I’ve only used 2 laundromats in Vegas and all were near UNLV. I usually take my comforters to be washed at these places as my are too small. This place is clean and in a decent area. It’s 24 hours too although I am not sure I want to be doing laundry at 3am. There are some talkers here, they talk to themselves and when you walk by they shout some nonsensical phrases like«Obama is my cousin!». I’ll let you guess their race. So I dont know, maybe he is his cousin, who am I to judge. I replied back to him that, surprise, he was my cousin too. I don’t think he believed me, he gave me a puzzled look and was about to reply but I already walked out with my big old contractor size garbage bag of comforters. That’s why I like these places. I can cram all my stuff in a giant garbage bag and no one cares or judges. Or maybe they do but I can care less. I am here to wash my sheets and not to find a model and get under the sheets. So yeah, laundromats are still quite useful to me. Back to the laundry. They have a big sign that says free wifi but I didnt use it so I cant say how great or bad it is. I did not know until after I placed my laundry in one of the washers but there are 3 sizes here. They range in price from $ 1.5, $ 2, and $ 4 I think. I paid the $ 2 one and then when I was leaving saw the big $ 4 ones on the other right side of the entrance. The machines have 3 settings, at least on the dryer. I chose medium and it lasts about 30 minutes. It wasn’t enough to dry my comforters so I added another 10 minutes. It became bearably dry at that point so I left, went home and stuck it in my own dryer. I probably could’ve chose the high setting but I didnt want to burn my comforters and go against the directions of low heat drying. Who knows, the bed might explode in flames if you don’t follow those warnings to the T according to the manufacturers… that or the dry cleaners association. Why is it that sturdy feeling and looking clothes want you to dry clean??? If I can afford dry cleaning I wouldnt be reading the label on how to wash and have my maid do it. Back to the laundromat. So the washign machines have 3 receptacles on where to place your detergent. Appaprently there are pre-wash, wash, and something else. I dunked it in the first one I saw. Who knew that there were different settings to put in laundry detergent. Sorry, as a guy, I pour in the detergent in my plastic blue ball and close the lid, pull the tab button and away we go, usually. All this other stuff is too complicated. Pre-wash? What, the washing machine needs to take cigarette break? Just wash my clothes It’s near Albertson’s, a decent sushi restaurant, and a fast food China Joes. Man I am so glad I am not a starving undergrad anymore and have to eat at that place. When you become a graduate student you can go eat at high end classy joints like the sushi place for dinner or Aloha Kitchen. I did not know they give out free soap but I brought my own anyway. And if you really need stuff, the world’s largest 99 cent store is directly across the street. I am not sure if it is the world’s largest but it is probably the largest and definitely the largest in Las Vegas. It used to be a huge electronics outlet before they ran out of business and converted to 0.99

I brought a TON of items/uniforms here to get washed for work, honestly it was a HUGE amount. I brought it all specifically separated(but didn’t expect that they would leave it as so) and requested to please have it sanitized. I asked it be ready in a day/day a a half and when I went to pick up I was VERY happy with what I received! Everything was clean and nice smelling and it was separated as specifically as I had dropped it off. Everything was folded and made my life so much easier when it came time to put it all away. All this for only $ 35! I will definitely be coming back and using Waschen Guer’s service. :)

Enjoyed doing my laundry here. The location is fine and the place is clean. The crowd here is largely Hispanic and everyone seems friendly. Prices range from $ 1.50 — $ 5 for a front loader based on size(I’m a single man and did all two weeks’ laundry for $ 4 + dryer), or $ 1 for a few old top loaders. I used my own detergent(but there was free powder available) and everything came out smelling great. The attendant on duty at the time I visited was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly, even helping me figure out what size I needed for washers. Change machine for $ 1 — $ 20 bills available at no fee. There is also water on hot days, and coffee, all for free as well. WiFi was free, but unfortunately very flaky. Perhaps WiFi should be password only to speed it up. This is my only complaint. However, the washer and dryer finished up in about 45 minutes altogether, so I didn’t get too bored.
