Denny’s

I really like this Denny’s. If you like diner-​style food, this is the place.
55+ club sandwich was very good. Mr guest had 55+ talapia. She thought it was very good.
Service is superb. All the wait staff is very attentive. Drink refills are promptly provided. Wait staff is always concerned about your satisfaction. If you are lucky to draw Wendy as your server, you are looking forward to a great dining experience.

Worst wait time! Store was not busy waited an hour before our food got served. Will rather make breakfast at home than waste my time for bacon and eggs

The real reason for this review is to point out that this store does not support the Orioles! We received coupons for a free Grand Slam with the purchase of a drink after an Orioles victory. So, my son and I went to Denny’s to celebrate. On the door was a sign that said «We don’t honor this coupon» with a picture of the coupon from the game. Boooo! So, instead of giving our money to Denny’s, we went up the street to Tastee Diner.
I usually like Denny’s, and I will continue to support the company at other places, but I won’t be going to this one.

Extremely slow service. The server did not refill drinks or checked on my party to make sure we were satisfied with our food. I ordered a chicken and sausage quesadilla as an appetizer which comes with ranch dressing. My server did not include it and when was asked to bring it the server brought it along with my entrée 20 minutes later! We will not be visiting this Denny’s again.

This Denny’s is great! Currently having a spiritual experience tasting this wonderful food. Our waitress could be a late night comic. Great environment, would recommend.

I hadn’t been to a Denny’s is a long time. Not because of anything in particular. I just liked going to the nearby Tastee Diner a little better.
One day, though, I went into the Tastee Diner and, for some reason they were very, very slow to ask what I wanted to eat (and it wasn’t that crowded) so I walked out.
I was really hungry for breakfast type food and I knew Denny’s served it all day long. It was close by so I stopped in.
I was really very pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t very crowded since it was about 2 in the afternoon and I was seated and served right away. The waiter was friendly, efficient, quick and helpful.
The food was OK. Not the absolute greatest in the world but it was definitely edible and it hit the spot. My guess is that I’ll be heading back to Denny’s in Laurel from time to time. The restaurant was clean and its location is perfect with plenty of parking.

Disgusting food! My sons macaroni was like rubber. My husbands eggs were to be medium and the yoke was completely cooked. Stay away from this place.

Horrible service, went for breakfast, half of our food came out wrong, we were missing so much what we ordered, waitress never came to check on us, never got refills on our drinks when i asked twice. My eggs were disgusting, waitress takes off $ 10 from our bill then tells us she was overwhelmed. We saw her with only 4 tables! Isnt this your job? At least to come check on us? Last time at this location, college park is soooo much better.

For the most part, a Denny’s is a Denny’s, no matter where you are. You know what to expect, from the outdated décor to the variety of breakfast «slams» on the menu (what does that even mean?!).
This Denny’s is a little special because it has more of a «local family restaurant» feel than most chains do. The servers are extra-​friendly and helpful, and they know all the regulars and greet them by name. (I’m both pleased and sad to say that we’re not regulars. Yet.) As one of the only 24-​hour restaurants around Laurel, this place also provides a comfortable and hospitable nightspot for the folks who are maintaining sobriety. I’m always happy to see the positive community that has formed, with patrons and servers supporting each other.
We’ve always gotten great service at this location, with the food arriving fast, fresh, and just as we ordered. The servers check on us regularly and anticipate our needs — drink refills, extra napkins, the check, etc. It’s a solid option when it’s late at night or you just need some comforting diner food.

Food is pretty good. Service is super fast… Love this denny’s.

I always have enjoyed the staff at this location, as busy any morning/​afternoon as it’s rival IHOP. But the benefit here is is open ²⁴⁄₇ is almost the staple for after party food in Laurel. Wait time are to be expected, but service is much MUCH faster later into the evening. Nice holiday specials on seasonal deserts and menu items and always priced fairly.

If you are looking for good old fashion diner experience, this is it. The late 80’s style restaurant interior is still there and if you go there on the weekdays, this place is full of older crowd which is awesome in my opinion.
The staffs do try their best to please you and I never had a bad meal.

We had 5 guests and the food was brought out 1 by 1. My wife is allergic to mushrooms, we told the waitress this and we still got mushrooms in her skillet. The restaurant is clean overall and the food tasted as expected. It was crouded on a Saturday afternoon and we waited about 25 minutes.

Seemed a little chaotic. Employees smoking in front right by main entrance. Could not remotely get my order correct. How hard could it be? Granted I have not had this type of job but if you cannot do it correctly find another. The people cooking the food were arguing with the waitress about how the food was cook. How difficult is it to make fries crispy. I have to say that the MOD did come over to discuss the situation and make me crispy fries.

PROS:
— Our waitron was super friendly.
— The food was yummy.
CONS
— The wait was 35 min for pancakes and a club sandwich (w less than 10 customers)
— We waited 5 min to be seated while the gal said her goodbyes to her boyfriend.
Overall I wouldn’t return.

Typical Denny’s quality fare, but the staff makes the difference here. Which is why I gave it four starts instead of three.
I’ve traveled all over the U.S., eaten at more Denny’s than I can count; this Denny’s stands out to me.
If you want a decent meal on the cheap, give this place a try.

So they seem to have brought some
more help in managerial wise. So I have upgraded my star rating.
We went yesterday at lunch and today at early breakfast and both times it was clear there was a new sheriff in town. Seating was quick, service by both waitresses Constance and Leilani was very efficient and good, and food was delicious, hot and fast.
So thumbs up to the new régime hope it continues!

I’d like to shed some sober light on the terribly inconsistent reviews you can read about this restaurant. The reason the reviews appear to be ALL OVER THE PLACE is that this restaurant is incredibly inconsistent. The waitstaff varies, the food varies, even the managers who attempt to make up for the inconsistencies vary. I seem to recall that one of the last times I was in there I complained that the men’s room urinal was wasting enough water to fill a bathtub every ten minutes and that they should call a plumber. Can you tell I’m an environmentalist?
If you check out my other reviews, you’ll see that I wrote a glowing review about another Denny’s; a particularly consistent and excellent one. In that much more favorable review, I used THIS Laurel MD Denny’s as a fairly typical example of my experiences with most Denny’s establishments.
I regret to say that by posting this lack-​lustre review, I’m steering away from my ordinary habit of either reviewing excellent restaurants or horrible ones. I wish I could issue this restaurant two different scores. It’s never quite as bad as a 1 star, and never quite as good as a 5 star. It is sort of a 2 – 4 star restaurant. About the only aspects of this restaurant which remains remotely consistent is that the parking is always ample, and the waitstaff, regardless of attentiveness or competence, is at least always nice.
PS: in case you are wondering why I ever set foot in this place, an excellent question btw, is that (as my other reviews all mention) I run a social club that meets in a different restaurant (and usually in a different town) each week. Although I’d much prefer to meet in the Tastee Diner a short distance from the Denny’s, one of the more influential, demanding and independent members of this club insists there’s nothing at the Tastee she can eat, so for her sake we will continue to meet at the Denny’s until things get so bad here that even she prefers the Tastee.
Now that I’ve explained all that, and have had a moment to think about it, I’m going to keep careful attention to what she orders at the Denny’s and after better understanding what she can eat, I’ll try to have a talk with the owner of the Tastee and ask if they can whip something up to her liking.

Went for Saturday morning breakfast. Ordered the «moons over my hammy» which is eggs, cheese and ham in a toasted sandwich with a side of hash browns,
Food was served quickly. Good taste.
Able to eat and head to work in plenty of time.

It is 4 am, you are drunk or stoned (I am not judging), and nothing else is open. Thank God for Dennys.
The staff is usually friendly and helpful, if not overly motivated.
They serve breakfast at anytime and it is pretty darned good. They now have the 2,4,6,8 menu which means you can get good food cheap
