Rub elbows with all the locals, especially the creative crowd of young professionals. Free wi-fi draws as many as their delicious Southern Pecan coffee. Favorites include the Vegetarian Panini with fresh avocado, their generous Chopped Salad, and chicken salad croissant that’s on the savory instead of sweet side. Those on diets need to stay away from the decadent Pimiento Cheese BLT and be aware that their must-have, homemade French Onion Soup with chunks of country ham has not simmered long enough to be served on Mondays… The Black Forrest frozen coffee serves as dessert but there are lots of homemade desserts in the case. Arrive before 11:30 on weekdays or you’ll find a line. Newbies: Tea and water are self-serve as well as the silverware, and put the number they give you in the stand on your table for quicker service. Don’t worry if all the tables downstairs are full, the balcony is now open for seating, especially larger parties. Tickled they’re open at 7 am now for those who need a to-go of Southern Pecan before work! Nicest – and clean– bathroom than any public space in town. Parking in back as well as on the street is convenient on busy Tuesdays when the YWCO is also serving lunch downtown.

Lee’s is our hometown lunch favorite! The pimiento cheese & chicken salad are to die for! Great coffee drinks, great atmosphere and you may even be able to visit with our local treasure, Mr. George McNeill!

Best place in town for morning coffee and has good, light lunch… salads, soups and great pimento cheese sandwiches!

A meal at Lee’s is a must every time we visit Laurel. I always get the Chopped Salad and some type of sandwich to share with whomever I’m with. The Brisket or Pimento and Cheese are two of my favorites but you really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Make sure to save room for coffee and dessert!

Best sandwiches in town. The pimento cheese blt is ridiculously good. They have good coffee, too, for what they serve. I love the southern pecan roast, in particular. I’d love to see them begin to ranch out into craft coffee, cold brew, and maybe a slow bar(pourover).

Great little coffee shop! I am always greeted with a smile. Coffee is delicious. Food is yummy. They also have a room you can use for events and gatherings.

Lee’s Coffee and Tea is a perfect lunch spot in Laurel, MS. Their coffee/tea selection is average, but atmosphere and overall experience is great. The shining beacon of hope for this local spot in their food selection. The quesadilla and wraps are unquestionably above average, and merit a stop when in the area. I would be pumped to see them venture out in the coffee department and start taking risks. What if we they had a pour over option? What if they made a cold brew instead of iced coffee? Oh snap it would get me to downtown Laurel more often. Staff have also caught my attention on multiple occasions — they just seem to care about the customer. That’s nice.

Great service and awesome coffee. The pimento cheese is the best in town. And I always love the Chai tea! Cool atmosphere.

Ran by here for some pre-Christmas Parade Coffee! What a clean, lovely place :) I got the Raspberry Truffle Latte and it was delicious. Food prices seem very reasonable and all the staff was friendly and professional. We don’t live in Laurel but will definitely stop in for lunch one day!

Well friends never in a million years would I have thought I would be in laurel ms. So I found this place. Good coffee actually a dirty chai(had to explain what it was. Go figure) & the sandwiches look good. All in all a cool place & cheap. Upstairs are offices & some local art. Not really a gallery or a place to chill. Just a note. The pimiento cheese BLT looks pretty damn good. Next time.

Pimento and cheese BLT… Need I say any thing more! Not living in the south, I had only heard of this famous and delicious sandwich so when I arrived at Lees I couldn’t wait to try one. All the rumors were true, this was a fantastic sandwich. I happen to know what pimento cheese is made from but I chose to ignore how unhealthy it was, I was in the south and I had to experience it! There aren’t a whole lot of options to eat in downtown Laurel, so make sure you stop in and get some Mississippi charm and a great meal.

I can agree with the other Unilocal reviews of Lee’s Coffee and Tea. I was dying for a good lattee when I hit current locations. We had the Southern Pecan coffee and steamed milk. Two lessons learned from Lee’s. First we must use SOLOMO media to help traveler’s find treasure in small communities and second, we must write reviews to share treasure with others.

This place is an oasis in a desert of café’s and other morning food. I was able to get not only a fresh banana but a chai latte in a town where fresh food was almost extinct and coffee at it’s best is the wafflehouse.

Thank goodness for this place! I want to take it home with me. I just needed a place to surf the web and I found a beautiful place with great coffee and wonderful food(and reliable wifi too)! Sophisticated but cozy and laid back. The tables and chairs are comfy. The space is well lit with great natural light too. It’s huge and there is room to linger all day if you want. The staff was very friendly. there are art and music studios in the building as well. I can’t recommend it enough. I’ve lived in Atlanta, GA and Columbus, OH and I have my coffee favorites in both of those big cities. This place tops all of them. Laurel is a beautiful town that’s fallen on hard times like so many small cities. it can be quite depressing but this is a very bright spot. If you are passing thru, stop into Lee’s and stay a while. Chicken salad on lettuce with fruit was excellent. very carefully put together flavors — yum! Beef brisket sandwich also was excellent. Like a little side of pimento cheese? Here ya go. How about a shot of chocolate frosting? Right here sugar. Ya’ll come back now!
