The food here is great! Despite the location or the look from outside, its the insides that count the most. Walking up looks like some weird take out place in a short strip mall but as soon as you walk in, you’re transported to a beautiful restaurant. Be sure to ask for olive oil when you get the bread.

I have been coming here for years to this unassuming Italian restaurant in a strip mall on a rotary in Laurel. Don’t let the skin fool you, inside is a wood burning brick oven and homemade pastas. Cooked perfectly al dente, the menu is extensive and very reasonable. Often there are long lines trying to get into this little cozy place.

We came with our neighbors, who have been going to Pasta Plus since the 80s! Having been to Italy before, my taste would be discerning because food in Italy is wonderful. Pasta Plus did not disappoint. I had one of the evening specials… Charr with artichokes and pasta on the side. Pasta is made in house! Looking around, there’s tons of wine to choose from. They also have a couple of Italian beers. Great dessert selection. I had the hazelnut one… can’t remember the name. It was delicious, light, and not overly sweet, just like a true European dessert. We Americans use way too much sugar in our desserts. Finished off with espresso. Good espresso, which is hard to find in the United States. We will be back and you should check it out. Worth it!

I absolutely love this place. The marinara/pasta sauces are great and wine is awesome. Often, I order pizza here(when I have the cravings) &WILLNOT order pizza from any other restaurant. The pizza is awesome. Sometimes, I wish they delivered but Pasta Plus is better than that so I don’t mind driving lol!!!

This was an amazing little Italian place! We are just passing through and needed a quick early dinner option for the family! The service was outstanding and the food was everything we’d hoped it’d be! We dined in with a 1 and 3 year old and although the venue seems a bit more adult they were extremely accommodating to us.

Coming from NJ very hard to find a worthy place to have good Italian food. Sick and tired of all the chains and buffets down here. Not many old school places with a great history. On the downside, parking is horrible as is the location. Very jammed inside, but something worth dealing with for the excellent food! Don’t try and go there on a Saturday night unless you feel like standing in line for a very very very long time! Also suggest they put seating outside with drink service while people wait. Heaters in the winter wouldn’t hurt. Standing in a doorway is rather annoying. You are shoved in with a bunch of strangers. Reservations should be strongly considered along with changing the chairs. They are very uncomfortable and hard. I have a 74 year old Mother and she said she felt like she was sitting on a rock! All in all a place I will continue to go to…

Outstanding food! The bread is truly amazing! Generous portions and the hands on owners Massimo and his brother Sabbatino truly care about customer service. You will not be disappointed. Great fish and veal dishes! My family has been going there for over 20 years and the quality has never diminished. Also great take out Itailian stuff.

I called six weeks ago to see if they could handle a party of 20 at 6pm. They told me they do not take reservations. That is true unless you know the owner… I’ll get to that. I called yesterday at noon to give them a heads up that a party of 20 was coming in at 6. Again, they said they do not take reservations. Fair enough, we can wait for a table. . We showed up at 545pm and asked how long it would be to seat a party of 18. We were told that was not possible and they could only seat as tables came open. Basically they were telling me they couldnt handle a large party all at once. Ok. Maybe they could have told me that when i called twice asking if they could handle a large party. As 18 of us stood outside trying to figure out where to go, another group of about 15 showed up and were given a table immediately, which was reserved. Strange… Outstanding way to treat your customers!!! The service here has always been hit or miss but what they did last night was unprofessional. It was like we were the first large group to walk in the door. Wake up, Pasta Plus!

The best fontina pizza in town! This place has been open since the 80’s and I can see why. The setting is a very intimate setting and we got a table as soon as we walked in. Apparently there are many times where the line does go out the door, but they don’t take reservations. Their bread is fresh baked and has a nice crust. I recommend getting the fontina pizza to start because it tastes amazing! The waiters are very nice and food comes pretty quickly. Also the pasta is made fresh in the kitchen!

So back in the day when I was working for a contractor I happened to accidently find this restaurant and I got to tell you it was one of the best things that has happened to me. The food here is nothing short of superb. Everything from the Pasta, meat, and seafood dishes was 5 star. Quality control was fantastic, clean plates good presentation. If it was one dish that was my fave here it would be the fettucini amatriciana, its a tomato sauce with sautéed pancetta and onion… molto bene! Highly Recommended!

My parents just returned from Italy and wanted to give Pasta Plus a shot. They had been before and weren’t overly impressed, but wanted to see if their opinion had changed since exploring authentic Italian food. Them and I LOVED it. We started with a pizza to share that they said was extremely authentic in taste and texture and all had pasta dishes that were magnificent. In addition the environment is adorable and intimate. The owner came around numerous times to ask us how we were liking our meals(In Italian, of course). Tip: make sure you get there early! We came on a Tuesday evening at 5:45. It was packed with a line out the door by 6:30. Totally worth it for the magnificent food and experience.

Amazing food ! Fresh — fresh super fresh ! Family owned and operated. Hidden gem ! Be sure to check this place out. Great wine list and friendly staff — sampled a few different things with my fiancé who has been coming here since she was in her twentys and now she is in her 40’s and the food is just as good ! Can’t wait to go back

I came once to try a pizza to go which was good. But to appreciate the experience one must truly sit in and dine. I was here early on a Friday evening and never realized that this place gets packed quick. This is fine dining so do not expect big screen TV’s or loud music. I was seated presented with warm bread and butter and glasses of water were always filled.(I cant stand having to order a glass of water). For appetizer i ordered the calimari which was good. I was in the mood for a home made calzone. They only had pork and veggie. I asked if they could make a chicken one. They did and they brought me a humongous calzone something that would appear on «MANVSFOOD» even a patron at a nearby table wished me luck. Overall great experience. Im not a big fan of Italian food but this place won my heart. Only 2 other Italian restaurants have done this to me. One in NY and the other in Miami.

Our first visit at Pasta Place and the food was great, Marinara Sauce is unbelievable amazing, side salad and house dressing as well. The kids ate Pizza that was very good, older son ate gnocchi he said it was ok, but Frutty di Mari was yummmy. Service was ok could have been better we could have spend more money but server did not work out the table the way they should. Restaurant is closed on mondays but they open the little market they have with full service which i liked. Atmosphere was very nice We will come back for the food

A neighborhood gem. Never dissapointed when I come here. They’ve made me hate store bought pasta. Olive garden should be ashamed.

Pasta Plus is apparently a staple in the Prince George’s County area, but up until a few weeks ago, I had never heard of it. Possibly because I don’t usually go that far down into Laurel, but with so many stores and restaurants on both sides of Route 1, it’s extremely hard to see what is offered. Unless you knew it was here, I’m sure you’ve probably passed it several times too. This is a very unexpected charming restaurant that serves(wait for it) Italian dishes. The inside layout is a bit congested with tables randomly placed in three separate rooms and the tables are too close for my liking, but it’s a quaint restaurant none the less. Directly next door to the restaurant is an Italian Gourmet Market, also owned by Pasta Plus, where different Italian ingredients, wines, breads, etc., can be purchased. Carryout is also offered if you decide that you don’t want to dine in. I met up with a few fellow Unilocalers and we decided to order a few dishes and eat family style. For appetizers we ordered the bruschetta and the Scungilli Marinara which is conch with marinara sauce. The sauce was absolutely delicious, but the bruschetta was very unmemorable. For entrees we ordered the lasagna, Gamberi al Vino Bianco(sautéed shrimp served in a wine sauce with a side of pasta) and Fettuccine Verde — Spinach Fettuccine(Served with tomato sauce, eggplant and ricotta cheese). All three dishes were delicious! The lasagna was some of the best I’ve had in a while. The shrimp in the bianco dish were plump and very tasty. Even though I wouldn’t have normally ordered the spinach fettuccine with eggplant, that was surprisingly really good also. Each entrée was accompanied by a house salad. Dessert was also ordered, but since I didn’t partake, I can’t comment on it. Our server was very attentive and made sure everything was going well at our table. We never had to worry about refills and he was rather friendly. I can’t say that I would rush back here for dinner in the near future, because it’s somewhat out of the way for me, but if I’m ever in the area and in the mood for some solid Italian food, I would stop through. Nice spot!

Referred here by a fellow co-worker and was anticipating a great exprience for take-out. I ordered the Spaghetti Con Salsiccia Served with Italian sausage in tomato sauce for a family of 6. I guess it would have been awesome if I had ordered my individual portion. I seems like the meat and sauce was lacking on quantity once we got home and divided up everything equally. There was a whole lot of pasta!!! The food was good, but my suggestion would be NOT to order the same dish for more than 1 person. DONOT do a family meal, just everybody order something different.

I had lunch at Pasta Plus a few weeks ago after hearing that their Italian food was really authentic and, well, really good. Tucked in a kind of lonely strip mall, Pasta Plus wasn’t too busy at lunchtime because it is a bit out of the way from the office for lunch. I didn’t explore the whole restaurant, but our dining room was pretty intimate.(Rather dimly lit, also, as the curtains were drawn to avoid the sunlight blinding us.) Our server was really kind, but after we asked for some extra time to look over the menus, we were left alone for a really long time. We were talking, so it’s not as though we were twiddling our thumbs, but we were talking for a really long time(maybe 20 minutes?) when we realized that our orders hadn’t been taken yet. To start, we ordered asparagus with the chunky Italian dressing, knowing that we were going to be indulging in a lot of pasta. This was kind a weird dish? We knew the dressing was chunky, but it was just a very strange sauce to be on chilled steamed(?) asparagus. It didn’t taste bad but it was just a bit weird. We didn’t dislike it but weren’t exactly cleaning the plate. The BREAD was great though, and the olive oil on the table was good quality so we enjoyed that a lot. All entrees came with a choice of salad, and that was fine, standard salad. I ordered one of the specials of the day, the squid ink pasta with seafood. Hey, I was feeling a bit bold, and it sounded really good. It was DELICIOUS. Oh man. As long as you are not weirded out by the black linguine(and you have no reason to really be weirded out by it), it was so good. The pasta itself had just a bit of seafood-y-ness to it, and everything was cooked so nicely. Plus, there was a really generous amount of seafood on it. I really really enjoyed that pasta. It was soooooo good. There was also a lot of it, so I got a box to go. Our server packed up all of our leftovers really nicely, each one in its own box and in a tightly-tied plastic bag. I had to check just to make sure we weren’t taking home the wrong pastas, but the server had it totally under control. Definitely worth a visit and do not fear squid ink if they offer it to you! Next time: I’ll save room for dessert.

Solid, nothing special but consistently decent. Loaves of bread are usually excellent, the rolls are the other hand… Sometimes they are good last time they were hard as rocks. Caesar salad and House salad are always perfectly dressed and fresh! Now, I really don’t love their entrees and I’ve tried a brunch. The chicken arribiato tasted fishy and oily. They don’t make their own rigatoni and penne pasta… Ok random and definitely not as good. Rigatoni and sausage is ok. I had a seafood special once that was excellent. My recommendation would be the chicken Parmesan and instead of a side of spaghetti get a side of fettuccine with aurora sauce. Hazelnut raspberry dessert cake and the fruit mousse is pretty good as well.

Sooo for my first time trying this place, I was less than impressed. The fettuccine Alfredo was very bland, the bread was so hard that I was able to scrape it across my teeth, and the salad was inedible. If I left my review at this meal alone I maybe would give the place 3 stars. However upon inspecting my pizza a lovely hair managed to worm it’s way into the bubbly cheese. Upon further inspection I found that the hair was not only sitting on top of the pizza but baked into the pizza. I will definitely not be returning to this establishment.
