Most of the material was really funny but he chain smokes the whole time. The room is very small so reconsider going to the show if you’re sensitive to cigarette smoke because you WILL smell it. Overall, I liked it But I probably won’t go see him perform at that small a venue again until he quits.

You would think a guy with 9 children and 3 exwives would have plenty of material to make you laugh, but unfortunately no. The guy is clearly on a downward spiral. People had to shout out positive reinforcement comments to try and lift the guy up and help him out. He is smoking and drinking himself to dealth right in front of the audience, making his act really sloppy. He holds the mic super low so it was hard to hear him even in the tiny room where he preforms and half the time you can’t understand what he’s saying because he mumbles and slurs all of his words together. Altogether his material is just a series of insults and random sounds. His act is best described as the plagiarism of a dictators propaganda film focused on spreading hatred for anyone that is different than him. He hates most everyone, but goes out of his way to make white people feel unwelcome and says over and over how much he despises white people to the point of discomfort for the entire audience. He also spent a solid about of time making fun of gay people and explaining his disgust for their bedroom activities. I felt terrible for the two alienated lesbiens that walked out. It’s hard to understand after watching him how he has any following… As a special treat too he tells a few stories about his past drug use and how that has lead to him having 2 of his 9 children, neither of which were his 3 exwives. His show description claims relatable humor… real relatable. The guy is blessed with talent, but like so many people before him he is not taking care of himself, and has become very jaded and bitter about life and wants you to feel that way as well. Normally I leave a comedy show feeling reminded of why I am such a fan of the preformer, but I left this show feeling alienated and uncomfortable, not what I expected from what was advertised as a professional show at the Rio. Total waste of a night in Vegas. If you like watching people’s stars burning out then this is the show for you otherwise I would recommend skipping this and donating the money to a rehab in Eddies name.

My husband and I went to see the show for our Anniversary. We got VIP seating because we wanted good seats but honestly every seat in the house is a good seat. Eddie and all the entertainers were hilarious! Good adult humor which lasted 3 hours while most shows are only an hour and a half long. I recommend this show to anyone who likes comedy and a good fm time out without the kids.

Extremely funny and will have you laughing the whole time. His opening acts were ok. Richard prior has a son that does comedy. He is alright. I hope he gets better and develops his own style of comedy. Now Eddie, he was good and the best I’ve seen in awhile. He hit on all the hot topics. Cosby, Caitlyn, Theo, Kanye, Obama, Military and himself. He definitely gives you an experience and your money’s worth. If you feel like taking a ride to Rio, check him out

Cracked up from the time he came out until he left. Very funny show! All seats are good seats. His jokes may offend some, but if they do it’s because you feel guilty LOL! My husband and I talked about it after we left and we couldn’t stop laughing. He talked about many different things. Race, religion, sexual orientation, the mob, everyday experiences, the man that kept getting up to pee, etc. If you’re easily offended, don’t go! Save the seat for someone who has an open mind and is ready to laugh!!!

I would like to give negative stars but I can’t. This is the most racist, offensive show I have ever seen and I do not offend easily. Had this been a white comedian they would have to make a public apology, they would be fired and would be shunned from the comedy circuit. he not only crossed the line he stayed there and took up residence. I am never worried for my safety but was starting to feel threatened at the way he was inciting his audience, it is no wonder you have to go through a metal detector before you go to see his show. Eddie Griffin was basically saying there is no such thing as rape as all woman want«it» and get dressed and primped for men. Additionally, he felt if women were not willing to give it up after their men took them to a show then men have the right to take it by force, this rant lasted for at least 15 minutes. He also, stated that the white race needs to be extinguished and that black men should be impregnating all non-black women so there are is no more white race. Again maybe this would be funny and I don’t mind white jokes but he continued on this rant for longer than necessary(15 – 20 minutes) saying that if he was in charge all white people would be enslaved. He did not pick on any other race and the audience was cheering him on. As one of the few white people in the crowd I was starting to feel uncomfortable and concerned however I stayed figuring the show would get better. It didn’t. I never leave shows early but really felt it was necessary to avoid confrontation. He spoke to woman in the audience as if they were there specifically for his pleasure and basically was hitting on them while the audience watched for 10 minutes but the things he would say I can’t even repeat and I am not a prude. He defiled and degraded women. He compared himself to other comedians such as Richard Pryor, Eddie is no Richard Pryor. Richard Pryor was funny and knew when to stop. Eddie Griffin seemed like another angry entertainer whose career was not going the way he planned. Eddie Griffin was not the talented funny man you see in the movies he was just an angry drunk(he came out drunk and continued to drink at least 6 drinks while ranting, can’t even call it performing) he acted like a has been. After complaining about the show we were given compensation but that is an hour of my life that I will never get back.

Went to see Eddie on my birthday night. He is actually a comedy genius and connected most of his set with current events. His style of comedy is relatable and he presents in the style of story telling. I was pleasantly surprised how funny and relevant he actually was, considering that I hadn’t heard much about his comedy career in years. Eddie joked about a variety of topics including, family, kids, racial relations, interracial relationships, Bill Cosby, politics, war, and religion. I actually laughed as did most of the crowd in the King’s Room. As other reviewers have mentioned, Eddie chain smokes and drinks a consistently throughout the show. If either of these things offends you, reconsider purchasing tickets. Keep in mind that the Kings Room is small, therefore you will smell the cigarette smoke wherever you’re sitting. You cannot take pictures and they remind you of that throughout the night. On two big screens it says, «no photography, video, etc…» Prior to Eddie, there was a quick warm up given by one of his childhood friends. It was a very short set and then Eddie began. This review is on Eddie Griffin show, for my review on the King’s Room, please search the King’s Room. I have to admit that the Kings room set up is pretty hood, just an FYI.

Saw The Eddie Griffin Experience last week. We got a good deal on tickets through a local discount seller. Seating is general admission. There are 3 sections VIP1(includes meet and greet with Eddie), VIP2 and regular GA. The room is tiny, only holds 150 people so we went for the regular GA tickets. Get there early and you will get a great seat regardless of which ticket you choose. We were not early so our seats were in the back but still could see the stage fine. Security is tight. They have metal detectors and search you at the door. That was a little surprising. There were a couple comics on before Eddie to warm up the crowd. They did a good job. The first two comics did about 30 min combined and then Eddie came on for an hour. Show started at 7pm and we were out by 8:30. The show was great. He talked about race, religion, sex, drugs, pop culture, relationships and family. This show is def not for anyone easily offended. He had us laughing from start to finish. There were a few people in the crowd who got a little rowdy, yelling, trying to get Eddie’s attention nonstop. It took most of the show but security finally spoke to them. That was really distracting and took away from the show. I wish they would have shut them up sooner. We still enjoyed ourselves though. If you are a comedy fan I highly recommend this show.
