Service was on point. Parking easy. Salmon and mash potatoes went well with Mac n cheese.

This is my boyfriends favorite restaurant. We’ve been going there several times a year since he took me there for my birthday 4 years ago. I love their croissants, although I can only stand to have one because of all that butter. I’ve always had good food while I’m here, with very generous portions. Their drink prices are amazing(The Painkiller is no joke and also really good. I also like the Texas Sweet Tea and some days it’s only like $ 3). We usually go when it’s pretty slow so we never have to really wait. The only time we really waited was for valentines day two years ago, and that was about an hour. I digress. It’s good. We love it. It’s our comfort zone. I think it deserves higher ratings. *PS: I switched over to vegetarian this year, and we went here last month. Not many veg options on the menu, but they were more than willing to accommodate for me.

Visited Cheddars in Tamarac last week with my folks, who had just closed on the sale of their home in North Miami. They wanted a quiet lunch out and I suggested this place mainly because they hadn’t yet been there for a meal and their new home is literally within walking distance. At first it reminds me a of a TGI Friday’s type restaurant. And in many ways it is just like it. The waiters/waitresses during the midday Monday were pretty on their game. We didn’t have to wait very long to be served, nor did we wait long for our food to arrive. I ordered a cup of baked potato soup and the crispy chicken salad. The soup was pretty darned good and the salad tasted very fresh with the crispy chicken. All in all a fine restaurant for a fine meal with great service. Won’t cost you very much either.

Average American restaurant, nothing outstanding. Mike bartender seemed knowing what he was doing but not much managers appearance on the floor. Need to clean or check their glass and dish washer machine. Our glasses came out very bad even though Mike did wipe well.

I don’t go here often because I’m from New York but I get here whenever I visit my mother who lives in the area. Food is always enjoyable and the ribs I had the other night were cooked fall off the bone perfectly. Mom had the chicken pot pie which is her favorite. Others must agree with me about the food as there’s always a wait at dinner time. Prices are good and service is fine.

Great price for good food and large portions at that. $ 3.99 margaritas all day and night. Too bad they don’t have a location on the east side

Ok, I haven’t been here in a while. Prior to this evening’s meal I’d always had a good experience. Tonight was not one of those nights. We ordered crab dip as an appetizer and the crab was nonexistent! We ordered the steak and shrimp combo. The four litte pieces of ship were dry, cold, small, and most of all tasteless(for $ 4 extra?). The service felt rushed. The waitress would ask us if everything was OK as she walked past our table without stopping going to her next table. To sum up our experience tonight, the coleslaw was the best part of the meal.

I love this place!!! great for families with small children, couples or a place to grab a decent inexpensive meal wish they had locations in the New York /New Jersey area. My party of 3 tried the grilled chicken entrée and fish meal both were flavorful and delicious with a nice portion size especially for the price. The frozen margaritas was everything. The wait staff here was also great. Will definitely return if in the area. Thank You Cheddars!!!

This place is amazing!!! The wait is long but that’s because it so good. I took the family and we had a great time. When we told the waitress we had waited a bit to get seated(Cheesecake Factory size wait), she brought us free croissants. Those croissants were AMAZING. She was great and attentive. The prices are very good compared to other restaurants in their class and the food is just so tasteful. I highly recommend to anyone. Compared to Chilis, Friday’s, etc.

As cheap as a fast food restaurant w/less quality food. When I first sat down I was amazed at the bargain prices, unfortunately they are no bargain once the food comes. Better off at chick fil a or sonic across the street.

Chedder’s is a family type restaurant specializing in fried chicken which was very good. The fried onion rings were great. Salads were good size for the price but not exceptional. Burgers were average. We were short on time and they were able to speed things up so we got out on time. We did return for a second visit.

Good food, good service, and best of all inexpensive. The breaded whitefish was very tasty, and I like the red bean rice too. A great place to go for a casual family gathering.

Great place for happy hour. Drinks and food are affordably priced, and service in the bar area is on point. The dining room is a different experience. This is definitely a place that hires without experience, servers are young and don’t seem to have any knowledge of hospitality. Food is cheap and cheerful. Restaurant is a bit sticky… service is ok at the bar.

Hello Fellow Foodies. Last night was my first experience at Cheddar’s. The service was wonderful. Our server, David was amazing. He was attentive, professional, and knew the menu. We had the crab dip to start, which was ok. I would not reorder. We had the salmon with bourbon glaze, grilled chicken with bourbon glaze they came with 2 sides each. We ordered the black beans which was excellent, the Southern string beans which were delicious, steamed broccoli and French fries cooked to perfection. The portions are large. The Cheddars painkiller was a very large delicious libation except they only allow two per customer. All in all it was a lovely experience and will be back. I recommend this to all fellow foodies. The prices are very reasonable. Enjoy.

The exterior is beautiful and well constructed but inside smells of dirty rags mixed with cleaner. I went during a quiet Wednesday lunch and there was a decent crowd. The meus were old, wrinkled as if they had been soaked and dried, and the print was faded so much I could not read entire sections. The booths were cracked and dirty. Needless to say they need to pay more attention to the interior of the restaurant. I ordered their New Orleans pasta. The menus said it contained shrimp, sausage and chicken in a cajun alfredo sauce. When it came out the food was lukewarm, the sauce was thin and bland. There was one CHUNK of chicken and a good amount of sausage that was equivalent to a sliced hot dog in taste. There were two pieces of vegetables, a green pepper and onion. Just one slice of each thrown into the bowl. I had to stop eating because I felt that the quality of the food would make me sick. I would definitely not recommend.

Well… the food was ok. Service was ok. The portion sizes were large. I couldn’t finish my meal, and I had the very inexpensive country fried steak with mash potatoes and Mac and cheese. For some reason, they laid the steak on top of the garlic bread, which was soggy by the time I got it. Strawberry lemonade was really sweet, but I still had 3 of them. Pretty sure we heard gunshots on our way there too! Smh parking lot was really dark. I was going to give it 2 stars but I remembered that’s this is not a premium restaurant. It’s like Applebee’s, and I was never a fan of that either… THREESTARS

It is crowded in here tonight but our waitress Natasha seems to have it under control. The environment is lovely, beautiful setting. There are plenty of choices under $ 10 to choose from. The drinks are cheep and strong, and they came fast. So did the appetizers and they were hot, fresh and tasted amazing. Our actual meals took a bit but were very delicious. Over all it was a good experience. I recommend this restaurant and location to anyone.

The burger and onion rings are the best things on the menu. Anytime I stray from those I end up disappointed. The rest of the menu items I have tried all tasted bland. I have stopped sampling and stick to what I know is good. Cheddars is a great spot to hang out. The bar area is usually filled with a good mixed crowd. The service is mostly very good. The dining area has a couple different rooms and there is an outside patio. Al around excellent neighborhood spot.

I went hear for a Saturday late lunch with my wife and two kids. This is a great family restaurant that has something for everyone and is reasonably priced. For an app we had the bacon cheese fries and ranch dressing dip, it was on point. We all enjoyed it, ranch taste homemade. I had the Monte Cristo Sandwhich, it is a battered and fried Turkey, ham & Swiss Sandwhich that comes with a Rasberry dipping sauce. It is awesome, taste like a donut Sandwhich, don’t knock it until your tried it, you will feel guilty after you eat it. My wife had the crispy chicken salad, the chicken was delicious and came with fried chicken tenders that are really crunchy batter and delicious. It came with mix cheese, tomatoes, carrots and I added Bacon. Great salad for $ 9. On a previous visit I had the chicken fried chicken which I would highly recommend to anyone who is a fan. It is deep fried and breaded chicken filet with country gravy and preferably mash potatoes and corn always goes good with it. My kids both had the kids chicken tenders with fires and they both loves them. The service was excellent and attentive, 5 stars. Our waitress filled my water glass at least 4 times, I never asked it just happened. Overall a nice family restaurant that is a great value and really tasty food!

Came for lunch today with some work colleagues. They have really cast menu and their prices are really decent for the amount of food you get. I love that the hostess staff open the doors and greet you upon your arrival. We were seated right away and our server was already at our table waiting for us. She was really nice and attentive but had tables in various locations of the restaurant so it did appear that she was running around a lot to accommodate everyone. I have to admit that the food took forever to come out even though we ordered pretty quickly, almost 45 minutes. We wanted to order early enough prior to the lunch rush getting in but apparently we missed the cutoff. Thankfully to we were with some upper management people who were ok with our ‘later’ than normal lunch time. Everything came out exactly as we ordered it and overall it was a nice lunch outing.

How many of us: 2 What we ate: Onion rings, tortilla soup, grilled tilapia with mango sauce, medium well steak with corn and broccoli casserole. What we paid: $ 37.00 plus tips. The good: Just the onion rings The bad: Never eat steak at cheddars! The broccoli casserole was filled with cheese! Overdose! The average: fish didn’t have enough salt. Soup was ok.

Went on a Friday at 6 with my boyfriend. Thought it would be nice to check this place out. I ordered the Shepard’s pie, Mac and cheese and loaded baked potato. He ordered a new Orleans pasta plate and onion rings. The onion rings were decent. The pasta was a little spice but good sauce. My dish was a bit salty and the Mac and cheese was not as good. I had told the waiter for my loaded potato I wanted no chives or butter. Thinking I’d still get sour cream bacon cheese and anything else… I got cheese and sour cream on a small potato:(I wasn’t impressed. The portions of Shepard’s pie and pasta were big but the Mac and cheese and potato were like mini size. When we left there was a bit of a wait going on. Must be the cheap dish prices. Flavor wise I wasn’t impressed.

Not eating just stopped in to have a drink for friends birthday. Owner is cheap and cuts corners everywhere from food suppliers to employees pay. You get what you pay for. I have overheard from women passing that the ladies restroom smells bad. Service is slow and forgetful. Sitting outside with party of 20+ beginning to get dark and only half of overhead lighting works so half party is in dark. Ordered chips and cheese and still waiting 20 minutes for that. Others have come out but kids and mine have not. My jack and coke was lack there of jack. Salads, many had side salads with meals and some ordered salads only half of salads came out, thats to be expected. I don’t eat here and won’t, and service is #1 reason why. Owner monitors restaurant activity via web cams from his home that is not located here in Florida. They do not split checks for large parties or reserve tables for them. Dont bother coming here for anything. The restaurant has a horrible stale feet smell, not cheese just stale. Restaurants quality of food and service caters to there main diners.

I’ve been to this location at least 3 times now and each time I have had a lackluster to bad experience. Yesterday, I went and the whole experience was terrible. First, there were long strands of hairs on my seat and table. It was unappealing but I did not ask to switch tables, because I hate seeming nit-picky so I let it go. We ordered some drinks: Stella beer and Maui Margarita. Awesome prices on drinks– $ 3.50 for most of their frozen margaritas. However, when we asked to see the drink menu the waiter said we were looking at it(a flap showing just a few drinks on the regular menu). We had to point out that it specifically states on the bottom«this is not the full list please ask for the drink menu». After we pointed it out, he decided to get it for us. All I could think was either A you were too lazy you didn’t want to be bothered or B you didn’t want us to order cheaper drinks.(The drinks we ordered were over $ 5 but they had a good selection in the drink menu for less than $ 5.) Moving on… After getting our drinks, we ordered an appetizer(to start). Our waiter seemed offended and said«you are going to order an entrée later right?!» Um… should we choose to yes but your welcoming attitude isn’t really helping! 30 minutes later we got our appetizer(Triple Threat). Does it really take 30 minutes for nachos, potato skins and mozzarella sticks? In the end we ordered 3 appetizers(crossaints-good, triple threat-ok, onion rings– terrible couldn’t eat it) and 4 drinks. The frozen drinks were way too sweet that we couldn’t finish the last 2. Bottom line: terrible service, mediocre to bad food and drinks, but GREAT prices. The drinks are mostly under $ 5 and there are only a few items on the menu above $ 10, majority are under $ 10. Downside: My boyfriend and I fought for the bathroom all night. I got sick the last time I came here as well. Coincidence? I think not. Especially seeing how clean they are(not!). Should have known better after pulling strands of red hair from the table and chair. This has just been my experience. Not everyone will get this server or get sick. The first time I went it was a decent experience. So if you are in the mood for eating out and drinking but don’t want to break the bank, do give them a shot. Just keep your expectations low. Food is not great but it is not all bad.
