I was told that the best place to purchase a Verizon phone is from a actual Verizon store, not an authorized dealer. While the phone was cheaper at this location I would never do business with them again. We went in for a phone upgrade. We picked out the phone we wanted which should have ended the sale. But the saleswoman continued to try selling a numerous amount of items. I said I wanted to go to a discount store to get whatever accessories we needed. My husband has little sales resistance so agreed to buy several items that were sold thru used car sales techniques. First he was told that only a few cases are made for the phone he chose. It offered absolutely no protection against damage. He was also told that only a car charger from Verizon wouldn’t burn out the phone like other after market chargers purchased from other stores. We were also told that a receipt would be sent to my son because the family account we use is his. When we arrived home we found no receipt, which we should have gotten since we paid on our charge card. A few days later my husband called the store to have them send us a receipt. The same saleswoman said she sent it my son, but if come into the store we could have a copy. We live 30 miles from the store. Not the was to do business. A stamp on an envelope would have been the way to go. I called my son and was told that the receipt was just sent to him. Minutes after our call to the store. We made the trip to see the district manager to air our complaints. She did not want to hear them. She defended her salesperson, swearing to her lies. She said there was a problem with the email to son. Funny it was right after our call to the store. We wanted to return the cheap case which they charged $ 25.99. We were only given $ 17.99 back because it was purchased as part of a «bundle». I went online a found a case the phone that protected again damage. It has rubber all around the sides of the phone. At no time did the manager look us in the eye. Instead she looked at her tablet and acted like she didn’t care what we had to say. That is no way to do business. We will find another location to deal with.
