Sonic Drive – In

As much as I want to like this one, it consistently disappoints. The order is not correct when it comes. My burger was just warm, no where near hot. The jalapeños, + 65cents extra, we’re not there. My wife’s chicken sandwich with jalapeños, +65 cents, we’re 2 and a half nacho slices. That comes to about 33 cents per slice. This is my 4^th visit to this store and have been disappointed every time. Going to have to wait to get back home to get hot food served from sonic and not food warmed up in a microwave. Very sad…

I was excited that I found a sonic drive-​in so close to my new place. I love sonic’s menu options and even though it’s still fast food junk just like McDonald’s and Burger King, I still think their food tastes better and they have a broader selection of brightly color sugar coated junk to choose from. My son also seems to love picking this particular joint to eat whenever he’s given the choice of where to go. The last time we ate here it was a pleasant experience, the gentleman that attended to us was very nice and polite. This time the woman that took care of us was horrible. I didn’t get to take down her name because she didn’t even have a name tag on and she didn’t give me a receipt with her information. She had braids and blue/​purple lipstick. She couldn’t talk lower, she was basically whispering. Made me repeat myself five times. Then in an undermining tone she repeated back what I said like I was stupid ordering when I could barely hear what she was saying. If you don’t want to work with customers then don’t work in a customer service setting. Horrible.

So after placing my order and waiting for nearly half an hour without any sort of notice or word from my server or anyone at all my food finally arrived.
Not only was my food actually cold there was a list of problems. One of the drinks didn’t have the top press down and spilled immediately when I put my car into reverse. My order was messed up, the girl taking my order could hardly understand English and had no idea how to work a register and nearly charged me $ 30 for 3 cheeseburgers, and when I finally got to pay for my cold and almost unwanted meal I was given the incorrect change.
I installed Unilocal just to leave a review because when I called the store’s phone number I was sent straight to voicemail with a message saying their voice mailbox has not been set up yet goodbye!
So I say goodbye to you sonic, I took a special trip out going about 10 miles out of my way just to try something different and all I got was utter garbage.
I’m never coming back here again.

It was my first time eating at sonic yesterday around 4 or 5 ish .the young lady at the register just so monotone and not welcoming, but that wasn’t the issue. I received my order and we decided to sit outside because it was quite and cool. There was a group of employees outside discussing their other employees about how they hate working with so and so it was hard not to listen in because they were so loud! They were cursing and everything it was very disturbing. That wasn’t even the worst of it ! One of the employees told the loud one that was cursing and getting roudy to «shhhh there are customers» and she said out loud with no shame at all «I don’t give a F&$& I’m off the clock» I was so disgusted… I do not want to be around that disrespect I wish I caught her name .i will never come back. The customer service sucks!

Gross don’t waste your time or money
We ordered $ 30 worth of food and everything was greasy, cold and flavorless.

I would look elsewhere. It seems the management doesn’t care. Last Friday night they were under staffed. And no managers to be seen

This is a cool fast food place. However, I was less impressed when I noticed the workers outside playing around with someone’s dogs that was parked. However, my guests and others swear by their shakes. I have yet to have one personally but they look great.

Wrong order, every time. Doesn’t fail. But those cherry limeades keep me going back: P

The food was decent however the service was horrendous. We ordered at the counter, there were three people in my party. Half the order was missing and it took me two attempts to get the missing food.
I ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage, I was surprised the egg and sausage tasted fresh and the size of the burrito was huge, especially to be a breakfast portion. The tater tots were a little salty for my taste but still good. The mozzarella sticks were delicious; this was probably the best fast food mozzarella stick I have had. I have never tried the shakes but it is my understanding this is what they are known for, I will make another visit, and hopefully the service won’t be as bad and the people a little friendlier.

Great shakes, food is horrible… Only come back for shakes and some dessert. Never come here after 8pm you will wait for ever.

Been here 2 days in a row and the nice red headed lady always smiles and asks how my day has gone and wishes me a great rest of the day. Try the steak and egg bfast burrito with a strawberry and pineapple slush. Yuuummy

Yes, I know this is just a fast food place, but we’ve generally had really good experiences here, so I’m giving it four stars.
While the burgers are not necessarily my favorite, they have really good hotdogs. For some reason, it’s very hard to find great hotdogs around here. These are nice, all beef dogs and the variety of buns is terrific — we really like the garlic cheese buns and the sautéed onions on the dogs. Their Chicago dogs are better than most, too.
I also like their breakfast burritos. I like the one with the bacon (of course) because they don’t skimp on the bacon.
One of my favorite things is that they are always adding new items to their menu. Not to mention the frequent specials. We loved the $.50 corndog day! We loaded up and kept them for snacks.
While I like a nice, thick milkshake, these are so thick that you have to wait for quite a while to be able to drink them through the straw. They need to be thinned just a bit, so you can actually enjoy them with your meal.
So, have a good time and tell them Unilocal sent you!

3 stars– One Reason: Employees lie to customers.
I have been to this sonic multiple times since their grand opening and had both good and bad days. Prices=good. Menu items= you get what you pay for.
Be careful when ordering their shakes. I have been lied to on two separate occasions where they gave me a chocolate chip shake (for instance) with no chocolate chips without telling the customer before they ordered and then tried to cover it up with whip cream and proceed to lie to me. Bad business practice especially when the high school workers there are not taught properly.
Only been going for the food.

Standard sonic fare. Except you can get beer or wine at this one. You can dine inside or on the patio, or in your car drive up. Fish sandwich was kinda dry, foot long coney was extra drippy and my hubby loved it. Got onion rings and cheddar peppers and cherry limeades which were awesome. I love the crushed ice in their drinks.

There is finally a sonics in the broward area! I had to get one of their so called famous drinks, but wasn’t too impressed with it. The food was okay, actually, they got my order wrong.
Overall, it was decent fast food. Wouldn’t mind coming back again when I get the midnight munchies.

On my 2^nd visit, I ordered the philly cheesesteak – not impressed, small, served on hot dog bun? very salty.

Great food had the best cheeseburger excellent cheese sticks. My husband loves the tater tots. He said better sweet iced tea better than McDonald’s. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast lunch or dinner about to try the coffee I will let you know how it goes

Well went to the drive thru during the lunch rush & ordered a cheeseburger with fries. The fries weren’t fresh and the burger was ok… (kinda cold) I’ll give it another go in a month or so, but not during lunch time.

Finally a Sonics near where I live but not totally impressed as of yet I am not sure if they just need to settle into their new location or what, but as of now they have a few issues they need to work out such as they have a friendly greeter as you walk in and she tells you that you can order at the bar or walk to your right to the cashier and place your order with them and then find a table. When you look around there are no menus accept a little threefold brochure taped to the cash register. Why not have that friendly greeter hand the customers a menu as they walk in since they forgot to install a sign on one of your walls or even better yet use one of e five flat screen T.V.s as a digital menu.
After you place your order and sit down you are to listen as one of the servers skates around and screams your name over the music and all the people talking in the small confines of the dining area. I for the life of me can’t figure out why would you have a half dozen servers on roller skates with trays of food in a very tight areas with lots of people and tables placed quite close to each other?
As for the food I had a Chicago style hot dog which was pretty good a pc they use the wrong type of relish but if your not from the Windy City you probably won’t even notice. I also ordered a burger and it was cold, if the cheese doesn’t even come close to starting to melt in a wrapped burger it simply means it was put together while it was already cold.
At least I can say the entire staff is friendly and asks you if there is anything else they can get for you more then once.
On a good note order the peach cream slush it is the most bestest !
I guess I will give them a second try in a few weeks and see if they ironed out all the wrinkles.

You can’t go wrong with Sonic! Grand opening this week on the newest drive in near my house.
What I like about this location is that it has a an actual seat in area to eat will a bar and beers on tap!
Once we got there the line to get a drive in spot was all around the parking lot and there were sonic workers directing traffic, we decided to just park and go inside the restaurant, little did we notice that the line was outside the door and wrapping around the building. We decided to wait it out because we were starving and had been craving it all day. We did find a glitch in the order system once we saw that we could just walk up to the bar and order straight from there to go lol.
Food was great, can’t go wrong with some tots, a limeade and a coney ;)
