This is a great place to shop for ones health food needs. They have a great variety of vitamins for almost every need. The staff are always helpful when help is needed for finding something. I recommend this store.

Easily the best grocery in Cruces. Good selection of high quality fresh veggies and organic meat(even though no butcher counter) lots of specialty foods for various dietary preferences, including vegan and vegetarian fare. Definitely a welcome addition.

Happy Happy Joy Joy!!! I can’t tell you how happy I am to have this store nearby! It’s like walking into a Trader Joe’s…where everyone is Happy! Not only does it have a great selection of Vegetarian options, they have options I haven’t seen before like Field Roast Sausages & Burgers. SOGOOD! I ALWAYS have these on hand now! They taste better than any Veg option I’ve had. They have an amazing Vitamin supply and offer so many non-gelatin options! No more mail order Vitamins for me! Nuts and Trailmix galore kept in refrigerators. All types of nut milks. Just about every dry herb in bulk that you can think of. Coconut Chocolate Chip Gelato! WHAT?! YUM! Vegan ice cream options. And if they are out of something, they are only too happy to run in back and see if they have it in stock. The only downfall for me is that I expected more organic produce. :( Bring your own bags or use a box they have for you to fill. Bring Cash or use your Debit(yes, they take Credit Cards but biz’s lose money on those) and prepare to be met by lovely people who appear to love their jobs! :)

I love this store and do glad it moved into town. The reason I love it is because they only purchase and supply items that have met their strict standards. Go to there webpage to see how much care they give to selecting what they sell – like dairy products from pastured cows to humanely raised animal products to all organic produce. I also like their extensive bulk food section and the fact it is packaged(keeps people’s dirty hands off the food). The staff are all super friendly and helpful.

Natural Grocers is the best market in town, hands down! The staff there is extremely friendly and you do not have to be a member to score great deals. There is an abundance of gluten free items, vegan items, grass-fed beef, etc. Not only does the staff look happy at their job but customers that are shopping there seem excited too. The music in the store makes it a fun place to be in as well. I also noticed that they close on holidays. I think it’s great when companies allow their employees to be home with friends and family. I will continue to be a loyal NG shopper from now on!

Natural Grocers has perhaps less items than Toucan Market, but for some reason they seem to have more variety. They have an extensive selection in the Vitamin Cottage section, as well as having very very decent prices as natural food stores go. Easily the best prices in town as of this posting. The best thing about this store is that it is on the East side of town. FINALLY, we don’t have to drive to the other side of town to get fresh organic and natural foods! The downside is that they don’t have a bakery, and since they are a «chain» they do not carry any local foods. UPDATE — Dec. 2015– I’ve lowered my rating to three stars based on poor customer service. On one day I was next in line to a woman who was a regular customer. The clerk and her exchanged rude glances at me and just had a nasty attitude. Another time, I went in to exchange an item and the clerk ignored me. Then she called another customer to come over to her checkout stand and told me «next time if you would go around the counter and get in line… «I was like… there was NO line. Why should I walk around the counter, when there is no line?! I was standing there before she called the man over to her checkout. She was extremely rude. I usually went to this store once every month or so. Haven’t been back since this rude woman and see no need to go back again. Their prices have sky rocketed, their shelves aren’t that greatly stocked, and the customer service is atrocious. No thanks, I’ll just drive to the other side of town.

So any review is going to be colored by the writer, and in this case that is not a good thing for Natural Grocers. I enjoy gourmet food, but have no food allergies or ethical qualms about eating animals. What this means, in the end, is that Natural Grocers is not meant for a consumer such as myself. While they do have a number of gourmet options, most of what I saw in the aisles was meant for folks with dietary restrictions, and I left the store feeling bad for how much those folks are forced to pay for food. All in all, I did not find many items that I would purchase, and none that I would purchase on a regular basis; therefore, I cannot suggest this store. Although, I imagine if you have restrictions in what you can eat, Natural Grocers could be a lot more interesting.

On the plus side, all products in the store are organic, gmo free, don’t use high fructose corn syrup, etc. Prices are reasonable. Very different from Whole Foods — better IMO– but would like to see a coffee bar and meat counter.
