Back in the 80’s(i.e. the Golden Era), gyms like Gold’s and World’s dominated the weightlifting/bodybuilding scene. These gyms were generally small, had very little cardio, very few machines, and a lot of weights. These type of gyms are now a dying breed. This World’s is old, small, and set up with your non-BS type equipment. I’m hitting up this gym whenever I’m in town. This gym may be small, but there’s enough equipment to keep me happy. The cardio room has about 10 machines, while the main floor has all the machines and weights. There’s only a few benches, so snag them when you have the opportunity. The corner room is my favorite part of this gym. This is where all the powerlifting equipment and power racks are located. I’m sure that there’s plenty of well-equipped gyms in the area. You just won’t find me there. This gym equals my happy place. TIP #1: $ 10 Day Pass TIP #2: The dumbbells feel lighter here. TIP #3: Chalk is not allowed. TIP #4: The gym is kept clean and weights are always re-racked. TIP #5: Gym is rarely busy, even during peak hours. 2016 Unilocal Review #19

When my wife and I started looking for a new gym, we wanted different things. She wanted cardio and classes. I wanted free weights and treadmills. We both wanted a fair price and did not want to wait in line for equipment like we did at Globo Gym. We found this place by chance on the return home from a gym we wanted to check out was closed — not a good sign! These guys have everything we need, without hair cuts, tans, or the gimmicks other gyms are using to sucker people in. It’s like your neighborhood barbershop, but with free weights, machines, cardio equipment and classes. So far, we have been impressed with the variety of their equipment. Variety is good. Should keep this fun for us. Prices are about $ 25 per month, which is half to a quarter the cost of similarly equipped competitors. That’s good. Having ample equipment with no lines is great! Hopefully most folks will skip this review so we can keep this gem/gym to ourselves. One peeve — they are closed Sundays. They’ve combated that by giving us access to Primetime Fitness on Sunday. Never been there, but our temp cards have their name on it. Check em out. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I really like this gym! It’s nothing super fancy yet, but It is on its way up! They have all the essential equipment and have great classes! They have classes and equipment for all ages and all levels. No need to feel intimidated because the instructors show you how to do the workouts at different levels. They have a barber, juice/shake bar, nail salon, reasonable child care, weight room, and cardio room with TVs. Go check it out!

This is fun gym. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the big name gyms but it has what you need to get in shape. There are plenty of classes to choose from. There is a nice mix of free weights and machines. The staff is friendly and helpful.
