Évaluation du lieu : 4 Midtown East, Manhattan, NY
If this place were in Midtown Manhattan or San Francisco, I would have to rate it two or three stars. However, given that it is pretty much the only option available on Sundays, and at night, and one of the few vegetarian/vegan options available, one has to say that when in Las Cruces, there really is no better option. I found this place while driving from Phoenix to Carlsbad, and it was a Sunday, when just about every other restaurant listed on Unilocal was either closed, or out of business. The staffer, who I understand was the owner, was really nice and down-to-earth, very cool. The only complaint would be that there could be more green options, not necessarily vegan or vegetarian only, but specifically leafy vegetables. At this point, the menu is a little bit on the limited side. However, in this town it’s a really special place and highly recommended.

Good atmosphere, good vegetarian food, several options, good hours. Nice to have a café like this in the Borderland of New Mexico!

Nothing terribly new to add, so I’ll just re-iterate what the others said. This place is open really late which is nice in LC, where everything closes at nine. This place has vegan options. The ceviche tacos are really good. On the non-vegan side, the green chile mac is good as is the oreogasm. The vegetarian friendliness is a definite plus. The people who work here are nice as well. I’ve been treated equally well when I go in a suit or hipster duds.

I’m sad that I hadn’t heard of this place until after I had moved away from Las Cruces. I was in town and had the opportunity to check it out though. The girl working at the counter suggested that we try the Tomato dill sandwich and the green chile mac and cheese. Along with the to suggestions, we also ordered the heart attack wraps which are puff pastries with cheddar cheese, bacon, and apple butter as well as the Oreo-gasm-an orero baked inside a chocolate chip cookie. The dill sandwich was absolutely the best of the four, it was light, healthy, and surprisingly flavorful. The green chile mac was the type of home cooked food that is unbeatable, but it could absolutely have used just a bit more green chile. The cookie was good. but for $ 2 it was a bit more pricey than I can justify more than once. The heart attack wraps were also delicious, just a bit more heavy than I was looking for in comparison to the light and refreshing tomato dill sandwich. Overall though, the food was all delicious. My one complaint is that there was no music playing and everyone seemed to be whispering in attempts to keep their conversations private. On the plus side though, they do have wifi as well as some board games that you can play. I wish I knew it was around when I was in college because I would have loved to spend an evening or two munching on some tasty food and doing some homework.

On a strange whim I swung into LC from Seattle to visit my sister. Running into my friend Bob we were to meet at the Bennigans(now Dublin’s) because it’s the closest thing to an Irish Embassy this town has. An awkward exchange with a bouncer turned me off to that place and instead we went else where. Choices: International Delights(been there, good but done) and Lunchbox. Went for the unknown and don’t regret it. People that helped us were awesome, I ordered coffee and when she discovered I was from Seattle she said she was nervous. I explained I wasn’t a coffee snob and love Diner Drip coffee a discussion of what diners I like ensued. She asked me about Beth’s(A given in Seattle) which I like but I prefer the Hurricane and a few other places. I had Green Chile mac and cheese with Bacon and it was awesome. Great stuff, if they have it chow down. I want to try to make it but I doubt it’ll be the same. Things seldom are. Also had a oreo-gasm. Get it. An oreo baked within a cookie… amazing, get one if you go. In a lot of ways I wished this place was around when I lived there as I would have spent more time there than at the Denny’s. Far more suited to my late night tastes.

This is a great place to check out. I tried ten different restaurants while in Las Cruces for a week, and this one was my favorite by far. It’s a simple little dive with a small and rotating menu, with some dedication to quality and taste. The Oreo baked in a chocolate chip cookie was amazing. The curried lentil soup was also great, I was surprised how good it was. The tomato sandwich was mind blowing because I can’t figure out how there was so much taste in a simple tomato, dill, and bread combination. If this place was located where I live I would visit often.

This place is in my neighborhood(actually, exactly in the middle of the walk from the closest bar to my house. Convenience!). It’s reasonable, open late, and the food is pretty charming. Green chile mac and cheese is the way to go. Good coffee, free wifi. If I wasn’t such a grouchy old hermit, I would probably stop in more. Unfortunately places like this that try and do fun things for the youngsters in Las Cruces tend to go of business with a sickening regularity. I hope this place doesn’t follow suit.

Found this place at midnight while driving from San Antonio to Portland, OR. They have vegan, vegetarian, and meat eaters options, are open until 3am, and have a super friendly and accommodating staff. The green chili mac and cheese is a must have!

SB’s is my new favorite spot in Las Cruces. We went in last night for dinner. What a cool little place! They had two awesome bands playing. One was an upright bass and ukulele duo from Philadelphia, and the other a rock band from Southern California! The bands where awesome! The food was incredible! I ordered the heart attack wraps(bacon and cheddar cheese wrapped in croissant dough topped with more cheese and apple butter). So good! I also got a side of green chile mac & cheese, which was also super good. For desert… The«oreogasm» a home made chocolate chip cookie baked to order with an oreo in the center! I will definitely be coming back here!

Believe the hype– any place that knows the value of putting nutritional yeast on popcorn is awesome. The tomato and dill sandwich was amazingly flavorful for how simple it is.

I forgot to mention that SB stands for«Sketchy Broad’s». Almost willing to kick in that half a star for that alone. We’ll just wait and see…
