Food is average… like El Torrito out of the package. Good service, good drinks… kinda bland other wise… food is fast to the table and staff is nice… was hoping for more…

Let me preface that this review is based on the food and not the customer service. The customer service was very good! The food, however, was another story. One good think I have to say is that the chips and dips you get when are seated are really great! So that is a plus for them. I ordered the albondigas soup. I’ve had it at many places homemade and restaurant. Every place seems to follow a basic core recipe: vegetables, meatballs, and broth. The soup was luke warm, like it has been sitting from a previous order. The consistency was like an old marinara sauce and a lot, a lot, a lot of salt to taste. My girlfriend had a taco and enchilada combination dinner. Again way to much salt to taste even more than the usual expected amount in this dish. And you could tell by looking at the refried beans that the dish had been sitting prior for a while. All in All the food tasted pre-made or pre-cooked or something… I would say just go to the Del Taco down the block from the hotel…

Great family restaurant. Loved the chips, salsa, bean dip and guacamole served complimentary. Ground beef tacos were the bomb!

My husband, baby and I where staying at southpoint and upon checkin received 2 coupon booklets for things inside the hotel. I was worried at first thinking we would not have a family place to eat the wasn’t a buffet but we saw a coupon for a free margarita and soup with entrée purchase at miguels. We waited only a couple minutes without reservations and where seated with accommodations for our baby stroller which was great and the waiter was happy to serve us. Sometimes people are rude lately because we have a stroller or carseat and it’s an extra thing in their way but they where awesome here. We tried strawberry and raspberry frozen margaritas first and they where good. Not too strong but delicious and not too sweet. They give you a giant basket of chips with free guac, beans and salsa which is so unheard of. Ordered basic Mexican food and before our meal they brought us some awesome soup(forgot the name) but it reminded me of Mexican spagheti-o’s. Round two of margaritas went great and they where even stronger than the first! All the employees came by and mentioned how cute our baby was which makes it easier to go out when you don’t feel like a burden. Dinner was good and large portions. Slightly dissapointed with the flavor of the Chile Verde being sort or bland but I did order mild so could be my fault. Super inexpensive and cozy delicious place

Do yourself a favor and DONOTEATHERE! Food was not up to par and even a couple days old. Everything tasted like it was out of the can and the margarita was all sweet and sour. Do your self a favor and don’t go to Baja Miguel’s. We both got sick :(

OMG! Loved, Loved Loved this place. The service was a bit rough in the beginning however they ended up winning our love. They sang Happy birthday Vegas style to my friend and gave her free Flan. ALSO they have bomb happy hour. $ 4 Margaritas and $ 4 tequila shots.

If you like Mexican food or any food at all, skip this place. It’s that bad. The absolute worst I’ve ever had. I didn’t even eat it and the margarita was horrible too. It said it had muddled jalapeño but came with cut up jalapeño instead. It tasted freezer burnt. The rice was undercooked and tasted like something you get in a pouch for 79¢ at the grocery store. Taco, terrible. Beans, terrible. Guacamole looked and tasted like what is premade in the cold case at the grocery. Even just after a bite of each, my stomach hurt so bad. I’ll never go again.

Terrific Mexican eatery located inside South Point Casino. Greatly enjoyed the warm chips that were brought out to the table after we sat down. They come with salsa, bean dip, and guacamole at NO extra charge. All 3 condiments were very good and it was nice to have a variety. I chose the steak Tacos al Carbon as my entrée and it was delicious and quite filling. Steak was quite tender and perfectly seasoned. It came with sides of beans and rice. I didn’t get to try the margaritas, but the table next to us had them and they looked really good! I will definitely come back to try other dishes, and to enjoy those yummy chips and a margarita!

I ate at Baja Miquels 2 days ago and loved it. I order the filet mignon with tequila cream sauce and it was cooked perfectly. 23oz petite filets rice and beans and a delicious shrimp on top. Great price. Good service. Can’t wait to go back.

Don’t order the seafood salad if your hungry. It’s just a few shrimp and scallops on lettuce and tomato for $ 13.95. My wife said the chicken tacos were the best she’s ever had. Not the best Mexican restaurant but we live the SouthPoint. The waitress brought us the wrong check to pay.

We’ve been coming here now for over 5 years. Good food, fast service, and friendly staff. You’ll enjoy this Mexican restaurant that’s upstairs in the South Point Casino. Just outside of the restaurant you can get the happy hour menu from Baja Miguel’s. Great deals and good staff. We will continue to come back again and again.

I kept hearing about this place and we finally found a time to make our way there. the casino gave us a comp for the restaurant which was really nice. the hostess was a sweetheart and very lively as she greeted us upon our arrival. it was pretty busy but our wait wasn’t too long before we were sat. I liked the chips and dips — salsa lacked a little flavor but adding a little salt and lime helped give it a kick. I went with the shrimp diavolo, chose the soup as a side option and it was so delicious! it was nice how they gave a good chunk of avocado too instead of cutting you short with just a slice or two. we saw our busser more than we did our server but he was pretty awesome. overall good experience :)

We had a family dinner here. The service was horrible. The waiter kept letting drinks go dry and would miss when we would reorder cocktails… FAIL! The food was mediocre at best. Pretty bland. The space felt so temporary. I was just disappointed in this place all around. the only good thing was the chips and salsa came with guacamole and the bean dip was pretty tasty. Downside… a few of the group members got a little ill after eating here. The prices were a little high for what you got.

Service was great, they kept the drinks full and were very friendly. Food itself was just blah, salsa tasted like something from a bottle(Pace…) and the guac was nothing special. I know places do Spanish Rice in different ways but leave the carrots and peas out! Overall bland flavors likely made to please the masses.

My Mr. and I were absolutely ravenous and decided on Baja Miguel’s due to convenience, as it is located in the South Point hotel we stayed at for our trip to attend the 11thACR Ball. While deciding on our entrée, the server brought an awesome spread of complimentary guacamole, bean dip, salsa, and chips. We decided on the sizzling fajita platter, which is more than enough for two. It was divine! The margarita on the rocks was great too. Our server was awesome! I will definitely return if I stay at the South Point again.

My date and I enjoyed our meals very much. I had the chicken chimichaunga which was loaded with big chinks of chicken. My date had the chili rolleno and was raving about his. Very generous portions and everything was fresh especially being we came in right before they were closing(yes we were THOSE people, lol). The chips with the bean dip, guacamole, and salsa at the beginning sealed the deal for me. House margarita with Grand Marnier on top was good sized and packed a punch too. Sure, it’s more Americanized Mexican but I’m a fan and will be back.

Was at the southpoint this afternoon and thought we try something different beside steak and shake. Me and my boyfriend had he $ 7.95 lunch specials. First off you get chips, salsa, beans, and guacamole to start off with for free and the guacamole was delicious! Most Mexican restaurants always charge for guacamole so I was shocked it was free. I had the carne la plancha with beans and rice and it wasn’t that good. The meat looked and had the texture of cat food. My boyfriend had the flautas and he really enjoyed them. Next time I come back I will probably go with my gut like I should have this visit and order the fish tacos. Oh and the raspberry margarita was amazing!

Foodwise, Baja Miguel’s is on par with most Mexican restaurants that I’ve been to. I got a three item combo with a cheese enchilada, a chicken enchilada, and a shredded beef taco. All were really good, and I think they might have thrown in an extra cheese enchilada, but I didn’t ask. I really liked that the entire plate was baked with some delicious cheese on top. The service was really good. We had a coupon for a free margarita with purchase of an entrée. The margarita was tasty, though small. My husband thought it was light on the alcohol, but I didn’t mind since it was free. The big plus here is that unlike every other Mexican restaurant I’ve been to, they bring out salsa, bean dip, and guacamole with chips for FREE at the beginning of the meal, as in they don’t make you pay extra for guacamole! How rare and awesome is that!
