Wooooowwwww… I wrote a rather average review of this restaurant in April 2014, had garnered, literally 2 – 3 «compliments», and they removed the negative review. Why? What did I dislike? A) I found the food half-way decent actually, but the service was horrid. I mean, forgive me for not being in the know on just what in the name of Mike a freakin’ «dosa» is, but I’m just this plebeian hick from Los Angeles so what could I possibly know? I’m clearly not of Marin’s elite critics of haute cuisine. B) related to A’s rant — the service was quite rude. Like I was bothering their watching of Downton Abbey or something. The prices were quite reasonable, as was my hifalutin’, über-healthy burrito(ok, maybe that was mean — but then again, what is a dosa [really] besides a fancy wrap?).

Love the food here! Can’t go wrong. Salmon scrambled egg dosa with avocado is my favorite. Lots of great specials. Always have great soup. Ginger or lemonaid spritzer are refreshing. Kind and helpful staff. Take home some cinnamon sugar dosa chips for a treat later! Wish they were open on Sunday.

Portions are indeed generous! Loved the taste combination of the pear chutney with the curried cauliflower. We hit at a slightly busy time, I think. It was nice hearing the owner(?) calling folks by name. Some customer experience feedback: clearly we hadn’t been in before(«do we seat ourselves; do we sit and order or order hear; how do we get water?». What resonated at the end for us was«are you finished with this» as the plate was cleared. When we stood to leave the BUSSER thanked us for coming. That the only time someone expressed gratitude. I have to admit, I expected more.

We had lunch here the other day for the first time. it’s a cute place with indoor and outdoor seating. Service is excellent. We got the chicken/spinach/goat cheese dosa and the salmon/frisee/onions/aioli dosa. Included were an avocado dip and another yogurt type dip. The dosa is different than traditional Indian dosa. It’s thicker and spongier. All the ingredients are very fresh and healthy. We got the lemonade and ginger sprite drinks. Both were too sweet for us. If you’re looking for fresh organic food, this is your place.

I was so excited to find an organic & gluten free café in Marin that I high tailed it over to Table Café as soon as I spotted it. There a variety of delicious options — salads or dosas mainly — and I chose the wild salmon and frisée with avocado orange salsa and the pink grapefruit mint sprinter. It was all truly delicious and appeared moments after I ordered it. I will be coming back!

This place is a true hidden gem in Marin. It’s PERFECT for lunch — healthy, fresh, light — and you won’t leave feeling like a nap when you return to work or your next activity. They offer seasonal menus as well as daily specials. Their dosas are a unique twist on the lunch — the turkey and avocado is my favorite. For extra yumminess, add the goat cheese as well. If you choose to take your meal to go, simply call in and the staff will have it prepared quickly. We did have a few issues with not receiving all of our sauces with the to go order — and when we arrived the woman helping us seemed rather annoyed. With that, I’m giving this spot a 4 over a 5 — but still a great spot!

Definitely dig this place. Really healthy options, and delicious. The staff is friendly and personable and the service is quick. Love this place for lunch breaks or a quick bite when wandering the area. The restaurant is small, but warm and very bright. It gets full and loud fast, fortunately they have a few tables outside as well. A nice, casual spot to bring a friend for some small talk.

Came here for the solid reviews but we felt the food was so-so, they were not kid friendly, and they never gave us the scone we ordered which was the only thing my kid would have eaten but I forgot about it until we were off in the car. Very limited menu. If you would like an option besides a dosa, there is not one.

Suzanne sources local, seasonal, organic and gmo-FREE ingredients for the lovely selections of dosas and specials on the menu. A balanced and beautiful sensibility in anything served! Certainly nails«dosa» w California flair, freshness and ingenuity!

Delightful and delicious, fresh California ORGANIC produce in a DOSA! Whoever came up with this idea gets a gold star. Their strawberry mini scone is terrific

Although the small restaurant was dark, more colorful decorations and food sample sneeded and the cashier(the short haired lady with the white hair(cashier) was bit too loud and aggressive, the lamb dosa was just what the doctor ordered. I would go back again…

A friend who knows food like no one else I know took me here for lunch a couple of weeks ago. I didn’t know this cute area of Larkspur existed! I had a delicious salad with peaches, almonds and goat cheese. It was divine. I also had the carrot soup which was good. The best part of my meal(other than the company of my friend) was the Chai. WOW. Best Chai I’ve ever had and I have my own recipe that I make at home. While my meal was great, I can’t give 5 stars as I’m not a fan of dosas. Frankly, I’m not even sure I the point of a dosa. Some of their dosa fillings sound great but I think something is lost by wrapping it. I’ll go back for the salad and the Chai.

Perfectly satisfying mid-day meal! We had potato/spinach and egg/salmon dosai, along with a ginger carrot soup. Deliciousness! The ingredients tasted really fresh, and the side sauces picked complemented my dosa really well. I felt satiated but not bloated. and totally in love with the small wooden plate my dosa was served on. I applaud the owners for their creativity, would have never thought dosai could be so much fun. Please don’t come here expecting indian food, because this certainly isn’t. if I had to describe it, it would be an organic, healthier, Crepevine experience. I’m a big supporter of local businesses who buy locally, especially when it’s done without overcharging their customers. Thank you, TableCafe for doing it right! Can’t wait to come back and try a sweet dosa next time!

I was researching organic goat meat ranches in Marin when I came across a local ranch that mentioned their meat was served at Table Café in Larkspur. Clicking on the website for Table Café it looked pretty interesting. I checked out many of the 35 Unilocal reviews and they were consistently VERY positive… long story shorter… we ended up going there for lunch today and we’re all glad we did. The owner greeted us and answered all of our questions about the menu. The owner and all of the staff we interacted with were extremely pleasant and attentive… and the food was delicious! I had the duck dosa with caramelized onions… the duck was PERFECT… crispy yet tender and moist… the flavors were divine! My boyfriend had the smoked wild salmon with grilled frisee, onions, and aioli dosa… it was soooooo good. My 10 yr old son had what he said was«the best chicken tenders» he’s ever had(and he’s had plenty to compare to:) not to mention probably the healthiest ones he’s ever had… he even loved the coleslaw. We all took turns sharing bites with each other agreeing that everything was scrumptious. We also shared a lentil, feta, cherry tomato salad that I will be trying to recreate at home to enjoy more often! The meal was topped off with some mint ice cream with chocolate chunks… pure bliss! We will defiantly indulge our need for wholesome, local, organic food at Table Café again(and again)!

LOVE it. The duck dosa/crêpe with caramelized onions and pear chutney was insanely delicious. The duck was tender and crispy simultaneously, and arugula added a spicy bite. I smiled and Mmmed through the whole thing and didn’t really want to share it with my kid. They have one of my favorite wines, Navarro, by the glass. Exquisite bouquets of organic flowers for five dollars. Gluten-free and healthy but also scrumptious. Canyon Ranch Café? Bland super-expensive crap. Café Gratitude? Annoying and overrated. There are dozens of places that could learn from this tiny spot. PS: I find it humorous that someone would get so uptight(insulted, in fact) about authenticity with food fusion everywhere. Indian burritos and Korean tapas. This is Marin. When I see a blonde lady running the place, I’m not expecting perfectly prepared South Indian fare. Oddly enough, I had the best Chinese food I’ve ever tasted in India… Cheers~
