauce for the shrimp and vegetable tempura. Now what is tempura without the sauce? NOT tempura! We were miles away from the restaurant and didn’t notice until we arrived home. When we telephoned about the problem, they asked us to come back. We’re on a tight schedule and couldn’t return. When my friend asked if they would comp us a meal or a portion thereof, Sushi Ko’s lady’s very rapid reply was«We don’t do that. You check bag next time.» No polite apology. No effort made to make it right. Checking the bag should not be any customer’s responsibility. So much for valued customers. One more thing since we’re here reviewing — their teriyaki steak used to be superb! So tender one could cut it with a butter knife. In the past few months though, the steak is tough, stringy and chewy. Not worth the $ 23 they charge! If anyone can recommend a better Japanese restaurant, feel free to message us.

Sushi Ko was one of the first Sushi restaurants in Marin. I used to eat here often. But over the years I’ve moved and I’ve reserved my restaurant visits in Marin to newer places. But I had to get someone to the airporter and this was convenient. The first thing I’ll say is that the mall really needs to enforce parking. It took 10 minutes to find parking at 11:00 on Wednesday because of the all the people parked(illegally) for the ferry. The place itself hasn’t changed in 20 years. It still has the look of a sushi bar circa 1985. The food isgood, few crazy modern rolls, just decent, fresh sushi. Compared to most of the other hyped up hipster havens in this mall, the place is kind of refreshing.

Great sushi. Price is fair. Service is fast and courteous. Drinks such as soda are not free refills, and the glasses they use are small. Typical use of restaurant dining space in Japanese sushi bar style, and it’s a tight space. 18 seats around the bar and 36 seats restaurant space. When we got there(party of three), waited about 10 minutes in their matching small wait area. Great eats. Go try um. The caterpillar roll and dynamite roll was ordered twice because it was that good. The Lobster roll was ordered three times. That one was«broke da mouth»! YUM!

This is an alright sushi place. I’ve been there plenty of times and I’m sure I’ll go back. I order pretty simple sushi and sake and it always meets my expectations. The woman who greets you at the door is very nice. For whatever reason it hasn’t enchanted me for a 5 star review though. I wouldn’t shy away from this place just a because it’s 3 stars but it’s not a place I get excited to go to. Check it out and see what you think!

I use to go there as a child and it was always good! Their chicken teriyaki is delicious! It’s better to go durning lunch time though because it’s half the price. I admit, it is a bit pricy. But the food is very fresh and the service is great. The environment is peaceful and it’s not very loud.

Come and wait, it’s worth it! Little slow service for rolls but delicious! The tamago is super sweet and smooth. Fresh trout, scallops, shrimp. And who can leave out a big roll of Futomaki! What’s for dessert?

I just moved to the area and wanted to find a nearby sushi restaurant and came across Sushi Ko for a date night. Usually I will go at least twice before writing anything on Unilocal but the service was so poor and food was so disappointing that I will not ever return. After we got a seat and drinks another friendly couple sat beside us a few minutes later. We ordered edamame, seaweed salad, coke, sake bottle, and our 4 rolls all at that time. After about 5 minutes the apps arrived for our neighbors, 10 mins later we got ours — whatever. The seaweed salad was very good. A few minutes after that our neighbors received their dinner… then they finished their dinner… then we asked where our food was — 30 mins after ordering now– find out — misplaced order. Okay, whatever… Asked for a refill of coke by the bus boy, and two waitresses, not once but twice… still no coke. Fifteen minutes later — Asked again but I guess the order was misplaced again. Must be leprechauns… Neighbors have now signed check and out the door. Ten to fifteen new customers have been seated and finishing dinner. Now I am frustrated and convinced them to please expedite the process. One of 4 rolls came to the table — tempura was bland, size was disappointing, fish was room temp. Ten minutes later, the others arrived. Spicy tuna was very bad — kind of like tuna plus franks hot sauce in a blender jammed two pencil widths thick of fish into a wrap(total width of a quarter). Coke refill finally arrived(which was billed for another after what we understood was bottomless — ok whatever) on the third round. We have now missed our movie time — lovely. My chief complaints with the food were a lack of fish and poor temperature. Not worth the price. The rainbow roll had fish on top but skin was still on a few pieces. No apologies by the staff at any point. After I signed the bill it was literally yanked out from under me — was really weird. Anyways, too bizarre for me and if I want Luke warm fish it will be from right out of the ocean on a fishing boat. I was bummed that I spent my date night that way and missed our movie but life goes on. Location is good so hopefully improvements can be made. Cheers!
