Grew up having lots of great phở in Southern California and Hawaii. Every once in a while, when we’re jonesing for good phở, we’ve gone to An Loi(for the sake of nostalgia), but this is the best phở we’ve had since moving to MD – almost tastes like the good ones from home. Little bro had the bun Bo hue – enough heat and savoriness to finish it up! Two little boys had the shrimp fried rice and they loved it so much that they split the whole thing(they’re 3 and 6 yrs old). Also had to try the jackfruit Boba and the soursop Boba… I prefer the jackfruit one, but that’s because the SE Asian in me has missed that taste! Totally coming back and we’ll take pics next time LOL

If you haven’t tried Phở Kevin you really should. The food is GOOD. The place is clean and smelIs wonderful when you walk in. I am addicted to their summer rolls. Everything we have tried so far is delicious: Grilled Pork Vermicelli, Grilled Chicken Vermicelli, Grilled Shrimp Vermicelli, a couple of different Phos and their Shrimp Fried Rice. We’ve also tried their Bahn mi sandwiches. Those were great. My daughter loves their bubble tea. Their portions are generous and their prices are friendly.

My daughter’s porkchops were great. And the broths were good. My I had terrible cuts of meat in my spicy beef soup. And the noodles had a slimy texture and a slight rotten taste. So I just ate from my daughter’s plate. My husband and son are Phở heads but they were completely underwhelmed. We’ll stick to eating our Phở in DC and Eden Center.

Mediocre phở for a place named after the dish. The bahn mi are pretty good though, and quite inexpensive!

Nestled between America’s Best Wings and Shoppers this hidden gem is not to be missed. Very generous portions and good customer service. If you are undecided of what you’d like to order helpful recommendations are available from your server. If you are a fan of bubble teas, they have a variety of flavors to choose from. On my first visit here I got the chicken wings and spring rolls as my appetizer. I had no clue that my Phở would be in a ginormous bowl. I opted for the large Phở w/rare steak, brisket and tripe. I was unsure if I’d like the tripe but in an ongoing effort to have an open mind to new food items I went with it and it was delicious. **Note to self, currently the only price difference in a small vs. a large is $.70 so go with the large and if you can’t finish it, you’ll have it for later. I didn’t have any disappointment with any of my food options. I held on to the menu a while because I was ogling some of their other offerings for my next visit. Plenty of parking among the businesses in this strip mall area. The restaurant is spacious and has plenty of booth seating.

Great little spot tucked away in a shopping center. We had phở, pork rice noodles, and combo fried rice. Also got both kinds of rolls and some bubble tea to wash it down. Every thing was tasty and well prepared. Very good portion sizes. Kids liked the«soup noodles». Staff was attentive and friendly. Would definitely come back when we are in the area. $ 50 for family of four for lunch.

Love love love the bun noodle with grilled beef. The aromatic lemongrass grilled beef is still lingering combined with the well balanced flavor of nuoc nam. The bowl is big for ladies. I also like the grilled meat combo with lots of vegetables and rice paper wrapper. It’s like a salad wrap if you don’t add the thin noodle with fried shallots. Bun Bo hue, the popular spicy beef noodle soup will warm you up especially on the fall breezy day. Slurp away! It is a mom and pop Vietnamese phở place. It’s not crowded either. It’s like a secret phở tucked in a plaza with shoppers, pier 1, and auto shop. I have to stop by and try the phở next time. Well…now is the next time. Phở is awesome. This place is so far my favorite phở place. Better than Anloi, phở dat than, and phở One-O

Very pleased. I went there with a friend at an odd time of day and no one else was there. We were positively greeted. We sat down and I asked for a recommendation. The waiter recommended a number one so I got that. I also got a lychee bubble smoothie. It was sooooo delicious. Best phở I’ve ever had. The service is amazing the waiter kept our waters filled and got us whatever we needed. The lychee smoothie was very good(I had never had lychee before so it was a unique experience itself). Just thinking about the phở is making want to go back and get some. This is definitely going to be my new favorite phở place.

How often do you get to eat at a restaurant with your name in it? They should’ve named this place Kevin’s Phở: p We walked in and the smell was wonderful– like really authentic Vietnamese aroma. We were seated with our menus. It took about 10 minutes for the waiter to come by and bring us our water which never got refilled during the meal. Even though there was like 4 other people dining there, the wait for everything was so long. I like to eat pretty things and today’s presentation was anything but appealing. The egg rolls came with like 3 strings of carrots on a plain plate with no lettuce. I think they only put pork into the egg rolls with very little mushrooms etc etc that are suppose to be inside. The pork was overwhelming. The raw meat that came out did not look fresh at all. Phở is all about the broth and at Phở Kevin the broth was off. It was bland and not very flavorful. It’s like it was diluted with water. After seeing all the good reviews about this place– it’s sad to say that I’ve had much much better.

I didn’t want to give this place 3 stars, but it didn’t deserve 4 stars because that’s how I rated other phở places in Maryland(Catonsville and Rockville) that were better. This place is good for being located in Laurel. The phở tastes just like phở, however the cuts of beef in the soup are a little lacking. A little variety among the meats would be nice. Additionally, it felt like they kind of skimped on the amount/volume of ingredients in the soup. I know inflation happened, but still… Other places in the area give patrons a ton of food in the soup(or they use smaller bowls). I also had the banh mi here. It tasted alright, but was a pretty simplistic banh mi, lacking much of the nuances of other variants of banh mi that I’ve had. No spiciness of jalepeno, no earthy pâté, very weak pickled taste from the pickled carrots.

4 stars bc I’ll be back to try the Phở and Ba Mein? Sandwiches. Tue afternoon. Not crowded. No lunch specials. Food came out quickly. $ 10.95 for shrimp noodle bowl that included an egg roll. Lots of flavor. 4 large shrimps and Pickeled something was really good. I’m stuffed. Fairly large menu with lots of Boba and drinks to choose from. Good job Phở Kevin. Good job.

Coming from Seattle which is full of amazing Vietnamese food, I’m incredibly impressed! My brother and I ordered a bowl of phở and the chicken wings. The wings were great. Tempura wings I’d call them. Came with the standard sweet chili sauce though, which was disappointing but they were great so whatever! The phở though! It comes out and the air is filled with the amazing scent of the broth. You can really smell the star anise. The plate of mung bean sprouts, basil, etc was all super fresh. Some places give you browned basil or soggy sprouts. Not here! The beef was super tender and tasty. Normally I go all broth and leave the noodles, but the broth seasoned the noodles so well I was eating them too! That broth is just so good. No bland phở broth here! I’m so happy to have found Phở Kevin, and I’m sure my husband and I will be in often while were stationed out here. :)

It makes sense that this place used to be a Chinese restaurant, the décor is super Chinese. My mom and I came here for an early dinner, mom got the chicken vermicelli without egg rolls and I got the #6 phở. Both were pretty good and the staff were all really friendly. Ordered a Thai tea on my way out and wish I had ordered twoo. So unfortunate that this place is so far from my home, I will be back for your Thai tea :)

I believe that Vietnamese food is one of the most diverse dishes to pick from. The mixes of ingredients are health-conscious and solely based on flavoring and technique. Phở is a tasty amazing little entrée, especially when served by Kevin and his Mother. Their Phở(only entrée I have had the pleasure to enjoy/order here) is made with fresh herbs and healthy greens, delicate broth and artfully composed meats. The noodles where cut at a flawless length and their width fit perfectly between chopsticks. Phở can be made with chicken, beef, pork or shrimp(I tend to stay away from ordering Pork since watching specific episodes of HOUSE has prevented me from doing so). Kevin is a great host and takes the time to meet with every person as well as helping them pick out their order. Once he heard that I liked spicy he took away the Siracha sauce and said«Don’t use. I have something for you.» When my Phở entrée came out there was a small dish of freshly cut red peppers and herb sauce that he placed on the side, just for me =) I would say that I am impressed with the way that he took an old dirty Chinese Restaurant and remodeled the area into a clean and(a bit more) modern looking.

Just ok. Feels like a dirty dingy Chinese restaurant. The heater was not on or barely on. I had to eat with my jacket on. I ordered bbh which was pretty good. Bf ordered phở sate. So… As we eat and add the sate sauce… I see a hair in my sate sauce. Greeeeeeeat. Not coming back. Im on a spree of bad restaurant Gahhhhh! Late review for a lunch in dec 2014.

The décor hasn’t changed much from the Chinese restaurant that previously occupied the space. Pretty good phở, nice aroma, well seasoned broth, plenty of noodles and beef. Friendly, quick service. My one gripe is that one tea bag is not enough for the hefty pot. Solid 4 ****. Will be back to try the banh mi.

Average quality Vietnamese food. Nothing stellar; menu items are standard fare. The phở dac biet has a nice broth, but I’ve had better. The vermicelli noodle bowls with BBQ pork and egg roll are decent. The portions seem very ‘controlled’…meaning don’t expect to walk away with leftovers. The restaurant is clean and nicer than some other Vietnamese restaurants in the vicinity. The service is a little slow and they tend to forget some things if you order a lot of food. I will say that their smoothies/boba selections are great! The avocado and mango ones are my favorite!

I have been to Phở Kevin twice and both times were pleasurable experiences. I’m new to phở so I went with my Vietnamese friend to check the place out. He said«it reminds me of my moms phở.» So it sounds like a winnahhhh! Service: The staff was very friendly and observant. A little lacking with the English skills, but I was able to communicate just fine. Food: yum! Very tasty and flavorful. Décor: nothing fancy, but I’m not going for the decorations. If I want décor, I’ll go to Pier 1 lol. Price: very reasonable. I felt like I got a good value for what I paid. Overall: I really like this place. Friendly staff, great food… what more can I ask for?!
