I am not sure why, but we fell in love with this place many years ago when we visited Vegas. I think we were new to the All You Can Eat Sushi. The food is excellent, but the service is sub par. 1 hour time limit — I can see why this rule had to be put in place, you don’t want the party of 5 competitive eaters to stay for 6 hours. You need the space for the family of 5 who pay the insane price for their kids to eat 2 rolls. If you don’t have any distractions or you don’t want to spend a lot of time visiting with your company, then you won’t have any problems with this limit. Sushi — The quality of the Sushi is pretty good. They have a wide variety of choices. This is what makes it worth it. A key tip is to get a half order of some of the rolls, so you can try them all. Service — They don’t want you hanging out. If you have noisy kids then everyone looks at you like you are ruining their meal, unfortunately they aren’t concerned about the loud sushi bar or TV noises. They bring your food and do refill your drinks, but they seem to ignore you a bit to help sluff off the minutes on the clock. Give it a try, but I bet you pass several better places in the 8+ miles you drove to get out there.

Amazing sushi, this place is great when you go right at end of lunch pricing! Fast service and quality sushi.

Good food for the price. 1 hour time limit and slow wait help really helps them to keep their cost reasonable.

This place is not a fancy restaurant but the food is good ! If you wanna try a real japanees sushi with a high quality fish and a nice sushi master, you should go there ! The service and interior is just whatever ! Just go there eat your sushi and get out ! Pricing is cheap too ! I mean for the money that you’re paying you get a lot of food ! We usually going there for lunch specials and we spend like $ 30 for 2 people and we’re always satisfied ! I recommend this place for sushi lovers !

Good food but BADSERVICE!!! We waited about 20 minutes just to get our appetizers, after that they had lost our sushi order and had to wait a lil longer to get our second order 1 roll at the time when we were 4 people sitting on the table. I had to asked 3 times for a fork! I brought my own dessert to celebrate my friends bday and asked the waiter to bring it w a candle and she brought me the box just as how I brought it in. When we were eating it she asked me if I needed a canddle. A LILTOOLATEHELLO!!! They didn’t even discounted our drinks for the whole inconvenience.

I ABSOLUTELYLOVETHISPLACE! My mother and i stumbled upon this gem on my birthday it was the only sushi place in town that was open on the weekend, with all you can eat lunch and dinner. This has been our favorite sushi spot, FRESHFISH and wonderful friendly service. I without a doubt highly recommend this place if you love sushi you’ll love SUSHIONRAINBOW.

Sushi on Rainbow-located next to Greenland Market. They have a sign that boldly states«Since we adhere to strict Japanese standards, our food costs are higher than other establishments which follow lesser standards» which sounds promising. Unfortunately, this place is underwhelming in many aspects. How to get any service at Sushi on Rainbow: 1. Walk in and find your own seat 2. If lucky enough they will swing by to ask for a drink. Tell them your drink order immediately as they rudely slap their menu on the table 3. Order won’t be taken unless you wave your hands. Hands in the air, reach for the stars or imagine yourself being a butterfly trying to reach the heaven. You will get their attention eventually. FOOD As I said earlier, their sign posted all over the establishment is very deceiving. I have ordered Sushi 4 You and Sushi Combo for 2. Fish never taste fresh and this is a fact based on +20 visits. AYCE is $ 22.95 for lunch(with 45min limit) and $ 26.95 for dinner(with 60min limit). Way overpriced for their low quality items. On one of the visit, I decided to order Katsudon which turned out to be a total fail. First, it took over 30mins to get to the table. Perfect! Everyone in my group is done with their food while me and my starving stomach are waiting for the food ever since the dinosaurs existed. Finally my katsudon comes to the table and all I see is some crusty rice with katsu(breading falling apart) and egg… overall presented like a vomit. Not appetizing at all. Too much dashi or sauce used for this. Never again. CONCLUSION I rather pay that amount at Sakana for their superior quality and fast/attentive service.

The service was very good and the food came out fast. Unfortunately the sushi was not very good the fish was rubbery and didn’t taste fresh at all. I wish the food was better because the people were so nice to my family.

The service here was outrageous. When you walk in they don’t greet you or smile or anything. They stare at you like there’s a stick up their butt. We sat down ourselves. No one came to take our order to about 10 minutes. The place wasn’t even packed. We then had to actually ask someone to take our order. We were literally about to get up from our seats and walk out. If the service was good I would consider coming back here, waiting 10 minutes for someone to come take my order is not the ideal way I want to spend my lunch time. I won’t be coming back. I would honestly hive no stars for service, since the food was okay, they get 2 starts. The sushi was okay. Not great. I have had better.

They ignored my boyfriend and I when we got there. No hello, nothing, for about 15 minutes. Disregard menu prices because they charged us differently(more) for 3 items. The nori on my tuna roll was so dark it was almost black. I know it sometimes is dark but not to my surprise when I bit into it, that it had gone bad. The fish was not fresh as well. I took it to go so I couldn’t ask for a fresher replacement. I won’t be going back. Oh my boyfriend ordered the curry katsu and he was disappointed. It wasn’t spicy enough and they don’t offer varying heat levels like other restaurants.

Lunch specials are good. Chicken teriyaki bento for about 6 bucks. My favorite is half udon soup and eel bowl for $ 9.95. Place is small and badly needs renovating. A little hole in a wall, but an okay place to grab a quick lunch if you’re craving Japanese food. That have AYCE sushi for $ 19.95 for lunch and $ 24.95 for dinner. I tried this in the past, nothing memorable.

My friend brought me here for lunch while I was visiting LV. Very reasonably priced AYCE Sushi! Since we were there for lunch on a weekday, we were promptly seated. It was not very busy so sushi came out fast and fresh! It was very high quality. We even had the 2 sushi chefs create some stuff for us. They had a few specials that they were sold out of though. The selection and options are extensive. I hope to be back! Service was great and attentive. Sushi chefs were also really friendly.

This place is ai’ight. The owners are Japanese, so it was fun chatting with them and flexing my Nihongo skills. ごちそうさまでした! There was only one chef when we visited, so order turn over was slower than normal and some of the things we ordered when we first arrived never made it out(octopus nigiri, I believe)… but the chef was pleasant, the food that did come out was rather tasty, and while uni and amaebi were not listed on the menu they were available and excellent quality. We never felt pressured to leave or hurry, which was nice considering the lag time between some of the orders. We ended up eating a bit less than we normally would at an AYCE establishment, which was kind of nice… no sushi baby! I REALLY enjoyed their sake bomb, which featured a shot of hot sake with a raw quail egg(uzura), some soy sauce & possibly dashi, masago eggs and green onions… the floral sweetness of the sake juxtaposed with the tangy saltiness of the soy sauce and the creaminess of the quail’s yolk was fantastic. My boyfriend doesn’t normally care much for sake but even he agreed that it was quite a tasty little swig. Limited to one per customer. They offer umeshu(plum wine) flavored ice cream as well as some unique specialty rolls. While I tried the umeshu and greatly enjoyed it, we weren’t able to sample the specialty rolls. Perhaps next time.

First time coming to this place and it was awesome! I was a little put off by the super«hole in the wall» vibe. I hate to judge, but the appearance of a place is your first impression. A fresh coat of paint and some nicer lighting, and this place would look like a million bucks. My dining partner got the AYCE, and we were pretty stoked that they included a full bottle of sake(or Bud Light). All of the rolls were amazing. Especially the Mango Roll and Mingus Roll. Everything came out promptly and fresh. I did not opt for the AYCE simply because I’m small and it’s usually a waste of money for me. I started with a house salad and Dynamite appetizer(baked scallops with veggies and onions). The Dynamite was great, but I wouldn’t order it again because it was so incredibly filling as it’s almost a soup of yum yum sauce. I ordered the Salmon Roll and Yellow Tail nigiri. Their fish is incredibly fresh. I was so pleased! We finished our dinners off with red bean ice cream and mango mochi. I found the staff here to be nice and funny. It was a pretty awesome vibe. I will be coming back!

I had the all you can eat and the food was pretty decent. I mainly eat Nigiri and this place has a good selection for nigiri. The rolls are a little bit big to me though, I think they put too much rice in the rolls. However I tried the Salmon Skin Salad and I have to say u was very disappointed. Salmon skin is supposed to be more crispy but at this place, the salmon skin was soft and slimy so I you shouldn’t get it. But overall, the food here wasn’t bad, but at the same time, it wasn’t outstanding. It’s okay to come try it once, but I don’t think it’s worth going back to. Lastly, I was sad that they didn’t have mochi as part of the ayce:(

It’s an authentic sushi AYCE with pretty good quality. The sushi chef is actually from Tokyo. It’s a few more dollars that the other AYCE places but it’s worth it. Few notes: You should stick to the nigiri sushi to take advantage of the higher quality fish and seafood. There is a limit of 45 minutes for lunch and 1 hour for dinner There is no limit for their ice cream, so you can try different flavors They pay attention to details, even the oranges are impeccably cut and peeled for you. Thanks to Emy R. for pointing this place out, I agree with her review 100%. Highly recommended.

Decent option for takeout sushi– a kind Unilocaler uploaded the yellow menu in pics, allowing me to make my selections: the NY girl in Vegas and the American Dream rolls. Called in order, quick and painless. Order was ready when I went in about 15 minutes later. Initially felt that the rolls looked to be on the small side, but the takeout box is deep and each piece is pretty dense, box itself was heavy. Two rolls was a good portion for one, and price was just over $ 20. Also had a humongous portion of wasabi and ginger, and ample packets of soy sauce, though I don’t use any of that. What I did use was the tiny portion cups of eel sauce and spicy mayo– liked how that was packed separately so I could apply it myself, as many places tend to drown their rolls in far too much sauce. American Dream roll was fresh with thick slices of salmon on top and lemon, and its a combination I love. Fish was fresh, rolls were tight, portion was large. NY Girl in Vegas roll was also good, topped with noticeably smaller pieces of eel compared to the other roll. Flavor was still good and fish was of good quality. The two rolls together complemented one another– fresh and light for the first, more earthy for the second.

This place looks a little shifty on the outside but the food is pretty good. I came in around 12:00 on a Saturday afternoon and wasn’t very busy, and I sat at the sushi bar. I was the only one at the bar the entire time. The atmosphere is NOTHING fancy, so don’t expect a Geisha House or Ohjah kind of place. It is small, basic menu and they do offer AYCE. I think it was $ 22.99 for lunch which I thought was a tad high for sushi but I did it anyway becasue I wanted to try a variety. I also ordered a glass of house merlot which was just ok, a little too chilled but it’s a sushi place, no big deal. The Japanese woman waiting on me for kitchen orders was pretty nice, I suspect she is the owner? The sushi chef didn’t hardly say a word to me which is a little disappointing. He didn’t engage in one bit of conversation. I guess I’m just used to more talkative sushi chefs. He was fast but maybe a little too quiet. I tried the calamari which was actually really delicious. I don’t eat fried food very often but read other reviews about how good it was so I had to try. It was just different, cut in long rectangular pieces and not too greasy. Also tried ahi poke appetizer which was a small portion served in a bowl with some sliced cucumber. I think their portion sizses are just perfect because I was not ravenous yet I wanted to try a few things without gorging myself. also had a yellowtail roll which was awesome. see my photos. Hamachi nigiri mmmmm. My total bill with tip was $ 33 which yikes! it’s just lunch! but overall the food is good and the service was fast. I don’t think I would come here for dinner just because I didn’t like the ambiance but lunch would be ok again if I bring a friend to share some rolls.
