I just noticed the Giggy’s BBQ food truck, and was wondering how it stacked up against other barbecue fare. They offer a small variety of items including burgers, hot dogs, po boys, and pulled pork, but it was the Pit items that really caught my attention.
The Pit Beef Sandwich was made with tender, smoky, meat which was not quite as moist as it should have been, but was great with their barbecue sauce.
The Pit Turkey was incredibly moist, and was also delicious with their barbecue sauce, plus onions and horseradish (although all three may have been overkill.)
Their Onion Rings are homemade, lightly crispy and you can bite right through them without them breaking apart or shedding breading everywhere.
Coupled with the friendly and adaptive service, this is the truck to aim for when you see it.

Love the food truck — the Shrimp Po Boy is hands down the best one I’ve ever had, and I’ve lived in New Orleans! A lot of places shortcut and just fry the shrimp is no seasoning, but the shrimp alone are worthy of a meal, but when you combine them on the sandwich with that sauce — magic! Love them!

Wow what can I say, I order their special the gigs up, and they didn’t know what I was taking about, I had to show them their own sign. Next they asked if it was just the sandwich… ummmm no I ordered the meal just like the sign showed and said I’ll have the meal. When I waited for ten mins for them to get me the ½ fries ½ onion rings that apparently you can’t fry together but in the same oil one after another I got a shrimp pro’ boy with fries… you had one job… one job!

When we drove by it on Rt 175 in Jessup I was very excited to see it. I had meant to stop in when it was located on Rt 198. So it has moved.
We both got the pit beef sandwich and loved it. My friend got the horseradish sauce and the bbq sauce and he raved about it. I had mustard on mine and it was fabulous. The beef was cooked perfectly, it was tender and juicy. The flavor was fabulous. I can’t wait to go back. I live in VA but its worth the drive. Can’t wait to try the other menu items. I used to drive up to Chaps but now I don’t have to go as far:)

We used Giggy’s BBQ for a lunch the day after our wedding. The BBQ was delicious, the BBQ sauce NEEDS to be bottled so that I can put it on everything I eat. My husband took all of the leftover potato salad and ate it every day for a week straight.
Giggy’s showed up when they said they would, made working with them a breeze, and and their prices were more than reasonable. All of our guests raved about how good the food was, and it was so nice to not have to worry about that meal while taking care of last minute wedding details. I would highly recommend Giggy’s if you’re looking for a catered meal!
