I went here yesterday for the first time. I liked the pizza(although the crust is a little thin, which makes the pizza messy). It was lots of pizza topping options so everyone in my family could personalize their pizza. The atmosphere was nice and the manager was super friendly

I’ve had better. The sauce is a bitter. I typically keep it simple and get a regular ol’ pepperoni pizza. If you frequent DC pizza bars you’ll be familiar with Pizza Studio, and &Pizza. This place doesn’t compare. They’re trying to squeeze into the pizza bar mold but the competition is too fierce for this place. That being said there is no Pizza Studio or &Pizza in Laurel so if you don’t know any better you might think the pizza here is pretty good. Ignorance is bliss.

Great concept! It’s the pizza version of chipotle or subway. They have standard signature pizzas or you can build your own. I got the build your own pizza, at a reasonable price. A pizza and drink set me back around $ 10. The pizza is about 11″, a pretty decent size. I topped my pizza with mozzarella cheese, Italian sausage, meatballs, red onion, olives and basil. You can also ask to put more of any topping you pick. The pizza was a little flat for my liking. But perfect if you like flatbread pizza! You have to try their blood orange lemonade! They have penalty of seating. Also if you can’t finish your pizza, they have plenty of to go boxes made. So all you have to do is grab and box and pack up the rest of your pizza.

My girlfriend and I visited for the first time. Build your own pizza! What’s not to love? Wide variety of toppings. Quality and fresh ingredients. If I lived near one of these I wouldn’t eat chain pizza ever again. This place is awesome!!!

Grabbed lunch here today and can’t wait to go back! Garlic sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, veggies– the perfect pizza(and plenty of it!) and the blood orange lemonade? Delicious. Lots of options for toppings and I wish I had grabbed one of the s’mores desserts they had at the register. Next time, I guess.

So delicious! ! I first tried this pizza in California and it’s just as good here in Maryland. I always get meat lovers and margarine. The only thing I would have to say is that they tend to get confused on the orders because it’s so fast pace but it’s ok.

Was hungry and wanted pizza. Strolled into Blaze. Upon entering, the seating area is in front with the order station to your left. Here is the process, you select the sauce you want on the pizza. You don’t select the crust as the crust is basically regular thin crust. I didn’t see option for whole wheat, gluten free or thick crust. Nevermind that, just select your sauce. They’ve red sauce(reg tomato), spicy red sauce and white sauce. From there you can add your toppings. There are plenty of topping to request. They’ve onions, cooked onions, grilled garlic, minced garlic, mushrooms, spinach, peppers, zucchini, Italian sausage, chicken, ham, pepperoni… just to name a few. Your pizza is then placed in the open flame oven and by the time you’ve reached the counter to pay, fill your cup with desired beverage and grabbed a seat… YOURPIZZAISDONE! Awesome! No waiting 30+ minutes for pizza delivery. Pizza price is between $ 5-$ 8! Can you say… FANTASTIC?! I can and I did. Now taste… the MOST important part. It was delish folks. Nice thin crust, fresh toppings, spicy red sauce… I was pleased. Will definitely go back and create another unique pizza for myself.

So I have a new favorite pizza place. Blaze Pizza. Freshly made dough, simple pricing(small, regular 1 topping, regular unlimited topping) Customizable toppings(once you pay for the«any topping» rate, make whatever you want. Four kinds of sauce, lots of meat and fresh veggies… don’t forget to add sea salt and oregano. Best part… the charcoal dust on the pizza bottom from the brick oven. Second time back. Great lemonade and Blood Orange lemonade as well. I am a fan… thanks to Hakeem, Nikki, all the friendly staff and the manager who drives all the way to LAUREL from Germantown(where we both live… Hint hint)… Can you spot any other fans of Blaze?

Today was the second time my husband and I built our own pizzas at Blaze, and it is the second time we have been absolutely floored by the results. We absolutely love this place, and usually can only get about halfway through a pizza before having to take the rest of it home. My pizza today consisted of: spicy marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan, goat cheese, feta crumbles, grilled chicken, applewood bacon, ham, and pepperoni. I also asked the gentleman making my pizza to put a little rock salt on the crust of my pizza, which he gladly did. Five minutes later wala — I had my own pizza. The restaurant is very clean, the people have always been nice to us, and it is always been packed every time we go in there. I’ve seen people in there as young as a couple years old, — people easily pushing there a tease. This is a great place to come, and my only complaint is that the restaurant does not have enough seating. Then again, that’s never a bad thing when it comes to the restaurant business. If you don’t have time to eat inside, or if there’s not enough seating, definitely come in and take this pizza home. It’s just as good now as it will be 12 hours from now. Come on in and try this place — you don’t know what you’re missing till you make your own thin crust pizza.

I like this pizza. PERIOD. Fast oven fired pizza in 180 seconds, what is there not to like? I decided to visit the Laurel location to see if it was just a fluke that this pizza was great tasting at another location as well. It was. I entered the location and was met by a pleasant young man who immediately took my order. I got the make your own pizza with red sauce, shaved and ovilini mozzarella, fresh spinach, green peppers, red peppers, olives, bacon, chicken and garlic. It was wonderful. The crust brown and crisp with the flavors of the ingredients blending well. I washed it down with the blood orange lemonade, which has the perfect blend of sweet and tart. My go to pizza joint when l am in the area. Sure hope they open one in Baltimore.

Blaze is always good, no matter which location you go to. The premade options are good but building your own pizza for the same price is a great option. Staff was friendly!

I received a message from the business, basically saying they are apologetic and hoped more for my visit. I was told they make their sauces and their meatballs were nitrate free. I want to say I couldn’t tell the sauce was made, and I wasn’t debating what was in it. I was making a bold flat out statement that it just didn’t smell or taste like turkey. Leaving that behind, I received a card for a free pizza. I gave one away for someone else to try and yesterday Sept 17th I ate their. I decided not to make my own and went for their veg out pizza with added tomatoes. In the end I’d give this place an ok. I think knowing what’s on a pizza should be the indicator for how long you should leave it in the oven the crust was a good color but due to the veggies and tomatoes it created alot of liquid making it a bit soggy. I was by myself and ate 7 slices. It turned out to be tastey except for having to eat the soggy parts I just quickly chomped on them. I would suggest for pizzas like that a longer time so the crust would hold better. Cuz the last pizza I got the crust was a bit to hard. Overall better than my first experience. Still some of the same problems but, if before I wasn’t gona come back for 8months I’d say shorten that. Thank you for the card for a free pizza, it shows my opinion matter and you care about your business. SMILE!

Alright… So, I was very reluctant to go here b/c after you have had &Pizza, you are a skeptic that anything can be as good as that. And the pictures on Unilocal didn’t really sell me. But it was late at night and our options were limited so I agreed. I soon realized that the pictures didn’t do it justice b/c either 1) people DONOT know how to load up the toppings or 2) the people are just plain Janes that only like cheese and pepperoni. So I’m adding my pictures to show you how it’s done. If you see«ovalini mozzarella» and don’t know what it is, don’t skip it! It’s fresh mozzarella and you WANT that on your pizza. I am also a huge fan of stinky cheese so had to add gorgonzola, yum! Oh and the roasted cloves of garlic… pure deliciousness. What else did I add? What else did I NOT add haha. I threw in some(a lot of) bacon, Italian sausage, Kalamata olives, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, pepperoni, red onions, basil, olives and spicy tomato sauce. The pizza is pretty big after it’s all done so count on leftovers! The service is here is also great. She really loaded up my pizza and told me when I was making good choices haha. We ate there and one guy even asked us how we were doing. Tried the blood orange lemonade. Meh, it was too sweet for me. Added some water to it like a grandma and thought it was alright. Would love to see a whole wheat pizza dough and possibly more sauce options but hey, this place is pretty good. And the price is right! 8 bucks for a build-your-own pizza? Sold! You can count on seeing me again Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza!

The service was awesome from the pie makers to the lady refilling the lemonade to the guy wiping tables and sweeping floors! The Red Vine pizza is simply to «die for»! It’s like having caprese salad on dough… who doesn’t LOVE caprese salad? A person with no taste, that’s who! Oh and the Blood Orange Lemonade… yup I’ve never had anything like it and yes I enjoyed it too! As a matter of fact, guess what’s for lunch today? A caprese salad on dough AKA Red Vine! As long as Blaze is around, I’ll never eat pizza from another…

I love that for one price you can add as much or as little to a pizza as your heart desires. In doing so I went all in and created my own lil masterpiece that I thoroughly enjoyed and had enough left over for dinner. There is an option to order online and pick up but I thought it was cool to see the fresh topping options and see my pie bubbling in the oven as I waited patiently to introduce myself. There were a few employees with locks, added hair/extensions etc that had on the Blaze baseball caps but not hairnets. For peace of mind and enhanced sanitation a hairnet never hurt nobody. I’m happy that the cashier let me know that they do offer military discounts. The wait from start to finish is minimal. Of course you have to have some patience as your pie cooks. On my next visit, I’ll have to try the blood orange lemonade. Plenty of parking throughout the area and even if you can’t park directly out front, it’ll be just a short walk. Weather permitting, there is outdoor seating.

Yes of course it’s the pizza! …But it’s also the cool coffeehouse type environment. … but I think the best thing about Blaze Pizza is the staff; the preparers could not be more helpful or friendly or generous. They almost feel like family. Onto the pizza; What is the best thing about this place compared to a large chain? The build your own approach is amazing because you literally can put as much or as little of everything that they have on a pizza and as of July 2015 it was only $ 7.85! So. What’s your Tio Roberto’s Near Perfect Blaze recipe? Prepare to drool a little… Regular red sauce Mozzarella Goat cheese Gorgonzola Double pepperoni Double sausage Salami Roasted garlic– but cut it up a little Roasted or sautéed onions Mushrooms Sliced green and it red bell peppers Sliced up little cherry tomatoes– extra Drizzle with Pesto once cooked Cook extra crispy. Well, there ya go. ¡Disfrute!

Visited Blaze Pizza on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30. To my surprised it wasn’t very packed when we got there(it got busy shortly after). There were a few hiccups while placing my order that kinda of stood out. I was there with someone and when we started at the beginning of the line(let me also point out that before I told her my name the first thing she asked me was«is this your first time here?» I told her yes and the ordering begin…) they took my name and put it on both pizzas. While this may seem like something small it can cause a big confusion when going down the«toppings» line because they immediately looked at me for me to tell them what I wanted on both pizzas and this was clearly not the case. For instance, I wanted classic red sauce and he wanted classic spicy red sauce. After she was done putting sauce on mine she immediately starting putting the same sauce on his pizza and by the time he got the words out of his mouth for her to stop she had already started to spread the sauce. Now the right thing to do here would’ve been to start over(especially if the dough is right beside you and ready to go but I digress) but we decided to keep it moving. Her response wasn’t one of «oh oops my bad, let me start over» it was more of a «oh, you didn’t want classic? Oh… ok…well». Even though she had asked EVERYSINGLEINDIVIDUALPERSON before us what they wanted on there pizza it didn’t dawn on her to do that for us because MYNAMEWASONBOTHPIZZAS. Remember what I just said about the importance of that? Well, this is a perfect example. This place reminds me of Chipotle’ but for Pizza. You choose if you want white or wheat dough, classic or spicy red sauce or white sauce, and on to the meat and veggie toppings. You can build your own pizza or choose one that they designed. I choose to build my own pizza. White dough, classic red sauce, mozzarella and goat cheese, pepperoni, salami, Italian sausage, roasted garlic, basil, spinach and caramelized onions. All of the crust is the same which is thin. Thin crust isn’t my go to crust but I step out of my comfort zone sometime. Glad I did because I enjoyed it! At the end of the«toppings» line there are finishing’s like roasted garlic, spinach, etc. For some odd reason when she got to those toppings she stopped working on my pizza and begin working on our 2nd pizza and once done she was getting ready to move it directly to the oven. WHAT?! WAIT?! I had to stop her and say«am I supposed to add these toppings after it comes out of the oven or something? WHYWOULD I HAVETOASKTHAT?!? SMH! Again, this is my first time here, I’m sure you ALL heard me say that and this is the type of experience you want to give me? SMH Ok… moving on. She told me «No, I thought you were done.» As for me; I’m still not sure why she thought that when she was the one that had stopped making my pizza LOL I thought she was just doing both pizzas so that they could go in the oven at the same time. Anyway, I added my last few toppings and off to the oven my pizza goes. The restaurant had a power surge while I was waiting to pay for my pizza Oh AND while my pizza was sitting in the oven. The first thing that came to mind was 1) I’m glad you weren’t swiping my card when that power surge happened because that would’ve possibly been something else I’d be worrying about and 2) Um, is this going to affect how my pizza taste? I’m just saying! LOL After waiting about 10 — 15 min everything was back up and running. Some girl that looked like she came straight from the club to work(I don’t think she was officially on duty at that time) LOL Ripped… oh wait no, I mean jeans with holes(honey chile those were NOT rips) had to go behind the counter and start the oven for the Shift Leader because he couldn’t figure it out. He had started telling someone to go to the store and by him one of those big lighters so he could light the oven manually. LOL This was an interesting experience to say the least! LOL Paid for my pizza, took a seat, waited about another 10 min went back up to the counter like ok where is my pizza because I can see that it’s ready and just needs to be cut and given to me. He notices me standing there, cuts my pizza and gives it to me. Overall, after the pizza mix ups in the line, power surge, waiting a little longer than expected even after things were up and running, the pizza was just ok to me. Nothing worth me making a special trip to Laurel for. Now if I am in the area and want pizza, I wouldn’t mind stopping. One more thing, eat all of your pizza in one setting. My pizza was pretty good when it was hot but once it got cold it started to taste like a store bought pizza out of the microwave. OH and get the Blood Orange Lemonade, it is delicious!!! 2 stars because I feel like they still have some work to do here!

This place is dope! The end. I have to go on record as saying I don’t even LIKE thin crust pizza and I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied. With the ambience of a livelier Chipotle or an upscale subway, the procedure is similar. You begin at the lil partition, pick a pie or salad and they construct it down the assembly line and toss it in the pizza oven as you wait. Cost pennies. Maybe 8 bucks for all that food. Ten if you get a drink. Delicious. I had the Meat eater. Sausage, pepperoni, plenty of mozzarella on 11″ of really tasty chewy yet crispy dough. It literally took about 6 minutes and they were calling me to grab my pizza. Piping hot and just REALLY good. They have the run of the mill fountain drinks, but screw em. Have the blood orange lemonade. It’s freaking freedom in a cup. It’s so good all the employees appear to have a rotation to drink it on break. :) There are no waiters but ppl still walk around checking on you, offered to refill my drink or grab me napkins, which I thought was really nice and helpful. The place is pretty new which may be why it’s so ALL things good. But I sure hope it stays that way. I’ll be back. :) 5⁄5 Noms!
