Excellent show, even for a slightly smaller Sunday night crowd. Music was fantastic and the venue was nice. The 3 primary singers were all great as were the musicians on guitar and drums. Highly recommend this show if you are a 70’s-90’s Rock fan!

Each time we visit Vegas, we always try to watch a new show. Due to the 80’s theme Unilocal event we attended a few months ago, the wife was in a rare Rock-n-roll mood. This caused the wife to look for a rock show since she knew that the husband would really enjoy it(it was his birthday trip to Vegas). She found two shows on the strip and after reading numerous reviews, it was decided that this was the show to watch for this trip. And it was AWESOME!!! As a birthday gift, our couple friend purchased our tickets in the 2nd row. We were seated in a half-circle shape booth which gave a great view of the performers. It also gave us a chance to catch one of the guitar picks that one of the performers was tossing into the audience. The sound wasn’t as loud as the wife feared it might be; our eardrums didn’t burst and it was actually a good level of sound. After the show, we were given the chance to buy merchandise for the performers to autography. We bought a calendar for our friend who’s into Rock, and the cast also let us take pictures with them! It was great to personally meet and greet the performers! Overall, all four of us tremendously enjoyed the show!

Amazing show !! Awesome singing. Performance was spot on. I can’t believe I knew pretty much every song. They even played my favorites. Takes you right back. What I really want to know, is how in the heck they changed clothes so fast. Didn’t even see them leave the stage. We had front row seats! Could have touched them. I would definitely see this show again.

Fantastic!!! I was in rock and roll heaven. The voices were so perfect and the musicians were over the top talented. This show is worth the trip to Vegas. I want to see it again. Even the costumes were great. Loved every second.

Excellent, amazing, outstanding show! We were so impressed by the extreme talent and skills by this group. This show is unbelievable as the music, songs, musicians totally rock it, no pun intended. Don’t miss this show, worth your time and your money.

Three years later and this show STILL rocks! I do not know how many times I have seen it now! John Payne has left the group. Tracii Guns and Doug Aldrich from Whitesnake share lead guitar, check and see who is on when you are visiting or just be surprised like we are. I still HIGHLY recommend this show to any fan of classic rock!

As if seeing Guns N’ Roses two nights in a row wasn’t enough rock n’ roll for 48 hours, my out of town buddy and I opted to fill our time with… more rawk! How fitting to see Tracii Guns, the man who originally put the«G» in GN’R, as the featured guitarist jamming out some of the greatest hits in rock history that evening. Hey RTRV, any chance of playing LA Guns’ «I Wanna Be Your Man» one night? Collectively, these musicians have seen a million faces and rocked them all, so the band knew exactly what song to breakout at the perfect moment to get maximum reaction from the crowd. Their cover of Journey’s «Separate Ways» had people going wiiiiiiild. There may have only been 150 people in attendance, but it came off like they were playing in front of 15,000. Things I found myself doing throughout the show: — Screaming at top of my lungs — High fiving cougars — Making devil horns — Fist pumps But between all the soaring vocals and sizzling guitar solos, Howard Leese, the guitar player from Heart, continually grabbed my attention. Not just because of his long, luxurious, silver locks or the tasty licks coming from his six string… it was the Crocodile Dundee-esque knife that he kept at his side! It was a funny and intriguing distraction. My thoughts kind of went like this: «Great rendition of ‘Light My Fire’! Umm. is that a knife? What the.» «The backup dancers are hot. Umm… is it just in case he needs to skin a wild animal on stage??» «Tracii Guns is ripping it up! Maybe Tropicana gives Howard a sandwich during song breaks and he likes to cut it in half?» Even with all the 5 star reviews, and raves from friends about RTRV, I was still surprised how much I enjoyed it. Anyone who appreciates rock music will have a great time. Skip the bastardized Broadway versions of this stuff at Rio and check this out instead. I look forward to seeing this again when Doug Aldrich performs.

Awesome show! I was at first hesitant to purchase. The band members are as every review states… actual band members from well know iconic bands. My only critique would be to advertise the fact that it isn’t just a cover band and advertise the fact that these artists are actual pros! We had no clue until we bought the tickets. Again, great show. Very energetic. The whole place danced and rocked out!

I loved all parts of the show minus the singer from Quiet Riot. He ruined every song and had little enthusiasm, in fact he acted stoned. But the highlight of the show was the guitarist from white snake, the drummer, the singer from dokken and the bassist from heart; amazing performances!!!

If you are a groupie like me you’ll love this show and won’t want to sit down! These guys are legitimate rockers and I spent the next day reading their life stories which was as fascinating as their performance. But a groupie vest and have the cast autograph it after the show!

If the Tropicana has anything going for itself it is this show. It was more like a concert and the performers were absolutely fantastic. I feel like I was one of the younger people at this show but it didn’t matter because everyone was rocking out. All of the performers rocked it out and there were songs from Hendrix, Bön jovi, whitesnake, Rolling Stones, Van halen, the doors, heart, and so much more! Covers the 60’s thru 80’s and was so powerful. You will have a great time at this show. Everyone sings along and even if you don’t like the music, you will certainly enjoy an older generation rocking it out to the music of their youth. The history of rock and roll is amazing. Go to this show and here the legendary songs that made Rock music!

I’ve seen this show 48 times so that in itself should say how great this show is. So much talent on one stage, people like Paul Shortino, Robin McAuley, Doug Aldrich, Howard Leese, Mark Boals, Andrew Freeman and others. It never gets old and I would say if you go send a little extra and get the Rock Star Package. You will go to the green room before the show talk and take pics with the stars of the show, then you’ll have the best seats and after the show you get CD’S and program that you can have signed by the Rock stars.

Never Expected these guys to get this much energy back from the crowd! Musicianship couldn’t be better or tighter. These guys have played with everyone! VIP seating is worth it.

No bad pun intended but this show rocks! This isn’t just a cover/tribute show, you get some guys who have really played in these famous bands. A couple of the skits later in the show went a little long and are kinda lame so maybe they could cut those and work in a few more songs! It’s a smaller theatre so you can’t go wrong with general admission seats and there really isn’t a bad seat, first come first service though so people start lining up around 7:30 for an 8pm show. I was able to get discount tickets through Groupon and Tix4Tonight sells em too. If you like rock from the 60s, 70s, or 80s you’ll enjoy this show! It’s not a «musical» and more like an awesome rock concert with a few kinda lame skits mixed in.

Amazing show that features many rock classics from the 70s and 80s performed by some of the original musicians from groups like White Snake and Bön Jovi. There’s some similar songs from Rock of Ages, but where that is more of a play that uses the music to tell their story, this show is less schtick and more rock concert. It must be quite a change for these musicians to play in front of a couple hundred people instead of a packed stadium, but I’m grateful they’re here. It’s one of the most entertaining shows I’ve seen in town and a guaranteed great time for anyone who was or is a fan of the music genre.

I wasn’t sure if this show would be any good. I have been to Las Vegas a few times, but had never been to any shows before. This Vegas trip was a first for my husband, so I wanted to line some fun activities up for his inaugural visit. I usually scour Unilocal & Trip Advisor and read some good reviews for this show. I do love 1970’s-1990’s Rock music(as does my husband). I found«discounted» tickets online someplace, we paid about $ 86 total for our 2 tickets. There are other avenues to get discount tickets, but I wanted to get mine in advance. The musicians that performed in this show just knocked it out of the park! All of the performers actually played with some of the popular rock bands of the last quarter of the 20th century. I would say 95% of the guys were stellar, though one of the singers was a bit mediocre. You get to hear all of the rock mega hits from 1970 through 1990, so if that is your genre, this show is for you. All of the performers were energetic and appeared to be quite enthusiastic. I would very highly recommend this show, it was a TON of fun!

Watched this last night on the advice of friends familiar with my music tastes. We scored«almost» half-price tickets a couple of hours before the show. The auditorium was small enough yet was only half full for a Wednesday evening(8pm) show. I’ve attached a set-list, though they varied it a bit. Some of the songs on that set list were changed and included these instead: Pat Benatar’s «Heartbreakter», Fleetwood Mac’s «Dreams», Led Zeppelin’s «Kashmir», Survivor’s «Eye of the Tiger», Bön Jovi’s «Livin’ on a Prayer» and Def Leppard’s «Pour Some Sugar On Me.» The various singers trade off on lead vocals. The one guy I recognized used to sing with MSG. Funny and a good personality, but not the greatest voice. The two young singers rocked the house, getting everyone on their feet during their performances. The song selections were good, though not played as well as they could’ve been. R&R Hall of Famer Howard Leese is a consummate professional. A true musician who played his parts note for note. The other players did fine but botched key parts of Boston, Eagles and Zeppelin tunes. I was smiling the entire night and my wife was on her feet – especially for the Bön Jovi tune. I recommend this for those who enjoy Classic Rock of the 60’s-80’s variety.

I have to admit. I was skeptical of this show. I didn’t know who was in it or anything about it. I just thought«cover band, ugh». I’m also kind of an aspiring musician. I play guitar and I can sing like a motherFer. But let me tell you… it was awesome!!! These guys/gals are studs. They make it look easy, they sound great, and they’re great on stage. I went in thinking I was going to fall asleep. It did the opposite. It gave me a second wind for a late night. I especially enjoyed watching Doug Aldrich, the guitar player from Whitesnake. He was really good to the audience-constantly tossing picks and even let a VIP hold his guitar for a song and get a picture with him during the show. Then, near the end, his son? whom looks to be 3 or 4 years old, came out pretending to play with the band with a guitar. After the show you get to meet everyone and take pictures and get signatures on whatever you want. It didn’t take long because it’s a small audience. I bought a T-shirt and had them all sign it. I highly recommend you see this show. It’s not your typical cover band. It’s actual X band members, from some huge bands, playing the songs from their old bands, and more! These guys are practically legendary. I would go again just to cheer them on.
