YEE: Bastille Day Binge @ Bardot Brasserie

This event was spectacular from the warm welcoming right down to the auctioned away painting painted on the spot while sucking on margarita popsicles. The service was fantastic and there was a steady supply of food. If you left this event hungry or thirsty that was your own dang fault. As usual Nate and Tiffany did a fantastic job with this event and I look forward to many more events like this. It’s events like these that should leave non elites longing to be one.

Been a couple days but still talking about the fantastic food experienced the Unilocal Elite way here at Bardot Brasserie. C’est Magnifique on all levels!
Writing just a quick synopsis since fellow Elites already are doing a great job of covering the finer deets.
Team Bardot did a great job showcasing their restaurant. The servers kept the appetizers rollin’ and the drinks flowin. No joke.
The event held during part of the restaurant’s non operation hours and during the earlier part of the week made it more special like a private event. It made it easier also for me to table hop and socialize with fellow Unilocal Elites :)
There was even entertainment! Since it was Bastille Day, the place already was set for the celebration with live music, ladies dressed in colors of the flag of France, a photo booth, and live art painting by «Brad the Painter».
Highlights for me:
food! — My faves, the chickpea dip that was for the frites. The escargot encased in puff pastry was brilliant! Speaking of brilliant, Chef Josh is brilliant! (just look over the menu. Foie Gras Fried Rice… omg!) He’s the exec chef here and one responsible for all the delicious bites we had. I got to chat with him when he was over manning the slicer. The cured ham,(pata nega) he told me was 30 days to cure I believe.
friends! — Many of my good friends and favorite Unilocalers attended! Chad, Mel (the fork Mel) Suzy, Terri, Amanda, Allison, Ife, Jessie, Bethany, Heather, and Stefany. Great to meet new Elites Michelle and Rick finally in person. Happy to see my favorite GS Warrior fan, Warren P win the artwork painted by Brad the Painter. Congrats!
A well organized and 5 star executed event. Great job CM NateTiffany. Merci beaucoups to our gracious hosts too at Bardot Brasserie! AND THANK YOU Miss Suzy H.(and Shawn)! I was waitlisted for this event. Kinda a bummer cause I knew many of my friends were attending. So grateful that Suzy asked me to be her +1!!! Yay!

I would have never thought I would get to experience some bomb diggity French food. I have never really went searching out of my way to go find a French resteraunt as I was not too sure if my naïve taste buds are ready to take on a different level of flavor appreciation. With that being said BARDOT BRASSERIE has Popped my Cherry for French cuisine!

All the staff members that worked this event were elegant & professional in appearance, nice & always a smile, & humorous in a calm demeanor! KIM was one of the waitresses that stood out the most to me. She would definitely be one of the reasons for me to come back & dine there as she ALWAYS had the biggest smile on at all times & just straight funny. The bartenders were great at making all the drinks & taking the time to answer my curious questions of the kool looking stuff around the bar.
Ambiance & décor made me feel calm & relaxed yet FANCY. The toilette entrance area was gorgeous with framed pictures on the wall & roses in little vases. BATHROOM was freaken GOREGEOUS w/​actual little towels to dry your hands which gave that EXTRA privlaged touch!
JUMBO SHRIMP COCKTAILS — these were huge & juicy meaty pieces of shrimp served w/​their ciroc cocktail sauce
DUCK SALT OYSTERS — from New York… just PERFECT w/​no strong aroma or flavor & served w/​some oyster vinager sauce
PATA NEGRA — not too salty cured Ham that was served freshly sliced
PORK RILLETES — blended pork belly & shoulder was interesting by itself but amazing together w/​the rilletes
SAUCISSION SEC — dry cured sausage the size of a pepperoni was flavorful & went great w/​the goat’s cheese
TARTE FLAMBEE — reminds me of a really thin crust pizza
ESCARGOT — MY FIRST TIME eating this delicace which I thought would NEVER touch my mouth but boy did they fool me by covering that sucker w/​pastery fluffy dough & sauce! It wasn’t bad… tasted very similar to sea snails ahahhaa noe the challenge will be to eat it the OG way…
SMOKED SALMON ON BRIOCHE — served on a little cute toast w/​a piece of raddish wasn’t my thang but hubby LOVED it
STEAK TARTINES — these we’re amazing steak pieces on top of a crispy baguette topped w/​arugula? & bleu cheese crumbles
CHICKEN FRENCH DIP — their NEWEST addition to their menu & it was simple in flavor & juicy
CHICKPEA FRITES — SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!! As if I thought French fries we’re healthy in the first place because it is technically some sort of veggie in my eyes… they decided to to make a chickpea purée & shape it into fat fries & deep fry it!!! W/​an eggplant? Purée sauce? *mind blown*
CROQUES — Ham & cheese sandwiches cut into minis topped w/​béchamel sauce. So cute & so yummy
CHOCOLATE MACAROONS — these originally come in a way bigger size than original macaroons… I wish I could have had 10 of these! they we’re the BEST macaroons I have tasted thus far!
MARGARITA POPSICLES — you are bound to get a DUI w/​this sucker! Had to put it into my beer to mellow out the alcohol but I’m sure people LOVED this popsicle.
FRENCH 75 — bubbly champagne drink not too sweet
BETWEEN THE SHEETS — these we’re STRONG but it seem ed to be a favorite
ST. TROPEZ — I didn’t get to try it… =[
THEAN MERLOT 2012 — I found a Merlot I actually like & it only gets better as it breathes!
QUPE ROUSSANNE 2010 — very suttle
BRASS TACKS GOLDEN ALE — I actually liked this beer plus the kool label
Had to write everything out that I ate for my memory so sorry to those who we’re already there but I will definitely be back to experience the whole SHABANG! =]

The Bastille Day celebration at Bardot Brasserie was my first Eliite event. The evening was over the top. Thanks to Nate and Tiffany for organizing a fantastic evening. At check in my plus 1 Terrie W and I were greeted by Nate and Tiffany and they made us feel like long time family members. Then wearing my red beret was the perfect way to get in the mood.
The Brasserie was beautifully decorated with balloons and flowers. The musicians, Les Femmes and Mime provided the perfect entertainment.
Kudos to the Bardot Brasserie staff. The food stations, the table service of food and drinks continued non stop for 2 hours. The variety and high quality was amazing.
Thanks to Norm K for introducing us to fellow Unilocalers. A BIG thanks again to Nate and Tiffany for an outstanding Bastille Day event.

Wow what an event! I was expecting this to be a fun event but this was really over the top! All the staff were really great, starting with serving us drinks before we even got checked in.
As soon as we got in they had the shrimp and oyster station set up. They were really good about restocking the oysters, but not so much the shrimp. I always thought I liked West coast oysters better, but after having the East and West one right after another I like the sweeter East coast oysters better.
The charcuturie station was kind of hidden but we eventually found it. Of course I loved the proscuitto (and the hand powered slicer!), but the cheeses were delish, and the tiny and potent cornichons were a welcome addition to cut the salt and fat.
Unfortunately our section didn’t get to see all of the served h’or dourves. Seems like we missed the chicken dip sandwiches and the macarons, and we only got one escargot. Wish we had some more of the chickpea frites, steak tartine and mini croques monsieurs come by more than just once. I think the frites would have been better executed in a small cup with three or four in them with the dipping sauce on the bottom to hold them in place. The smoked salmon toasts came by like four times though.
The drinks were super strong and so was the tequila popsicle! I don’t get how that thing froze there was so much alcohol in it! We got quite a laugh from our neighboring tables for putting Tabasco on it but it actually worked pretty well. We shared one and couldn’t even finish it it was so strong. And being allergic to vodka, I’m really appreciative that all the drinks available had zero vodka! I was able to try all of them (expect the strawberry).
Staff was really great. Every time we went to get more food we came back to a clean table.
And I finally got my Unilocal phone charger! Thanks again to Nate and Tiffany for a wonderful event. It was great to see some old faces and make some new friends.

I was a last minute guest for the event at Bardot at Aria, and before the event was even half over I was expressing to other Unilocalers how thankful I was to have been able to attend. Everything from the décor to the food to the service was excellent.
After being entertained by mimes and musicians outside the restaurant we were walked into a beautiful space which had been completely closed down for the Unilocal crew. There were multiple cocktails for those indulging… I couldn’t resist giving them all a try, the French 75 was definitely my favorite.
We were treated to multiple food stations:
A shellfish station to start with shrimp and oysters complete with multiple sauces. In the past I have not been a oyster fan, these were so good I went back for seconds.
A charcuterie station with various meats, cheeses, pâté and delicious little pickles. The Bardot staff working this station were exceptionally amiable.
In addition to the stations, there were various passed canapés. The escargot was the surprise of the evening for me, it was completely different from what I have had in the past and I definitely favor Bardot’s preparation of this dish.
We finished off the night with some absolutely perfect chocolate macarons and some VERY strong Margarita popsicles. Almost too strong, I think the popsicle is the only item of the evening I was unable to fully enjoy.

Yay y’all I have been initiated! My first YEE and it was over the top. Well I didn’t get to meet «Giada» or anything like that (LOL) but the Bardot Bastille Day Binge was filled with great French food, awesome entertainment and friendly faces that came to life!
Thank god that my 1^st YEE was a +1 because I already felt like a creeper stalking everyone on Unilocal but even it wasn’t everybody was super friendly and it was super cool to meet people in person.
Bardot did a great job hosting this private Elite event. Coming into it I didn’t know what to expect (or maybe I did a little bit) ;0) Check in was a breeze Tiffany was o so nice and all the Unilocal gear I got was sweet. There were French music flowing through the hall way played by a group of musicians and Can Can dancers greeted you as you entered.
Stepping into Bardot cocktail waitress’s were waiting with smiles and drinks, ready to get the party Liven with Libations. My favorite was the Remy Martin infused drink called Between the Sheets.
The first station was the Seafood station with Huge Shrimp and Ciroc cocktail sauce, Oyster with Duck salt. Then there was the Charcuterie Action Station with crustini served with Pork Rillettes, Pâté Negra, cheese just to name a few. As you were seated in the dimly lite Resturant adorn by beautiful Red and White roses in blue vases Bacon and cheese white sauce flat bread, hot Escargot wrapped with puff pastries, mini croques, chicken French dip and amazing Chikpea Frites were being passed around.
Everything was SOOOOOOO good and in the end there were sweets! Choc French Maccaroon and Liquor Popsicle that was worth 10 shots!!! Any how Thank you thank you Nate, Bardot and Unilocalers for an amazing YEE! Now I have to come back for their Happy Hour… whoop whoop!

I was blown away by everything at the Bastille Day Binge YEE at Bardot Brasserie. From being greeted by a trio of musicians to a mime to seeing Tiffany to get our wristband, everything went like clockwork and everything was exceptional.
When we entered, there was a setup with shrimp and duck salt oysters. In the next area were the charcuterie for serving yourself. Wonderful paté, rillettes, cheese, etc. As we ate the things we had chosen at the raw bar and at charcuterie, servers from Bardot circulated with chickpea fries, tarte flambée, and my favorite – puff pastry encased escargots.
During this time, the musicians played for awhile and our mime was there for photos and fooling around! :) We watched an artist do a painting of the bar area of Bardot which became the door prize for the evening. What a grand idea and what talent he had!
Our CM, Nate, came around to all the tables and he urged the group to get together with new Elites to make them welcome and to find some new friends.
This event was perfectly planned. We had the entire restaurant for our group for two hours, the food was terrific, the service was the best, and being with fellow Unilocalers made for a fine YEE!
Thanks to Bardot and Mr. Liendo for being gracious hosts. Many thanks to Tiffany and Nate for all the work needed to make this event so successful. Finally, welcome to our new intern, Toby! Bienvenue!

Amazing event! Thanks to the Unilocal team Nate and Tiffany. You guys rock! A huge thank you to Bardot and their team. The servers were outstanding. Food and drinks kept appearing at the table.
First being serenaded by the lovely music when entering the restaurant was great! This French restaurant was decorated so nice. I believe our Unilocal group has the entire facility… And it was a large facility! Drinks were handed out as we walked in. I had a fun concoction with strawberries in it.
The oyster/​shrimp cocktail station was set up and ready for us. The charcuterie action station was also ready with their amazing spread. The pata Negra was delicious. The various meats and cheeses were fresh and tasty. I loved how their were slicing the meat fresh in front of us.
The waiters/​waitresses had already begun walking around with the various canapés. The steak tartines and escargot were my favorites. Delectable for sure. The smoked salmon on brioche was perfectly smoked and presented in the toasted bread.
Of course they couldn’t stop and brought out the chocolate macarons. Light and airy. Just enough chocolate flavor had our table drooling over them.
Congrats to the lucky winner of the lovely artwork. That was a fun raffle and definitely a beautiful piece!

Vive Le Bardot!
Celebrating Bastille Day by binging with Yeeps is the way to go.
–Checked in with Tiffany O. and got our Unilocal SWAG ( Unilocaltick for your dry lips, Unilocal pens in French and English, and a phone charger)
–Entered Bardot and immediately served alcohol: Between the Sheets-​rum, Remy Martin VS, Cointreu, and lemon juice.
–Shrimp cocktail and oysters for starters.
–Charcuterie Station: Pata Negra (ham on the bone), pâté, and a rich cream cheese that went well on toasted baguettes.
–Canapes: Croque Monsieur, Escargot, Steak Tartines, Chicken French Dip, and Chickpea Frites. I was most looking forward to the escargot since I’ve never had it. Bardot’s version is one where the snail is wrapped in puff pastry and it was delicious.
The Bardot staff went above and beyond for this event. The food and drinks kept coming so we got the chance to try everything, sometimes more than once. We basically had the whole place to ourselves for 2 hours. I haven’t been to a Unilocal event for a couple of months and certainly not one where many of our friends were present, so this was indeed a special event.
Merci, merci, merci to Nate, Tiffany, Bardot Brasserie, and Aria for taking such great care of us. I’ve never celebrated Bastille Day before and I’m sure all other ones will pale in comparison to this night.
