I would never use this company ever again and I recommend that no one else use them. If I could give below a 1, I would! I went with this company because it had such a good rating. The price was comparable to other movers. Coby was very professional at first. However, he hires day laborers to do the work. One had no idea of what he was doing. He taped all of my shelves together which when the tape was removed, it took off the finish. He rolled a sewing machine cabinet down the stairs, cracking it in two places. This cabinet was an award winning piece of furniture hand-crafted by my brother for my mother. Coby went to take apart my piano after I stated it did not come apart. He did not listen to me and tried to do it anyway which marred the finish. As I stated, it did not come apart but he wouldn’t listen to me. I had paid $ 2500 to have the piano refinished from another idiot mover but it had been moved twice since then without a single mark. It took 4 weeks to get my belongings. I believe if I wouldn’t have started calling and complaining, I wouldn’t have gotten them then. They say you have a free month of storage but that doesn’t mean it’s so they can store my stuff and not move it! I wonder if it would have gone on after the month if they would have charged me more. When Coby got to my new place, the first thing he wanted was the cashier’s check. Then he told me he wouldn’t take one item upstairs because it was heavy and he couldn’t guarantee that he would not mar the stair rails. So I told him to not take it upstairs. I asked how he wanted to handle checking off the inventory that he so meticulously wrote down when he picked everything up. He said that was up to me. Of course I couldn’t mark it all as quickly as he had everything unloaded. Again he hired locals to help unpack the truck. I have NEVER seen anyone flip furniture end for end for end to get it off the truck! This was done by Coby and not the locals. My filing cabinet is a mess because of this. Some of the drawers I cannot even open. The back is all broken. My piano has rub marks and the keyboard lid won’t open all the way. The entire front has dings in it. When I pointed this out to Coby, he yelled at me. How professional! Every piece of furniture I have has dings and gouges. Beware!!!

This has to be by far the most unprofessional company in the business. Signed the contract a month in advance for a long distance move to AZ to ensure that everything was taken care of. They asked for a deposit immediately, which I provided. Received a call from them the day before the move and was told that their truck had broken down and they could not perform the move. Sounded fishy, so I had a friend call and say that he needed a last minute move from the same city I am located in to a location about 200 miles further than I was going. She quoted him a price double of what they had signed a contract with me and said that everything is fine. I come to find out from a reputable company that I ended up using that First American will book multiple jobs for the same day in advance and then the day before, only provide service to the highest cost job. Well, it’s their bad day, because I am an attorney and will certainly file a lawsuit against them for what they did, but more importantly, if this is a pattern of breach of contract and fraud(and I will find out,) I will create a class action against them that will seek damages far beyond my claim. Stay away from this company. They may come in with the lowest estimate, but they will likely not show up.
