Healthcare Partners Pediatrics

Husband made an appointment for the little one. I told him to find a GOOD doctor. I got to the offices, receptionist was very friendly. Nice spacious waiting room. Proceeded to check phone while waiting, check-​in on Unilocal etc. I was surprised the ratings were only 3 so I read the reviews. Of course the 1 star reviews were for the new doc that hubby had made an appointment with. At this point I Was not looking forward to the appointment and contemplated leaving and getting a refund for my co-​pay before we got called back but decided to see how things went. I’m glad I stayed and saw Dr. Shi. She was not bad at all, didn’t get any bad impression or vibe. Straight forward appointment, she seemed to ask the right questions to make her assessment of what was wrong with my little one. Just goes to show you shouldn’t always rely on reviews alone.

Dr. Shi is the most condescending Dr. I’ve ever come in contact with, and l’ve work in the medical field for years. She was in our room for a minute if that, had no empathy for my sick kiddo. Have no idea why this woman chose pediatrics, she has no bedside manner. Her office staff was nice, no wait time (I can see why now) Only saw her today because Dr. Schnitzler at the wigwam office was booked. Won’t ever go back!

This office is fantastic! It took me 3 years to find a good pediatrician in this town. I finally found Dr. Mcghee when my second child was born. He unfortunately left last year but I chose to stay in this office and have his replacement Dr. Shi be our pediatrician. She is awesome. Takes her time with ever appointment and is very patient with my children who can both be a handful at the doctors. We always get seen very quickly. The longest we ever had to wait was 30 minutes and thats nothing compared to the hours I have waited before at other offices. The nurses and front office staff are great too! So happy we found a place that we love!

If you are looking for an experienced Pediatrician who will do more than asses your child based on basic data look elsewhere. Dr. Shi doesn’t support breast feeding. She is a big fan of pushing formula. I was disappointed in both appointments and have found a pediatrician elsewhere.

This facility certainly was a step up from Bright Future Pediatrics. I loved Dr. Veera at BFP but she left and due to contract rules, She was not allowed to tell patients that she was leaving so at the time, I didn’t even know my regular Ped wasn’t available. I gave birth at Southern Hills and Dr. Dani was the pediatrician doing rounds. I really like this Dr. He’s very professional, didn’t talk down to me about the concerns I presented to him and was informative. Invited me to come to the Durango office. It wasn’t crowded or dirty and has a nice fish tank that sort of separates the sick side from the well side. They didn’t make me wait an hour either, I especially like that. On our first visit, Dr. Dani checked out my son and all was well. I scheduled my sons circumcision but Dr. Dani would be on vacation and he disclosed this to me and let me know Dr. Shi could do it. She did a fantastic job! My sons circumcision healed faster than his belly button! On both occasions I was there, they offered me to stay in the room as long as needed so I could nurse my son. I really appreciate every staff member I’ve come in contact with this facility.

This a great childrens health clinic. No long lines, no dirty waiting rooms and angry receptionists. Its a great place to take your child for non-​emergent conditions like a sore throat, cough, asthma, circumcision, vaccines, check ups etc…
The doctors are compassionate and spend a great deal of time with each patient. Ask for Dr. McGhee he is a great pediatrician.
