Frame Fixer

My grandpa has a favorite pair of glasses he can’t get rid of and has probably had them for longer then I’ve been around. Lol
One of the legs of the glasses came off along with the entire hatch the screw went through.
I went to 2 other places trying get them fixed, first LensCrafters and they said the glasses were too old and discontinued so we had to do an eye exam and get new bi focals. All costing around $ 400. I then went to SAMs club to see if their optic center could do it and they were nice enough to refer me to Frame fixer! There are 2 locations but the eastern one is closer to where I live.
Upon arriving, there were many cases filled with glasses and sunnies, I think for purchase. Britney then greeted me and I pulled out these ancient glasses, let her exam them, and right away she said, «no problem!» She let me know they would only be $ 65 for the repair and that she would replace both legs so they would match and she even offered to replace the nose pads that were turning yellow. All together I paid a whopping $ 77 dollars and now I have a happy grandpa! He can see again, just in time for Father’s Day! Lol

I have a pair of Alaine Mikli frames that I picked up on clearance at Ilori about a year ago. It was an impulse buy because I love these frames (they’re red and black). The downside of clearance items is that they’re probably out of production – that’s why they’re on clearance. As I would also find out, designer brands don’t seem to actually care about being repaired at all and it’s hard to find parts for them if you can. Great.
So, when I woke up a few weeks ago and went to put on buy glasses only to find that the left hinge just fell apart, I was pretty annoyed. Like a lot of people I’m very picky about glasses and finding new frames is a pain in the first place, but these particular frames are my favorite of all time.
I called my optometrist and her office recommended Frame Fixer and a few days later, I brought my frames in.
Upon first inspection they told me the bad news: this brand doesn’t sell standalone parts and they couldn’t be fixed perfectly. The good news, however, is that they could repair the glasses and that I’d simply lose the «spring» in the hinge. (They also told me there would be no charge if they couldn’t do it.) It was worth a try.
I got the glasses back today and the lack of spring isn’t even really something I notice when wearing them. They work well enough. I’m impressed they were able to work around such a tiny, delicate part.
The service was very good. My glasses were fixed. (It cost around $ 80, which was a fair price to me.) What else can I say? The other option was grabbing these off eBay or some other site still selling what few are left and… not really high on dropping close to $ 500 on replacement frames.

OK, think of the song «Hurts So Good» by John Cougar Mellencamp. It clocks in at just under three-​and-​a-​half minutes. Now, imagine walking into Frame Fixer on South Eastern Avenue as the song is already playing, and walking out with your newly-​repaired glasses before the song is over. Yes, mine was a simple and relatively minor repair, but Brittany still completed the task before JCM hit the final «hey, hey.» Next time my specs need fixing, I’ll be going back.

This place claims they specialize in fixing frames but they really are trying to sell you glasses They are passively agressive rude

Don’t even get me started.
I stepped on my eyeglasses on a Saturday morning and went to this location early Saturday afternoon. The screw on the stem was embedded within the stem and needed to be extracted.
I was told it could be done, but it would take 5 days and cost $ 95.00 pure highway robbery.
I was made to feel like a beggar.
For a very minor problem, they pretty much wanted to rape me. I’m sure I’m not the Lone Ranger with regards to their pricing tactics.
Needless to say I left and went home and fixed it myself.
Anybody need their glasses fixed? I work cheap.

So far, so good! I unintentionally sat on my Maui Jim sunglasses after they fell behind my head while lounging on a cruise ship in the Caribbean, and within a day both sides fell off. So, when I returned to Nevada, my optometrist referred me to Frame Fixer after it was determined that any repair was beyond that shop’s capability. And thus far Frame Fixer has come through. My only gripe is that I made a 1−½ hour round trip for nothing before having to return the next day to retrieve my repaired frames. A sign in the window said the store was closed for 4 days while the proprietor is attending a wedding. Next time I will call ahead to make sure a dropped off frame is ready for pick up, and the establishment is open.
I am now en route to Spain via the Atlantic Ocean on another cruise ship, and so far my repaired sunglasses frames (with new hinges) have held up nicely. If this proves true for the whole trip and beyond, I will likely raise this rating to five stars. Time will tell!

My old backup pair of eyeglasses have had a broken off nosepiece for a while. It didn’t matter much until I needed to wear them everyday while I wait 3 weeks for my regular eyeglasses to get replaced. I was tired of them being crooked on my face with the missing nosepiece so I found this place on Unilocal that can solder it back on the frames! Brittany helped me and was super friendly and helpful. It cost $ 45 and I got them back the next day. I would have given them 5 stars if it was about half that price to repair (my husband had his frames soldered back together for much less at another optical store in Mississippi), but I was happy to pay and they did a great job. The store looked really nice and they seem to have a lot of nice frames. I would go back next time I need new eyeglasses.

This place is truly fantastic. My glasses fell apart last night before going to bed and I was concerned because it’s the only pair I have. I called this morning. They were able to not only repair my glasses perfectly they did it in record time.
In addition to repairs they have an excellent selection of frames. I’ll be going in soon to get a new prescription and I will certainly be heading back to Frame Fixer to get my prescription filled.
I’m so glad I found this gem.

Britney is the RUDEST young lady that I have ever met in my life. If anyone is giving her a 5 star it must be her writing the reviews. How could any owner act so rude and arrogant. It is a shame that she treats customers the way she does. What a shame that Danny left he was wonderful. I was in customer service for many years and I have never ever seen anyone act like that especially since she told me she was the owner. I would tell everyone if you want to go there please don’t go when Britney is there, she has a lot of growing up to do and a lot more classes to take in CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I check Unilocal for «where to get glasses fixed in Vegas» one of the places that came up was FRAME FIXER.
Right, so I break the speed of sound to get there; well, not really it was more like navigating by sonar (I cant see remember?)
Brittany was AMAZING! Took my glasses, fixed my glasses, handed back my glasses in less than 5 min.
I guess this is the oldest, established eye glass repair business in Vegas, and trust me if you have been able to be in business since the 1950’s in Vegas you are doing something right!

They can read your RX from your glasses! Sweet! They have a HUGE selection of glasses and they can customize ANY pair of glasses you choose!
The selection of frames is like no other. Seriously, they have the lock on the good stuff. Eye glass makers that only do eyeglasses, not a clothing, purse, perfume line, just glasses. Quality items, beautiful items, custom items! I tried on a pair of frames that weigh less than a paper clip!
The store is über clean. The cases the frames were in are pristine. A place to sit on a comfy couch, and a million possibilities in the eyeglass frame world are here.
You need your glasses fixed? This is the ONLY place to go in the valley. Yeepiee, I can see!

I came across Frame Fixers when my glasses had a stripped screw. It was tightened and peened in place. A perfect fix and fit. I also received a great deal of information about glasses.
Later, after getting new prescriptions, I returned with my wife and we are happier than we have ever been with glasses. Great clarity and with the magnetic Click On filters, I am ready for bright sunshine to night driving in just a Click.
Very friendly and informative. I have been in glasses since 1973 and these are by far the best!

They were asking for more then $ 125.00 more then one of their competitors to replace my new sunglass frames.
Although there service is good, you can save a lot of $$$$ shopping around and get the same
quality.

Best service I could ask for my son broke he’s glasses today got here at 4 45 and they where fix in 10 mins the customer service here is absolutely amazing something I haven experienced in a long long time here in Vegas I highly recommend this place they do things other offices DO NOT !!! These people are the nicest and most kind business people. They have been around since 1952 and still care about their customers and provide outstanding service to their customers needs. Please when in need of new frames, experience the service you do not find anymore anywhere, let alone Las Vegas. They deserve there success. OUTSTANDING.

Brittany really knows her stuff and is straight with you on your need and prices. Be prepared to pay cash as they don’t take insurance. They are little upscale so little pricier but it seems to be better quality than some others places.

If you call them to ask about plastic frame repair, they’re gonna say whatever they can to get you in the door. (Yeah we repair plastic frames, bring them in so we can take a look) Then as soon as you walk in the door they just try to tell you they can reshape tour existing lenses and try to sell you new frames.
When I asked about the phone call the woman up front told me «Yeah you talked to me, you kept asking questions like you were going to get a different answer.» To which I replied…“I talked to a guy.” After that she said «silly me» and gave me a little slap on the hand like everything was going to be okay. I said «whatever» and walked out.
I’ve been there a couple of times and had wire frames repaired in the past. But if you know your just going to try to sell me new frames. Just tell me that over the phone so I can figure out what to do on my end. I will try not to recommend this place ever again.
