A cozy, welcoming studio where the staff and instructors greet you with a smile. No yoga snobs here — just good people working on touching their toes and making their joints more limber. — My son and I took the Mommy & Me yoga today, and it was so much fun! Energetic Mom’s and their cute kiddos — a must for any Mom who can make it happen!

Let me preference this with first saying I have only been doing yoga for just under a year and have only been to a few other studios in Santa Fe and Las Vegas. Downtown Desert Yoga has been an awesome place to learn! It is a very warm hearted, relaxed, clean studio with calm knowable instructors. Having been a surfer in San Francisco I have found DDY to provide me the community to practice with, much like my surfing buddies. People chill and talk before and after class with very little judgment and with an easy flow. I started with a pretty beat up body from an endo on my motorcycle and my 55 years of fun, but all of the instructors have allowed me to work at my own pace with lots of positive support and just the right amount of motivation. If you are passing through Las Cruces and you just feel the need for some yoga this is the place to come. If you live in Las Cruces and are looking for that special studio give it try.

Downtown Desert Yoga offers a friendly and comfortable place to practice yoga at your own pace. Great instruction and personalized attention. Students get a great deal of a 5-class pass for $ 25! Very nice relaxation after every class with essential oils. Doing yoga again at this place reminded me of how much I like it and made me want to practice it regularly as part of my exercising routine. I would definitely recommend this studio! Come and enjoy feeling renewed, fresh and strong!

Warm hardwood floors, variety of scented oils, fitting music choices, and smart instructors make DDY a great choice for your yoga practice whether beginner or pro. I’ve been going to DDY for over a year now and it’s a great place to practice yoga for a variety of reasons and I always look forward to my practice there as well as how I’m treated. DDY offers classes to meet all needs, abilities, and levels: beginner-friendly mellow classes all the way up to advanced intensive flows. Students are from all levels, everyone is super friendly, and the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and ideal for serenity. Classes sometimes are led by guest instructors from outside of Las Cruces, which makes for excellent opportunities to see new techniques and teaching styles. There’s even a free baby yoga class for mothers! There are two things I really like about the instructors at DDY: one, they’re great at guiding poses and explaining them; and two, they keep classes exciting by refreshing poses and flows to keep it feeling new – even after 10 classes with the same instructor, she will surprise you by describing a different sensation to concentrate on in a pose you’ve done a hundred times and suddenly it’ll feel new. Overall, it’s a great studio filled with always friendly faces, making it comfortable for you to explore yoga no matter what your level or goal.
