I was trying to find a reasonably priced hotel away from the strip. I pulled up and the area was clean and quiet. I checked in with no problem. At the time of check in I asked the gentleman at the counter if the rooms had irons. He stated no. not even to sign out and return. So the next option I had was to throw my dress in the dryer for $ 1.50 since I didn’t want to go buy an iron just to be here for 2 days. They did have a security guard at night. No utensils in the room. Day 2– no maid service. As I was getting ready to go out to dinner, the flapper broke on the handle for the toilet. The only way to flush the toilet was to put my hand in the tank. A little disgusted since I’m not at home. I went and spoke with the front desk and stated that I would have to wait till the next morning since maintenance was off. So I asked him, So I’m to keep sticking my hand in the toilet to flush??? I asked for extra towels. he advised me they didn’t have any on this property so he would have to get some from the neighboring property… he advised it would take about 10 minutes. 2 hours later, I finally got towels. Day 3– the maintenance man came to fix the toilet at 9am without a phone call from the office he was on his way or a time frame. Not a horrible place to stay. but you get what you pay for. If I had my choice I would rather stay at Nellis Suites around the corner. Way better service!

After painstaking consideration, I chose to give this Value Place another chance. The new General Manager had personally promised me that the blonde, «rude,»(as per«jessica a» in this forum), front desk clerk/Assistant Manager who thoroughly insulted me over my Registered Service dog on my last visit would be dealt with appropriately. Although I was quite uneasy with the prospect of running in to this woman again, this Value Place is within close proximity to my retina specialist’s office, which makes the drive with dilated eyes much easier to get home. Plus the room includes a stove-top, kitchen sink, microwave and refrigerator where I store my Insulin along with my beer. The rental week works out to around $ 30 a day which is highly advantageous for my budget. As I approached the entrance to register, I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness. The parking lot was void of trash and the windows shined. I was greeted by a very friendly male front desk clerk. While he processed me and the registration for my service dog, I asked him where the«rude» blonde woman, who had always been there, might be. «She’s no longer with us, Sir,» he said. An immediate sense of renewed comfort entered my soul. The beds are small, perhaps full size, but I’m a small guy and they fit me well. The Internet is slow. The location is okay — about 2 miles from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway — having a couple stores nearby as well as a few chain restaurants. And the fighter jets that fly in and out of Nellis AFB, though very beautiful, are so loud they shake the building as they fly over, but it’s worth the trade. I went out to eat that evening at the Cannery Casino, about 3 miles up Craig Road on the left hand side. I had chicken wings and onion rings at Victory’s Café inside — some of the best I’ve ever had! When I returned to Value Place, I quickly noticed that there was a uniformed security guard monitoring the hotel. I slept well that night. The following day I observed a much friendlier staff than during my last visit. Even the housekeepers were talkative and bopping around by means of a certain gracious poise with each step. They seemed to love my big gentle service dog and he enjoyed all the attention he received. If you are traveling to Las Vegas for an extended stay and are looking for a clean, inexpensive and«off the grid» room that includes a stove-top, microwave, refrigerator and kitchen sink, you cannot go wrong by staying at this Value Place. I do not know what happened to the«rude» blonde woman who was their front desk clerk/assistant general manager, nor is it any of my business. I can assure everyone, though; the new General Manager has done an AMAZING job, within the past 3 weeks, of cleaning this place up and turning it around. In my view, it’s gone from Hotel Hell to The Love Boat minus the ocean!

The service is not very good. The blond lady at the desk was rude and very condescending. The microwave has some kind of sauce spots in it. The curtains r so long the air from their cheap AC blows up in them when shut. The power outlets kept tripping in my room. I had to reset the power in the dark one night after the entire room when out. The towels r very small and rough. The beds r uncomfortable and on a wood base. The sheets when changed had a strong bleach smell to them. Internet conection sucked really bad. Over all not a good place to stay especially long term. I found a much bigger and better extended stay for less that did not ask for a deposit, and did not charge extra for a second person. I only gave it 1 star because I can’t leave no stars.

Absolutely worst customer service I’ve ever encountered! A group of friends booked 2 rooms in April for an event we will be attending in June and 2 weeks before the event they decide to make a new policy where all guests must be 21+ even though on their website under Policy it states all guests must show an 18+ i.d. and we talked to the front desk in April who said it was 18+ so that we could avoid this issue. They are not a part of a casino like the 21+ hotels on the strip, they are much like the extended hotels. Anyway…When we keep calling for the manager who happens to be sick this day, we ask for corporates phone number(M&M property management) which makes us only more suspicious since when we connected to the customer service line it just had us leave a message… every single time we called. Also, when we dialed the extension for the president and director operations given on the corporate website, a recording said that those extensions did not exist. hm? The way this new hotel is handling the situation is very unprofessional and already giving them a horrible reputation for poorly dealing with confused customers. Keep in mind the girl who reserved the other room has not yet received a call. We feel completely ripped off by the Value Place company. How are we supposed to find a new hotel 2 weeks before the largest event of the summer? This place needs to clean up their act, work out their policy issues and stand up to the complaining customers they are refusing to serve with such respect and comfort that they claim to provide on their website. What kind of hospitality establishment pulls a stunt like this… really?
