the only thing i really like about this place is looking at the wall of cereal. They have free Internet but not really a comfy place to do your work. the music they place is an interesting array of tupac mixed with journey, just my kind of style, and peppered in is old school jams like BBD and Paula Abdul(sans sleeping pills). The food is good, and the have some great vegi alternatives, but it can be expensive, i mean a 6 dollar sandwich isn’t bad, but when you add in the drink it seems like an expensive meal when you’re just wanting lunch. even my breakfast muffin was 2 bucks — eh its good to spend some time and money, but sometimes cozy-feeling of a coffee shop is what you’re looking for that the planet just doesn’t deliver. They have tons of other stuff(i didn’t bother looking at) and half the store is more than just coffee and food its also stuff you can add to your coffee and food, like Flax Seed and protein powders. The idea of oxygen bar is ridiculous to me, and also a Tanning salon — common this is a DESERT! lie outside for 10 minutes, then(here is the tricky part) — turn over. both strategies are equally carcinogenic. and guess what you get the oxygen for free.

Wow! I was pretty impressed with this place. Not at all what you would expect from the outside. Conveniently located near a yoga studio. The Planet serves sandwiches, salads, juices, Italian sodas, and other great healthy choices. Love the staff. laid back yet hardworking at the same time… if that makes any sense… They also have free WiFi, an oxygen bar, tanning booths, lots of fun gifts, incense, artwork from local artists, vitamins & supplements, jewelry, handbags, tshirts, comfy sofas for lounging, etc. Cool find: They are distributors of Kama Sutra intimate products…“making love better”. Nice! According to their myspace page( ), they’re opening an new location at the New Mexico State University Activity Center. They also have an express location inside World Gym on Valley & Boutz.
