Golden Krust

The service and food here is stellar. I have had the curry chicken brown stew chicken patties barbecue chicken. the rice and peas is pretty good with cabbage. I usually ask for less rice and Peas and ore cabbage with extra gravy and they accomadate. Most impressive are their jerk chicken wings! Kind of a spicy sweet but mmmmmm good! I
going back for some soon. The location is clean food fresh and is located on the north side of sunrise in the publix shopping center.

When I saw this restaurant I was curious because it said Caribbean food so I decided to try it. They have things like curry and empanadas. I’ve tried both. The empanadas were good, cooked fresh daily and there were a bunch of different fillings. I ordered the spinach and cheese and a beef filled one. Both were good but I would have liked a little more filling. As for the curry, it had great flavor but I prefer my meat not to be cut up with the bone in. I know this is a cultural thing, but it’s just something I’m not crazy about. I feel like there are bone splinters in my food and I have to pick them out and to me it’s not the best. But you definitely can’t beat the flavors they bring to the meats. They have ox tail, chicken and usually goat. I’m not a fan of either the ox tail or goat so I always get chicken. I would also recommend going toward the beginning of the dinner rush because they can run out of stuff fairly quickly and then there isn’t a lot of choices. Overall I would say it’s a place to give a try.
